TANTOR RESORT Hotel and spa Habarana Sigiriya

The property looks very nice, clean, and well-maintained, with a very peaceful and relaxing ambiance. We were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to an upper-class room with a private pool, which was a wonderful surprise. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!

We had some difficulty finding our way back to the room at night. It would be much better if there were a simple map or clearer signs/guidance boards along the walking paths.

Anu heeft een kleinschalig resort met een zestal bungalows. Hij geeft de jonge dames & meisjes uit de omgeving de mogelijkheid om ze op te leiden in de sector en hun Engels te verbeteren. Ze doen enorm hun best om van deze plek een aangenaam resort te maken. Ik kan me niet vinden in de opmerking van één van de vorige bezoekers wat o.a. de prijszetting betreft. - De eigenaar heeft ons steeds geholpen met uitstappen en prijzen aangerekend goedkoper als de taxidiensten indien haalbaar. Als dat niet lukte dan maakte hij er geen probleem van en kozen we voor een alternatief. - Daar waar mogelijk probeert hij variatie te bieden in het ontbijt. Wij vroegen bijvoorbeeld pannenkoeken en dat was perfect mogelijk. De plek op zich is uiterst mooi en aangenaam om te vertoeven, weg van de drukte van Habarana en een goede start voor bezoek aan de culturele driehoek. Zwembad en tuin maken van dit kleinschalig resort een topplek. Meerder wilde olifanten gezien op de openbare weg tijdens ons verblijf. indrukwekkend. Besef wel dat je in een bungalow slaapt en verwacht je dan ook de nachtgeluiden van de natuur. Enkele probleempjes ondervonden doch allemaal vlot en uiterst correct afgehandeld door Anu. Nogmaals enorm bedankt hiervoor!

Понравилась территория, сам домик и мебель из дерева, приватный чистейший бассейн, милые собачки, вкусный завтрак, очень дружелюбный персонал. Нам понравился дизайн домика и открытый душ. Нас встретил в аэропорту ночью чудесный водитель - Асела, который очень аккуратно вел машину (что немаловажно, особенно если вы с детьми) Так же нам устроили приватное сафари в 6 утра, с очень хорошим гидом (он нам многое рассказал про местную фауну). Все рекомендации были нужными и важными. Спасибо!

Это не минусы, это особенности страны. Не ждите от Шри-Ланки и от жилья в целом какого-то супер-комфорта. Касательно домика - мешал скрежет ветвей по крыше ночью и были щели между досками, из-за чего кондиционер не в силах был охладить все пространство. Немного странные замки, как будто из другого века. Небольшие порции еды на завтрак. Но это все мелочи, в сравнении с плюсами. Тут ни на что не похожий вайб, доброе отношение и природа.

The place at night is a little bit creepy. The bathroom had an open ceiling so it was a little uncomfortable when taking a shower and using the toilet.

Sehr freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen (Frühstück und Dinner). Das Kottu war das beste in Sri Lanka! Safari zu den Elefanten wurde zu fairen Preisen organisiert. Insgesamt ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt. Danke!

Super séjour au Tantor! Nous avons été très bien accueillis et Arun nous a organisé toutes nos visites très efficacement (Sigirya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, safari, super expérience avec pêcheurs locaux sur le lac à côté). La cabane était vraiment magnifique et confortable, la nourriture délicieuse!

Our stay was amazing. The staff is absolutely lovely, we had a cosy, functional and gorgeous cabana in the jungle. So many animals in the resort, you’ll see iguanas while having lunch. Food is honestly better than any restaurants in town. We booked a safari with the hotel (amazing, saw a lot of éléphants in Minneriya), ayurvedic massages (the best experience of our stay), and they provided us transfer to and from the hotel. Definitely recommend and I will stay there again !

Hele mooie locatie en mooie huisjes en grote tuin. Via de eigenaar een uitstekende massage en wellness geregeld (wel wat prijzig). Ontzettend lief en behulpzaam personeel.

Ons huisje was voor vier personen net iets aan de krappe kant, maar dat wisten we van tevoren en scheelde natuurlijk in de prijs. Er waren ook grotere huisjes, maar die zaten vol.

