A wonderful location. So quiet. Pristine countryside. Well presented house. Perfect.
Definitely need a car if staying here.
Wonderful place to enjoy nature and beautiful Irish country side:) house has all necessary amenities and is very cosy, hosts are most welcoming and helpful! Town with shops is 7 min drive. We were also enjoying a company of 2 friendly dogs, living in the hosts’ house nearby:)
Les hôtes étaient très avenants et sympathiques. Le jardin était joli avec des animaux : chiens, poules vaches canards. Nous avons apprécié avoir le petit déjeuner dans le frigo avec des œufs du pain du beurre du lait et de la confiture.
A nice, comfortable and spacious holiday home, very friendly and helpful owners, well-equipped. We were pleased by breakfast (bread, eggs, butter, jam). We enjoyed our stay.
Everything would highly recomend
Fully agree with all the other excellent reviews. Stayed for one night with my wife and teenage daughter while following the Ras Tailteann bike race. Lovely cosy two bedroom house in beautiful peaceful rural setting, hosts were fantastic, leaving us bread, eggs and jam for breakfast and a wood stove filled up and ready to light for the evening. Beds were all also really comfortable. We all loved it and will definitely be back!
nothing
The place was clean the owners where very helpful. It was the best place that I stayed at in a long time so pre-booked for next year.
There is nothing that needs changing in my view.
A lovely little cottage set in beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable, especially the beds and lovely and warm. Our hosts had lit the wood burner for our arrival and left milk, bread and home grown eggs in the fridge - also oil for cooking, tea, coffee etc. A perfect spot to stay in that area of Ireland.
We loved our stay, immediately when we arrived, Janine offered to turn on the fireplace for us and even got us some bread and eggs. The location is good, it’s very quiet but not too far from Carlow. We would definitely stay there again!
Non everything was perfect
Beautiful house very warm and cosy the owner went above and beyond for us. And I’ll be coming back again
Wonderful little stove blazing on arrival
Tres calme, 8 minutes du centre ville facile a localiser Le frigo avait deja du lait oeuf et pain pour le petit dejeune du matin et la maison etait deja chauffer avant notre arrive
Rien a signele
Lovely and quite and such a country feel. Coil
Genuine farm feel about the place which was what we were looking for. Host very friendly and helpful about that to see in area.
John is a gentleman always ready to help. I’ll definitely come back again. House and views are wonderful …😍
The location the breakfast
The heating is controlled by the owner and I asked if heating could be put on because on my arrival house was freezing and the owner refused and said it'll be on later... for the money you pay for the hours your there.. its shocking really I had to wait for 3 hours to get warm and get washed after a long drive from UK was not happy at all!!
The l9cation the house is really nice however there's things letting this place down..
The first time we stayed was lovely and good to stay but now they control the heating and its only on for 2 hours the house is massive and the heating really needs tk ne on for guests arrival really to feel comfortable and relaxed I had a new born baby with me and didnt like the response when I asked for the heating to be on I got the stove will do for now which ot really wasn't good enough av stayed here a good few times but no way will I pay 150 euro to a place which hearing is NOat accessible at all totally not good for business when you pay good money to stay cold may as well of bought a tent and slept in the woods to be honest... ring me if any problems al be happy to express more thoughts 07497221213
Great attentive helpful hosts, excellent accommodation and location
Very comfortable. Spacious sitting room and kitchen/dining area. Breakfast provisions supplied. On-site parking. Host available to show us around
Great location - a few minutes from Carlow. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Both bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfy.
Accommodation was absolutely pristine (one of the cleanest place I've stayed in!). Hosts were very welcoming and left a range of supplies for us. Lots of attention to detail like the fire set in the stove, cosy blankets and hot water bottles.
Nothing
Los dueños fueron muy amables y nos dejaron todo lo necesario para el desayuno: Pan, huevos frescos de sus gallinas, mermeladas, cereales, leche, té y café. Una atención excelente en un entorno encantador.
Very homely, quiet, beautiful location. Fresh eggs from the farm and jam.
Nothing. We loved everything
Sehr freundlich, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet!
Beautiful location and a warm welcome from our hosts with everything we needed for breakfast.
Lovely little cottage with exceptional hosts John & Janine who live next door in a house that was built in 1717!
We couldn’t get the shower to work properly.. Janine did offer to come over and show us again but it was late so we just had a bath instead.
Notre meilleur hébergement en Irlande ! MERCI
Fresh bread, butter, milk etc. Very friendly hosts. Lovely rural location
We love animals, but the happy jolly dogs have scratched our car by jumping on arrival and they jump without hesitation onto clothes which got stained too :( As a suggestion I would like to know of loose dogs before I book any property to stay. Apart from that lovely hosts and location
A lovely warm welcome even though we arrived late... fresh eggs too from chickens on site and all we needed for breakfast too... a true jem!
Quite location and spotlessly clean. The house was very cosy and comfortable.
The accommodation was spotless and very cosy. Janine and John were such friendly hosts, and made us feel right at home. I cannot recommend it enough.
The property was spacious, well equipped, and immaculately clean. The beds were so comfortable. Janine was available at all times in case we needed anything, and she popped in each day to make up the wood burner. The views around the property are stunning, even on rainy days.
Leaving after only 5 nights! I wish we could have stayed longer. Really can't find any faults with Cooper Hill.
