Beautiful surroundings, clean and tidy accomodation with everything to make a wonderf and comfortable stay. Diana is a lovely host.

Jolie petite ferme réhabilitée en logement, pas facile de trouver l'entrée mais une pancarte signalétique semble être le prochain investissement de Diana qui nous a accueilli avec bienveillance. Nous avons apprécié le calme (il n'y a qu'un logement), le barbecue extérieur, la terrasse, la propreté des lieux, la plage à 2 pas, les équipements (lave linge, air fryer, grand réfrigérateur, ustensiles de cuisine en tout genre, serviettes pour la douche et pour la plage...).

Prévoir des chaussures faciles à enfiler pour faire les allers retours à la salle de bain/toilettes qui sont à l'extérieur du logement. L'humidité à tendance à rester coincée dans la chambre la nuit mais cela doit dépendre de la météo ?

Great location, great accommodations.

It was a touch of paradise nestled in between green rolling hills and a black sand beach. Everything we needed was there including a first aid kit in the bathroom.

Beautiful little spot. Very private and quiet. Owner came and said hello and goodbye just before we left.

The outside bathroom. When it said it had a private bathroom, I assumed it was attached to the accomodation. Not ideal for someone who has to go toilet during the night.

It was a beautiful setting with a really nice beach close by. It had everything we needed and cooked a great meal our first night there and ate under the stars. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

Loved the location, rural but close to Whitianga town Beach is beautiful, a minute walk away. Enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the Cowshed surroundings.

The Cowshed is in a quiet location which we liked. The bathroom is in a separate hut but that did not bother us. A well equipped kitchen area which we used to cook a couple of meals. A short walk to the beach. Would definitely come back if we were here again.

Cute place, lots of character - exactly as described, close to the beach and a very friendly host. Beautiful area with plenty of things to do. Recommended

The property was gorgeous with views of the mountains and lovely clean facilities. We comfortably fit four young adults for two nights, Diana’s thought of everything and we had a very lovely weekend. She was a great host and was very responsive.

Wow what a wonderful location and property. If you are looking for all the frills and fancy trimming this is likely not for you but for us was all the better for it. In an area that is relaxed, simply beautiful and has an instant charm, warmth and vibe to it this property and location fit the area perfectly. We will return

Very cosy and clean. Fireplace and firewood for a bonfire to keep warm!

The room and outdoor area was spacious, there were so many extras that I didn't expect including kitchen appliances, tea towels, milk, body wash, the couch was comfortable, the beds were comfortable. The view was beautiful, it was quiet and private. The beach was just a minute's walk away. It was a very and clean comfortable home away from home.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. Everything was spotless. I would stay here again.

Peaceful and rural but not far from town. Very comfortable bed. Very clean and well equipped.

Bathroom is in a separate building. Not a big deal, especially if it’s summer. Just not great when you need to go in the middle of the night.

The place and the area was very nice.

The only thing that we didn’t like that much was that the toilet is outside in an independent little building outside the unit, but it was more that we didn’t expect it.

So lovely to be in our own space a bit outside of town. And to be just across the paddock to the ocean. Washing machine and clothesline was great and all the kitchen utensils! Perfect for families.

It was cold walking across to the bathroom out building - but part of the charm!

Although it was not on the beach it had access to the beach through the campsite which is on the beach

Great view of New Zealand countryside and two minute walk to private beach.

The style of decor was retro in converted farm buildings so it is pointless comparing it with modern hotel rooms. You either love it, as we did, or you should stay in five star hotels. The cowshed was entertaining, comfortable and good value for money.

Diana is a lovely and helpful host who gave us some helpful advice and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back if visiting the area again.

We didn't mind but you need to walk outside to use the bathroom and shower.

Quirky and slightly retro feel just adds to the charm. Friendly welcome from the host and also some good local recommendations. Slightly out of Whitianga but that was fine for us, as we had a car.

the patio was a wonderful place to sit and relax after a long day. The host was splendid to work with

shower head is a little low 5ft ish

Location, country side atmosphere and thoughtful supplies available. Fantastic fire pit we enjoyed in the evening.

Perfect family get away spot . Just amazing .