Heerlijke, rustige plek met fijne huisjes! Wij verbleven hier met jonge kinderen en het zwembad was een grote plus. Het personeel is ontzettend behulpzaam en staat altijd voor je klaar. De locatie is wat afgelegen, maar met PickMe of de tuktuk van het resort ben je binnen enkele minuten bij verschillende restaurants. Je kunt ook prima bij het resort eten; het eten wordt gewoon bij je huisje geserveerd, wat erg relaxed is.

Het ontbijt is erg zoet en biedt weinig variatie. Na een paar dagen waren wij er wel een beetje klaar mee. De eigenaar, Anu, is vriendelijk en helpt je graag. Wij hebben dan ook meerdere keren iets via hem geregeld. Daar betaal je iets extra voor, wat op zich prima is. Uiteindelijk kregen we echter het gevoel dat er soms flink aan verdiend werd. Zo vroeg hij voor een transfer van nog geen 1,5 uur maar liefst $90, terwijl de normale prijs ongeveer de helft is. Let daar dus goed op en vergelijk eventueel zelf ook prijzen. Verder vroeg hij ons expliciet om een 10 als beoordeling te geven. Wij vinden het belangrijk om een eerlijke review achter te laten op basis van onze eigen ervaring.

Super locatie en super vriendelijk personeel. Leuke knusse hutjes en een fijn zwembad. Alles kunnen ze voor je regelen.

Zeer fijne en mooie kamers, leuk zwembad voor goede verkoeling. Prachtige en goed onderhouden tuin. Een van onze beste plaatsen in Sri Lanka! Ook voor mijn vrouw haar verjaardag werd er een mooi ontbijt + taart & muziek geregeld. Heel tof!

Het ontbijt kwam niet altijd optijd. Zo hadden we een pick-up om 08:00 en we hebben de dag ervoor ontbijt inclusief de dranken gevraagd op 07:15. Helaas hadden we alles pas op tafel om 07:45 waardoor we de uitstap later hebben gezet. Ik wil niet stressen op vakantie, dus dat was niet fijn. Het ontbijt kwam redelijk traag.

Sehr schöner, gepflegter Garten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ausflüge konnten mit ihren eigenen Fahrern sehr unkompliziert gebucht werden. Der Pool wurde täglich mehrmals gerienigt. Auf Anfrage nach einem Moskitonetz wurde sofort eines installiert. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Tantor Team!

Die Villas sind sehr schön, das Verschliessen der Tür ist jedoch sehr unpraktisch. Wenn sich nicht alle Personen gleichzeitig drinnen oder draussen befanden wurde immer jemand aus- respektive eingeschlossen.

We stayed in a brand new Cabana. It was wonderful. It had it's own private pool. Anu and his staff made us feel very special and laid on a birthday breakfast during our stay.

Het is een kleinschalige resort met 6 cabanas. Wij hadden een cabana direct aan het zwembad. Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Je krijgt een heerlijk ontbijt aan tafel bij je eigen

Wat mij niet beviel heb ik persoonlijk met de eigenaar gedeeld. Ik hoop, dat hij er iets aan zal doen. Zo niet, neem oordoppen mee voor een goede nachtrust. Verder wist ik van tevoren dat er geen klamboes waren. Die hebben we zelf meegenomen met een stuk touw, zodat we 2 klamboes over de gehele breedte over 2 bedden konden ophangen.

Tentor Resort is een kleinschalig paradijs midden in de jungle. Het park is rustig, schoon en sfeervol. Door de vele bomen is het er over het algemeen aangenaam koel. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en wij hebben erg genoten van de ontspannen sfeer. We hebben in twee verschillende hutten geslapen. Beide waren ruim, netjes en schoon. De bedden en kussens lagen erg lekker en ook de airconditioning werkte uitstekend.

Het resort is milieuvriendelijk opgezet. Dat betekent ook dat je af en toe een mug of een salamander in je kamer kunt tegenkomen. Wij vonden dit totaal niet erg en het past juist bij de bijzondere ligging midden in de natuur.