Janine was very welcoming and provided an early check in which was greatly appreciated. Cosy stove lit on arrival along with fresh eggs and fresh preserves in the fridge. Beautiful peaceful farm stay setting. Will definitely return
Very comfortable spacious homely …owners extremely welcoming ,helpful with suggestions as where to eat locally etc .. ensured that house was warm when we arrived back in the early hours and provided food for a lovely breakfast especially organic eggs from their own hens and ducks .
Nothing
Quiet and wonderful place. Janine and John are really friendly. It was amazing time there.
Appreciation for the warm, friendly and considerate host. Janine was very helpful!
Janine was a very kind hostess. She provided breakfast foods but the fresh eggs from her chickens was the best! Watching the cows outside the kitchen window was entertaining. Lovely setting
There were no chairs in the living area that were supportive for a person with back issues.
It was so special to be welcomed with farm eggs & fresh bread. Our late arrival was accommodated with understanding. Beautiful rural setting.
Location, very easy check in check out friendly hosts with breakfast provided.
One small criticism would be that the mattress in the main bed probably needs to be changed not good when you can feel the springs.
Perfect location. Outside of town but only a few minutes away by car. Beds were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen's well equipped and equipment's very clean. Excellent hosts, available if we needed anything but not intrusive. Very thoughtful with milk, bread, eggs, butter and jam provided for breakfast. Always treated to a warm welcome home by the family's lovable dogs. I highly recommend staying here, hope to return soon.
Quiet homely and spacious. Also Haven't ever seen as many Acrobatic Sparrows doing their thing outside the back window. Fantastic
Clean and comfortable
Property was fine but it’s a bit out of the way
Peaceful and comfortable
Clean and green. The hosts had provided fresh eggs upon arrival for breakfast in the morning Among other things. Very hospitable
Beautiful little house within the grounds of a large house. The setting is fab with chickens and geese running around.
Nothing, it was perfect for our visit
Easy going host who provides everything you need and more a short distance from carlow town.
On a farm with plenty of farm animals all about and a fresh supply of eggs every morning. The old Quaker farmhouse alongside the holiday accommodation was an intriguing building with an interesting history especially in relation to the Irish famine.
We had a few problems with the shower but all good after our hosts sorted it out. A housebook would have been useful.
Friendly hosts. Bread, eggs and milk left for us.
Nothing
The log burner, what a lovely touch! Fresh hens eggs for breakfast, what more could you ask for.
Excellent accommodation, which met our needs perfectly, the log burner in the lounge was a nice touch. All rooms were clean and well presented, making it a perfect little home from home
It was a couple of nights stop traveling from one end of the country to the other. Suited us perfectly. Lovely spot. Our short stay proably didn't do it justice. Very handy to get to places throughout Carlow and Kilkenny.
Personal contact with hosts. On site assistance if required. Plenty of parking.
Lovely place loved the owner was so friendly
Nothing
Location suited us , very peaceful private,,,
Our hosts, Janine and John were wonderfully welcoming as were their 2 dogs who were full of fun and looking for a pat. Our cottage was perfect and very comfortable with everything we needed. Janine provided some extras too which was very thoughtful - fresh eggs from their ducks and chickens, home made jams, cereal, oats, milk and bread too. We had a very peaceful nights rest and awoke in our rural idyll with cattle at the gate and chickens at the door.
Having to leave after only 1 nights stay.
Friendly welcome. Helpful explanation of the shower, water etc. Bread, eggs, milk left for us. Hot water bottles available.
The night was cold and we didn't have quick and easy access to Heat. There is a setup open fire which we could have lit with more time on our hands
Everything!
Can’t fault it at all
Warm welcoming hosts. Great stay
More glassware/bowls etc
Include the eir code online just so it's easier find
Quiet location looking out on sheep, hens and ducks

Everything exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were friendly gracious and helpful.
Liked it all.
The location was amazing, the couple greeted us the minute we arrived. They have two little dogs that also welcomed us. The beds were heaven and it was great we could make our own breakfast as there was milk food left for us.
Everything was perfect
Breakfast was great especially with their own free-range eggs.
I liked the location, the house and the friendliness of the host.
Great little house, very clean lovely host. Milk, bread, fresh eggs all provided which was lovely, will definitely come back if in the area again
We were met by the owner who lives beside the property. Very friendly people. The property was absolutely spotless, in a rural location so very quiet, but close to town.
Thank You very much..Hosted by a lovely couple who had fresh milk, eggs and bread and tea and coffee laid on.Took time out to show us around make sure we knew everything available at the property.Property was spotless and really comfortable and couldn't be faulted...100%perfect..
The location was perfect for us .It is up a long drive ,rural location very quiet exactly what we wanted
Location was amazing. Beautiful surroundings and the friendliest hosts. We felt really at home. Every thing was perfect about our stay. Small details like fresh eggs made a massive difference. Perfect place for a family.
Nothing, it was just fabulous!
Very comfy. All needs met. John and Janine were excellent hosts.
We really enjoyed our short visit to Cooper Hill. The cottage is in a great location only 10 minutes from Carlow and in beautiful countryside. Janine was a great host and went through everything we needed to know. We will definitely return next time we’re in Carlow.
Everything was great!
Excellent hosts Janine and Michael. Very hospitable. Thank you
