There were lovely little touches like cotton buds available in the bathroom etc. It felt like the owners had really thought about what their guests needed whilst away.

Our second stay here and just as pleased with everything as the first time.

Værelset var faktisk rigtig fint, hyggeligt og der var nusset om os små hyggeting. Rart og behageligt rum, med det, man kunne forvente. Men så.... da den indiske restaurant åbnede i stueetagen tændte de for udsugning. Den larmede så meget, at vi måtte lukke alle vinduer OG sove med ørepropper. Dagen efter, da vi havde været ude hele dagen og vinduet havde stået åbent stank der af karry og mados i værelset - og vi kunne jo ikke lufte det ud, da det kom udefra. Det trak enormt ned på oplevelsen af værelset.

It was VERY well equipped with everything you’d need - toiletries, hot drink options, fan, hairdryer, but also cute little extras like sweets and marshmallows.

Property was spotless and comfortable with many little extra treats, very thoughtful for tired travellers. A real bonus having a refrigerator as well. Location was good with restaurant options nearby. Great large free carpark right out the back of the building. Perfect for our overnight stopover.

It was a little hard to find - being above an Indian restaurant our GPS was somewhat confused. Also no bar open which didn’t matter but a little confusing as we were looking for a hotel.

I spent most of my time out and about so the noise from the bar below didn't particularly bother me and it was great to be able to pop in for a nightcap.

Location excellent and accommodation could not be faulted.

Found the key box on doorway rather high for me being short. So difficulty in making out numbers. But managed in the end.

Lovely room with lots of treats and lovely touches. Easy to locate and enter the room and plenty of free parking on a weekend during the summer holidays. We spent hours on the beach collecting sea glass. The accommodation was perfect location, very good value for money - would recommend!

It was very noisy till the bar closed but I guess you expect noise staying there. And road noise was also very loud but nothing they can do about that still slept well tho

Constant smell of curry

Muy buena ubicación. Zona tranquila. Edificio emblemático y bonito. Instrucciones muy claras para la entrada. Hay un Costa Café justo enfrente, lo que lo hace muy conveniente para el desayuno, y aparcar es muy fácil ya que hay un gran aparcamiento detrás del edificio. Buen tamaño de la habitación. Decoración agradable. Buen tamaño del cuarto de baño. Personal de limpieza muy agradable.

Mucho calor en la orientación oeste, solo paliado por un ventilador. Cama demasiado blanda. Las luces a los lados de la cama cortocircuitan y dan chispazos. El lavabo está dañado y se ha pegado sin reemplazar. Galletas y/o chocolate en lugar de chucherías lo hubieran hecho más adecuado para adultos.

It was nice having a fridge and kettle in the room and tea/ coffee/ biscuits provided.

The shower did not work - it was scalding hot - and there was actually a sign taped to the wall saying that the shower only had hot water (so it was a known problem). So the only option was to have a bath - not acceptable for a room costing £106 per night and advertised as having a shower.

Location fantastic . Free car park behind . No breakfast , but I took my own . Loads cafes and fish shops nearby . Humbles cafe , best steak pie I’ve ever had . Green Room was spotless. Little extras a bonus . Fan , safe , iron in room . Easy access by keypad , code sent to email . Bus opposite to seaham Hall then a few hours walking back to Seaham sea glass hunting Definitely recommend . Any questions I rung property . Quickly answered . Will definitely go again

I highly recommended the place, good value for money , the room is tidy and clean , the bed was best, my son and I slept well. Location is great near shops, restaurants and seaside. I messaged the owner and we got a quick response. Thank you We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Thank you so much

The noise from the bar, and the restaurant underneath, the restaurant had big extractor fans going which were loud and pumped the food smell into our window.

Perfect for multiple beaches and town centre. Everything walkable.

Shower did not drain properly think waste trap needed a good clean and emptying plus the plug from hand basin was not fitted left on the side so difficult for husband to have a shave Bed not the most comfortable springs coming through thin mattress

We were given clear instructions on how to get in to the property. Then the room itself blew us away. It was perfect. Clean, homely, loved the treats, and the style was comforting, everything about it was amazing. It was a perfect location, everything on our doorstep. We explored all of the beaches and enjoyed the crystal clear waters, even saw dolphins. All on foot. Perfect.

The only thing, and this is a personal thing, there was quite a few stairs to carry luggage up. But that's purely my own issue because I'm healing after cancer and chemotherapy and my body isn't as spritely as it used to be :)

The thoughtful daily room.service to try to keep the room cool during the very hot weather -I returned to the room at the end of each day to find blinds drawn, fan on , and battery decorative candle feature switched on making the room look and feel very relaxing and inviting. A very nice touch indeed

The room size was good and the self check in was a great idea. It meant we could come and go as we pleased.

The bed was a little bit creaky but it was comfortable enough so we're probably just being picky.

Very nice clean room and loved the nice little touches , ie love hearts on the pillows and a nice welcome tray.