Prachtig resort met nu nog 5 kamers, er komen er binnenkort een paar bij. Het ligt net buiten Habarana in de natuur, wat de plek heerlijk rustig maakt. Mooi aangelegde tuin, goed verzorgde kamers. Veel oog voor detail. Je kunt er eten bestellen, wat dan aan je kamer wordt geserveerd.

misschien wordt het straks wel wat druk bij het kleine zwembad. Voor de huidige omvang van het resort is het in ieder geval perfect

The rooms are gorgeous and clean. The staff are so helpful and generous. The owner made sure we had absolutely everything we needed and booked everything for us. We really didn’t have to think about anything. The food was also fabulous, we were able to order within the hotel with a 45 minute wait time. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

Super leuk familie hotel! Kleinschalig met 4 houten bungalows, die super netjes en gezellig zijn ingericht. Daarbij een heerlijk zwembad om af te koelen. Lieve mensen die je overal bij willen helpen. Prima ontbijt en tevens de mogelijkheid om er te dineren. Maar er zijn ook leuke restaurantje op korte afstand met Tuktuk (Roti Cafe Restaurant ) of op loop afstand (The Canal Villa Cafe & Restaurant!) bij beide restaurants heerlijk gegeten!

When arriving at tantor, you'll experience that a little piece of paradise has been created here. The environment is lake a big well maintained garden, it is beautiful. The owner literally arranges everything to bring you all the comfort you need. We did an elephant safari and massage via this hotel and really recommend it. The hotel staff is very friendly and the environment is maintained very well.

When in nature, we should not complain about an insect or musquito. But a musquito net is a must-have and it is not yet present in the room.

De accommodatie is natuurlijk opgezet en we waren voorzien van alle gemakken die we nodig hadden. Onze accommodatie was aan het zwembad.

We waren met een gezin van 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen, achteraf gezien had ik eerder een accommodatie met iets meer ruimte geboekt.

Natural surrounding, silence, swimming pool

Emplacement parfait pour safari, Dambulla etc. Anu nous a traité comme des rois et reines, il était très réactif pour les petits soucis du quotidien ou les questions diverses, et surtout il nous a organisé tout notre séjour, déplacements, sorties, etc. Il passait tous les appels nécessaires pour s'assurer de nous trouver les meilleurs endroits, avec des très bons prix. Piscine au top, petit déjeuner très copieux. Repas de l'hôtel très bon et copieux! Nous sommes restés 4 jours mais on aurait pu rester beaucoup plus, c'était un plaisir! Les enfants ont adoré.

Le séjour était parfait, l endroit est magnifique avec un jardin exceptionnel. Personnel adorable et Arun nous a organisé toutes nos excursions. Nourriture excellente et très copieuse. Nous y avons passé 4 jours et il était clairement difficile de dire au revoir à Arun et son équipe!

Sehr schöne Chalets welche mit liebe zum Detail eingerichtet sind. Schöne Lage mitten in der Natur. Pool wunderschön und sehr sauber gehalten! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bietet einen hohen Standard an Dienstleistung. Uns wurde trotz später Ankunft um 9 am Abend noch ein reichhaltiges, köstliches Reis & Curry serviert.

Wunderbare Unterkunft in coolen Holz Häuschen. Personal sehr freundlich und äusserst aufmerksam. Anu, der Manager ist sehr um das Wohlbefinden seiner Gäste bemüht. Kamen erst um 8:30 pm in der Unterkunft an und uns wurde ein absolut fantastisches Rice and vegetable Curry serviert. Kleiner aber herrlicher Pool. Freiluft Dusche fantastisch‘

The facilities and pool were great, and the room was spacious. It was very quiet and we often had the pool to ourselves. The service by the staff was also good.

The beds were very hard and no blankets were provided the first night. The owner sent so Mandy messages it was too much.

The garden is amazing, tree house very nice and pool is well maintained. Anu was very helpful and gave a lot of tips about the area. We did the Elephant Safari through him, highly recommended. Good price vs other jeeps, very knowledgeable driver.

Staff has limited knowledge of English so a little difficult to communicate. But Anu always available to translate. Staff is always trying to help, and property is very clean.

Would highly recommend staying here . We got such a warm welcome with towels and fresh line juice . Its so quiet and tranquil a really lovely experience, but also not far from town . Anu and staff all went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We did not want to leave . We will be back

