It is has a great vibe with intentional decor and a very convenient layout...it is literally a home away from home.We were very comfortable and on-site staff were available if we needed any assistance. The house has a security system and is equipped with all the necessities and some luxuries.
The location is spectacular with direct beach access. We met some friendly neighbours and their sweet dogs , at the beach. Dale is incredible... an absolutely top-tier host...100/10.
The only thing I would add here has nothing to do with the accommodation, but more the municipality. The roads can be troublesome in the rain. I would also recommend taking the toll road if you're heading further down the coast for a visit.

Reviewed Mar 24, 2025The atmosphere upon walking into the house had a holiday vibe to it. The whole house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the beautiful frames throughout the home. Stunning art that complimented a beach house theme .Linen and even a supply of pool towels were a great addition.
Dale had a welcome note with a bottle of wine and that made us all feel super special.The teenagers loved the wifi.
The beach house was serene with tons of space and flow. We lived on the patio overlooking the sparkling pool. Sounds of the ocean on our doorstep felt amazing. Communication with Dale was smooth throughout the stay. Safe parking and air-conditioned rooms were a plus for us all.
A short path from the bottom of the property leads to the beach. This made us feel we had our slice of heaven for the three nights
Highly recommended if going with a family of 10 or more and the additional bathrooms made our stay breezy.

The property is in a safe location as well as has all the latest security features. Brilliant patio with ample seating lounges overlooking the pool . Great maid service included.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2024We didn't stay at fiddlewood we were offered a different property owned by the same person called palm sands beach house and it was superb. Absolutely on the beach with private beach access, the views were phenomenal. Beds were super comfy. Dale was very accommodating
Pool was a little small but sufficient since we had the beach at our doorstep .

My recent stay at Fiddlewood was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the owner Dale and staff, who were incredibly attentive throughout my entire visit. The location is breathtaking, nestled amidst the trees and the sea and offering stunning views of the sunrise and sunset every day.
The rooms itself was immaculate, with modern furnishings and thoughtful amenities that made me feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after long days at the beach.
I particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace, where I could soak in the peaceful surroundings while enjoying my meals in front of the pool.
Dale and his staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly sets Fiddlewood apart from other accommodations I've visited.
Overall, I would highly recommend Fiddlewood to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service and beautiful surroundings. I can't wait to return! It truly deserves an 11 out of 10 rating.

Reviewed May 30, 2024The property was superb and very well appointed and would have been suitable for a much longer stay, The location was fantastic for access to the beach.
The property was very secure, but we had issues with the sliding electric gate. There were several occasions when it jammed open or closed. The maid attempted to fix, but we had to wait for host on one occassion.
The house was so stunning it just gives of relaxing beach vibes.. we truly enjoyed the pool especially at night the view is amazing.. being surrounded by nature and the easy access to the beach which is extremely beautiful and clean. Our host Maxine was so pleasant and very helpful, as soon as they knew my dad was in a wheel chair they immediately set up ramps for him. The helper is such an angel. Great place for family time, and it's so spacious.. has everything you need. Child friendly.

The host was exceptional and hands on from initial booking to checking out and ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable! Apart from the beautiful home and stunning pool we had a good night's sleep on the comfortable beds. My family and I extremely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful vacation home. It was our home away from home.

Reviewed Dec 26, 2023Good location close to the sea which we love to listen to. Open and airy plus fans and aircon if we wanted. Linen was clean, beds quite nice. Kitchen nice, large open plan. Our laundry was done by the cleaner who also made sure our place stayed tidy as we had children with us.
We weren't so keen on the embankment below the swimming pool as we had to go around the side to get to the gate for the beach. The aircon was not working in the outside room and it got quite hot in there.

Everything! The host was amazing and made us feel extremely welcome and important. The rooms are beautiful, and the open plan layout makes the living space comfortable and intimate. Lovely view over the pool and garden. Easy access to the beach and just down the beach a wonderful tidal pool. The solar energy is a welcome change from all the load shedding!
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Nothing was not to our liking.