We got the keys out of the key safe on arrival and made our way to our room which was lovely. We went out for the evening and when we arrived back at 10.55pm, we were locked out. The top key to the outside was working, but the bottom lock had had the dead lock put on from the inside, so we were locked out. Our car keys were in the room so we wouldn't have even been able to sleep in the car. I rang the phone No for the place but obviously no one there as its self service. I just happened to see someone still in the Indian restaurant adjoining the hotel. I knocked on the window but they just ignored us thinking it was someone messing about. I googled their number and they eventually answered the phone. I explained the situation and they came and opened the door. They told us that they lock it when their restaurant shuts at 10.30, but surely they shouldn't be putting the dead lock on. We got up to our room which was on the back and 2 minutes later we saw the staff of the restaurant going out the back gates and locking up, so 5 minutes later we would have totally been locked out. We were supposed to be stopping another night, but this put us off and we left the next morning. We saw the housekeeping lady on the way out, and explained what had happened and she said she arrived sometimes and the dead lock has been on. I told one of the owners who was working in the cafe/ shop at the back and he didnt seem on but bothered.

Beautiful room in great central location. Fabulous treats in room a lovely touch. Quiet and cosy. I worried about noise from the bar on the floor below but it’s only open Friday and Saturday and was closed by the time I got home at 10.30pm! 😃 Pizza from Slice right behind is delicious!

The only issue was the crack in the sink in the en-suite it looks like it’s been there a while. View not great, but we didn’t spent much time in the room. The biscuits and sweets were a nice touch. Thank you

Clean, comfortable,easy accessible, nice treats left each day. Well stocked with tea , coffee and hot chocolate.. good parking nearby. Lots of places to eat . breakfast at wakey wakey is a must ..from bacon sandwich to massive pancakes , waffles, as well as bowls with halloumi avocados beans scrambled eggs hash browns and toast

It’s a great location, 5 minute walk to all the local cafes and shops, right by the beach too so everything within walking distance. The room itself has everything you need, bed was comfy, had tea & coffee and a fridge which was super helpful. The room was super modern and clean, bathroom was also good, they had nice little touches like welcome treats which I thought was really sweet of them.

Honestly it was a lovely stay, don’t be put off that it is above a bar and restaurant, it was absolutely fine hardly any noise and you’re sorted for dinner and a drink!

Breakfast was not available. Location was perfect for my needs. The room was immaculate, the facilities were perfect. Ample clean towels were provided & the attention to detail was amazing. The location was ideal, so quiet, centrally placed & only a very short walk to the restaurants etc.

Nothing really apart from there was nobody staffing the property but in reality that did not cause any issues.

Location was perfect, so close to a lot of things needed. The room was light and airy and we loved the little sweets that were left. The little touches made it wonderful.

Last minute cancellation

It was near to the beach and places were within walking distance.

The accommodation is above an Indian restaurant which is accessed through the same front door as the accommodation, so the door is left open to anybody until 10pm when it is shut. Accommodation customers then use a key to get in. As it is open to anybody before 10pm we had someone walk in from the street who had apparently been on a robbery spree. He dumped some stuff on floor 2 and was trying doors to get in. The police were involved

Location was central for Seaham and ideal for us to visit Sunderland

Unfortunately we were without hot water for 1.5 days. It was sorted eventually - the main boiler was not working and as it was a bank holiday weekend it was difficult for the owner to get a gas engineer to come out. He was very apologetic and has promised us some money back for the inconvenience.

Too many stairs. Broken floor tiles in front of shower. No where to put bottles in the shower. Shower hose leaking badly. Radiator full of dust.

Great location for the beach! The room itself was beautiful, comfy and clean.

There is a restaurant downstairs and whilst the food smelt gorgeous, after a while the smell of curry was just too intense. We were also warned by locals not to leave any property in our car which we parked in the advertised carpark behind -as we were in an anti social behavior exclusion zone.. we did come across a group of young boys in the carpark just sat sticking fingers up at people. Whilst this isn’t the property’s fault it was unnerving knowing the kind of area we were in.

Lovely bright airy room, great central location. Kids loved the sweets left in the room and the hot chocolates. Fridge is a great addition.

No hot water in the bath but this was made known by a sign in the bathroom. Netflix wasn't logged in so nothing to watch but we could have contacted the hosts if it was a major problem.

Unfortunately the wine bar was not open during our 4 night stay, would have been nice if open Thursday as we were visiting for a birthday trip but hopefully next time

Breakfast was not available at this location but we knew that and it wasn't a problem. The Londonderry is in the centre of the town with plenty of cafes within a very short walking distance. It is also across the road from the sea. The room was lovely and large with plenty of tea, coffee, chocolate and sweet treats. There was also a fridge which we found handy.

We were there for three nights and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The mattress was thin and on a metal frame. Had we just been there one night, we might not have noticed so much.

The hot water in the shower was extremely hot with no cold option, but it was fine I had a bath instead, no bother for one night but might become an inconvenience if you stayed any longer.

Nice room layout, very affordable

Bed was very squeaky the first night - could barely sleep. Owners addressed it so it was somewhat improved the next night. Probably a new bed would make this a stellar place to stay.

Beautiful place to stay, lovely clean room, excellent location. I loved the little sweets and biscuits left out, and the hot chocolate. All it needs is a microwave 😊

Location was excellent. Walking distance to the beach, shops etc Room was very clean and the drinks tray included little treats which was lovely.

The room was up several flights of stairs which exacerbated a leg condition, but I may well have missed that in the description. This did not spoil my stay - the room was great!

The attention to detail was like nothing I have experienced before. Bowl of humbugs by the bed, Love hearts on top of towels, Haribo, Jammie dodgers, mini cookies etc with tea and coffee making facilities, cotton wool and ear buds in bathroom. It made us feel so very welcomed.

Very slight criticism - base of bed is metal frame with metal post that both of us managed to stub our toes on. Matress very comfortable, I would change bed base if possible.