Ein wundervoller Ort. Der Garten ist traumhaft und schön gepflegt. Wir wurden herzlich mit einem Welcome Drink begrüßt. Es gibt einen tollen Pool. Wir bekamen sogar das Ivory Nest. Alles ist sehr sauber und die Außendusche (Warmwasser) ist klasse. Wir hatten die Halbpension. Das Essen war super. Es gab typisch Sri-lankanisches-Abendessen und auch das ein oder andere landestypische Gericht zum Frühstück. Das Frühstück wurde uns sogar auf der Terrasse angerichtet. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wlan hat super funktioniert. Insgesamt gibt es zwei Hütten, sodass es sehr ruhig ist und man entspannen kann. Schon vorab haben wir von Anu dem Besitzer per WhatsApp einige wichtige und hilfreiche Infos bekommen. Während unserem Aufenthalt konnten wir uns auch immer per WhatsApp austauschen. Es war ein einzigartiger Aufenthalt, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Bezahlt wird in bar. Und Service Charge ist üblich zu geben. Mit Cruz haben wir eine tolle Elephant-Safari gemacht. Fragt unbedingt nach Cruz. Er ist super freundlich und hat mega gute Augen. Er sieht sogar die kleinsten Tiere aus der Ferne und hat uns immer viel Zeit gelassen. Ansonsten haben wir uns auf eigene Faust auch noch Sigiriya und die Rocks angesehen. Besonders liebevoll haben sich die drei Ladies um uns gekümmert. Wir haben sie richtig ins Herz geschlossen und sie bleiben in Erinnerung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl bei Ihnen gefühlt und sie waren immer in der Nähe.

Die Nächte kann man sich wie beim Campen vorstellen. Nachts war es sehr kalt. Bestimmt kann man sonst nach einer Decke fragen. Es gibt einige Videokameras über das Gelände verteilt, was mehr der Sicherheit dient, aber auch für Kommunikationszwecke genutzt wird. Das war für uns wo alles DSGVO rechtlich geregelt ist eher ungewöhnlich und wir haben es erst nicht kapiert. Die Kommunikation über WhatsApp ist für uns auch ungewöhnlich und gerade im Urlaub legt man das Handy auch gerne mal beiseite. Aber für den Austausch ohne Rezeption natürlich praktisch. Die Lage ist außerhalb weshalb man immer ein TukTuk braucht. Wir waren zwei Nächte da. Es war für uns schon der teuerste Aufenthalt in unserer Reise. Wir wollten uns einmal dieses Baumhausfeeling gönnen.

Tantor Resort is a truly authentic place surrounded by nature, a hidden gem that deserves support. The property is very well maintained, and the staff (all ladies) are incredibly welcoming. The owner went above and beyond, helping us organize our excursions and providing his reliable drivers. The service was exceptional.

Hôtel magnifique au cœur d’un jardin luxuriant avec une très belle piscine. Tout était vraiment parfait. Nous avions la chambre familiale avec SDB extérieure. Les repas (petit-déjeuners et dîners) étaient vraiment délicieux. Bref un séjour reposant et un hôtel à ne pas manquer si vous êtes dans le coin

El personal fue muy atento en todo momento y estuvo pendiente de que todo estuviera bien. La comida estaba deliciosa, en especial el Kottu de huevo. La cama era muy cómoda, igual que las almohadas. Muy recomendable pasar unos días. No está lejos de la calle principal donde hay restaurantes y tiendas, aunque lo suficiente para sentirte solo rodeado de naturaleza.

Nada, la verdad es que es un lugar para estar varios días.

Kameralny obiekt składający się z czterech domków w przepięknym ogrodzie przypominającym dżunglę. W domku łazienka z otwartym dachem, więc można brać prysznic podziwiając gwiazdy lub słońce. Welcome drink na powitanie gości. Sympatyczny i pomocny manager - Anu, który doradzi co warto odwiedzić w okolicy. Zorganizował nam świetne safari w Hurulu Eco Park z kierowcą Samantha, który poświęcił nam tyle czasu ile potrzebowaliśmy, oprócz słoni wyszukiwał ciekawe okazy ptaków i opowiadał o nich, a po wyjeździe z parku przewiózł nas drogą między polami ryżowymi a jeziorem, pokazując jeszcze więcej flory i fauny. Śniadania smaczne, urozmaicone. Zdecydowanie polecamy!

Droga dojazdowa do obiektu jest wąska i wyboista, a po opadach robi się błotnista, ale da się bez problemu przejechać w każdej pogodzie. W łazience, z uwagi na to, że jest otwarta, pojawiają się mrówki czy inne owady, ale taki urok natury :)

Everything was great at Tantor. The main highlight was the food - you must try the rice and curry here which are authentic. Hospitality was top-notch from start to the end. Highly recommended!

