Not clean, lots of cobwebs inside, dirty skirtings, bugs in the light fittings. Cheap linen and pillows with stuffing falling apart. Outside door very hard to open and close. Terrible musty smell and old outdated furniture.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026The unit had everything we needed. It was great for a single night after The Lost Spring. There was heavy run overnight so we couldn’t make use of the deck, but the windows overlooking the sea were excellent once it stopped raining in the morning.

There’s no dedicated parking space — you have to park on the lawn. Also, since there are three units in one property, the soundproofing isn’t great and noise from next door can be heard.

The property was advertised as ‘an entire holiday home’, but once paid for and receiving our instructions, we were told we had been allocated unit 1 downstairs. There are actually 3 apartments in this ‘ entire holiday home’ and we were not happy having children in upstairs apartment who ran around until their bedtime! We had to wash all dishes before we used any as they were greasy. We also scrubbed out 2 cupboards that were filthy. The bathroom had been renovated, but the rest of the apartment (namely unit 1) needs a thorough clean, and at minimum a freshen up! The outside deck is a hazard, with nails protruding on the seating. We would not recommend this property to anyone who likes clean and tidy.

Prijs kwaliteitsverhouding. Een Erg gehorig huis, zowel van het appartement erboven als ernaast. Je hoort de mensen lopen en praten. Het huis vertoont wat gebreken; (doorgezakte bank, beide deuren sluiten slecht,) en heeft wat kleine mankementjes. Vaatwasser stonk, en de ramen waren erg vies terwijl het uitzicht juist zo mooi is. Allemaal geen drama maar voor deze prijs verwacht je dat dit wel allemaal beter in orde is.

Thanks so much beachsider if we come back to whitianga I'll be back

Hätte besser gereinigt werden können, viele Spinnweben. Der im Inserat und auf dem Fotos vorhandene Wäschetrockner war nicht mehr vorhanden. Ein Teil der Möbel sollte mal ersetzt werden.

The shower is a bit small to fit and I’m not a big person.
