Saigon Rooftops Hostel

The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, they were always up for a chat and always offered recommendations of what to do & where to eat. My hostel also hosts a bar crawl every night & you get taken to really great bars in the city. The rooftop bar in the hostel is so good & a really good vibe. The breakfast is also really good. If I’m ever back in HCMC I will 100% be staying at this hostel again.

Party hostel donc les autres voyageurs peuvent faire du bruit en rentrant tard Je ne reviendrai pas car je pense que c’est plutôt pour faire la fête que pour visiter et se lever tôt (donc ça me correspond moins mais si vous aimez la fête c’est parfait !)

It’s a great property, a bit out the way but great, has plenty of opportunities to meet people as it’s a party hostel, it’s next to a great beer/party street for the pub crawl, although it is pretty pricy (the party street), I also got a tattoo from a local here, it’s absolutely brilliant for the price too, if you go to a nearby shop they WILL overcharge you, I had April at the desk help me with who to talk to about it but if you want to see the artists local work his instagram name is (pinkylife789)

Some caveats are the bathrooms need a bit of a touch up, the ceilings aren’t painted and so have grown a very small amount of mould, and the ac units also need a clean, the one in my room, its filters were pretty bad. But not mouldy which is a good sign, the beds are comfy and altogether the hostel is quite quiet for a party hostel.

Good facilities, bar area, and very friendly and helpful staff. They are always happy to help you with recommendations so ask - they know best. Have since recommended to others.

The hostel is very nice/ clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. It is a party hostel, keep that in mind, I didn’t sleep too well, but had a very fun time. The rooftop is a nice spot.

Kamer was top, eigen douche en wc, goeie airco en voelde aan als een privé kamer omdat er slechts twee nachten 1 andere reiziger was. Staff heel aardig en de barman met roze haar was super grappig en relax. Half uur met hem en m’n maat gekletst en drankjes gedronken!! Zou zeker nog een keer gaan!

The staff were amazing from the beginning and very helpful, the bar was also great and very social!

It could be quite loud, especially as I was staying on the ground floor right next to the pool table so could often hear people playing, but what can you expect from a social hostel?

Breakfast, rooftop bar, small and big lockers for each bed inside the rooms. Although it got a bit noisy on a couple of nights due to people hanging out in the lobby late after bar closing, I suppose that's somewhat expected in hostels. The staff is amazingly helpful and accomodating, all was well

Staff is great….i stayed in private room which was very nice. This is very social hostel. Very easy to talk and have great time with everyone there. The pub crawls are a good start for this. Free breakfast is also perfectly fine also

One of the best hostel experiences I’ve ever had, the staff were amazing and friendly, they were always keen to help and assist you with anything. The rooms and toilets are kept clean, tidy and are well maintained.

The staff is really nice...even after changing hostel they said to me that I can come anytime back to socialize with other people. The rooms (first floor) are quiet and they have actual stairs to the upper bunk beds. The rooftop bar is cool to meet new people and everyday ther is a pubcrawl.

One of the 4 bedroom dorms smelled horrible from the bathroom. I woke up 4 times in the first night because of the smell. The beds are also a little hard. The smell was the thing I decided to switch to another place.

Very social and clean hostel. It’s really cool with the rooftop bar and it’s very easy to meet people. Location is great, if your backpacking Vietnam this place will give you both a comfortable place to sleep but a nice social atmosphere as well

The building is worn out, the bathing facilities are not the greatest, there are no windows in the rooms, and that is the only reason I don't give a full 10.

Perfect begin van mijn reis door Vietnam. Heel schoon en sociaal hostel. Ontbijt niet super uitgebreid maar voor een hostel gewoon goed. Erg vriendelijk personeel bij de receptie.

Ze accepteren alleen cash en sturen je meteen naar een ATM als je geen cash hebt.

The price was too high compared with the services offered and the room

If you like cold showers this hostel is for you. The private room was very poor compared to some I’ve stayed in especially considering it was in the high price range.

Good rooftop bar for socialising and the beds were comfy. The staff were exceptionally friendly and we would stay here again

Firstly the staff are so kind and so helpful. I liked how I felt safe at all times even in a mixed room. The small and big locker to keep my stuff safe was also great. The free breakfast and beer per day was such a great perk.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, helpt je echt overal bij. Gratis ontbijt was ook heel fijn. Chille gordijntjes die t licht van de kamer buitenhielden en fijn als je even wilde uitrusten overdag. Elke avond is er wel wat te doen in t hostel. Het is schoon genoeg voor een hostel. Het dakterras was letterlijk en figuurlijk het hoogtepunt!

Party!

The only good thing i found in this hostel is the staff. They really want to make your stay as fun as possible. The one staff member that stood out to me is Hanah the night shift worker. Unlike the other team members, she actually look at me and listen to me when i talk to her. She is present and genuinely care. If i would over open a business in Vietnamese i will definitely hire her for her integrity and care. Thank you Hannah for making my stay in Saigon as memorable as it can be.

The dorm is dirty. When i was packing my stuff to check out, i looked at the side of the bed and I found what i hoped to be is dried old big piece of bread.. i hope it wasn’t dried poop..

loud at night (but it’s okay with earplugs) , The floor in the toilet is always wet after showering because the shower is just next to the toilet, but kind of fun & a vietnamese experience :D I didnt mind, but was surprised at the beginning 😉

Property is decent at best. Wouldn’t say it matches the rating. Location is good considering the walking street is close by (the hostel is just far enough that it isin’t too loud). The hostel is at the far end of a long alleyway - some might find the walk in dingy. The hostel was social and the happy hour every evening was a good place to meet other backpackers. The staff were very accommodative as well.

Could definitely be cleaner with updated facilities.

I was the only female in a mixed dorm all 3 nights. They had promised at least one more female in room, but that never happened. I slept fine & took showers downstairs… thank goodness for the privacy curtains!

Great location within walking distance of Bui Vien Street but not right in it, staff super friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar is fun.