Sehr schöne Anlage und tolle Bungalows. Pool ist gepflegt und einladend. Die Damen kümmern sich um alles was man benötigt und der Chef behandelt die Gäste wie Familie! Er ist so zuvorkommend und hilft bei allem was man benötigt. Seine Ausflüge wie Safari oder Sigiriya sind perfekt für eine Abwechslung. Wirklich super!

Ein Paradies! Hier passt einfach alles!Auf unser drei wöchigen Sri Lanka Reise war das unser bester Aufenthalt. Wir waren drei Nächte hier und haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt . Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, und durchgehend von den netten Damen umsorgt. Frühstück wie Abendessen oder nur ein Sandwich - alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das offene Bad war einfach toll. Der Pool sauber und erfrischend.Wir haben gute Tips für unsere Tagesausflüge bekommen und die Safari Jeep wurde für uns organisiert. Ein kleiner Abzug für die holprige Zufahrt aber es lohnt sich . Wir sagen Danke und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Tantor Resort. Accueil chaleureux du personnel (serviettes fraîches et boissons), ils sont aux petits soins durant tout votre séjour. Ils nous ont aussi organisé le tuktuk pour aller voir le Lion’s rock. La cabane est superbe, bien agencée avec une salle de bain extérieure qui permet de se doucher avec la nature. Clim très appréciable. Le jardin est rempli de plantes et arbres fruitiers, et la piscine est très belle et permet de bien se rafraîchir. Enfin le petit déjeuner était copieux et nous avons aussi dîné ici tous les soirs, un délice ! Nous conseillons le kottu masala (portions copieuses). Nous recommandons de venir ici absolument !

Set in a beautiful, lush natural setting, this is a great place to spend a few days. The rooms are very comfortable with a private terrace and huge outdoor bathroom and there is a lovely pool. Anuu and all of the staff were really kind and welcoming and the food was really good. A green oasis from which to explore the sites Would love to go back!

We had a great stay at Tantor Resort. Beautiful place in a quiet location. The host Anu was very helpful in helping us organize anything we needed. The food was delicious. We can definitely recommend this place!

Ci siamo sentiti a casa! Questo resort ha solo tre camere quindi sarete coccolati in un posto incantevole e molto rilassante! Le casette sono spartane ma dotate di tutti i comfort, la piscina è pulita e la colazione abbondante C'è anche la possibilità di fare la cena lì La strada principale dove poter trovare qualche altro ristorante è comunque a due minuti a piedi La posizione è comoda per visitare Sigiryia e Polonnaruwa essendo quasi a metà strada. Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile Grazie!

Hôtel magnifique avec très beau jardin exotique. Les chambres sont dans de petites maisons qui sont au nombre de 3. Piscine très belle et très propres. Le personnel est très gentil. Dîner délicieux ainsi que le petit déjeuner très copieux. Deco très sympa et superbe salle de bain ouverte sur l extérieur.

We had a dream stay in this elevated wooden cabin. All the staff were incredibly attentive, and Anuu gave us great advice and even invited us to a dinner/karaoke with locals — we have such wonderful memories of it. Thank you for these amazing days spent at your place, Anuu. Caroline & Sebastien

Avec ma femme et mon fils, nous avons passé 5 jours au Tantor Resort. Nous avons adoré cet endroit qui correspond exactement à la description de l'annonce. Surtout, nous avons apprécié le calme, le confort des bugalows, la piscine et le jardin. De plus, l'équipe est adorable. Le propriétaire, Anu, nous a donné de super conseils, nous a aidé et a toujours été disponible pour nous rendre des services. Enfin, la nourriture est excellente. Merci à toute l'équipe et espérons revenir un jour dans ce lieu.

GEWELDIG!!! Mooi paradijsje midden in de natuur. Heerlijk schoon huisje aan het zwembad. Iedere dag zagen we neushoornvogels in de bomen. Aardige mensen die alles voor je regelen. Voor ons het mooiste waar we gezeten hebben.

Meravigliosa scelta se volete godervi la pace e lo spettacolo della natura. La struttura è piccola e per questo ci sono pochi ospiti, le persone che vi accolgono sono deliziose e fin troppo servizievoli. La colazione è ottima e super abbondante. Il bagno è all’aperto quindi lo sconsiglio vivamente a chi non ama trovare amici animali in bagno!
