Stylish Matua Apartment

When we checked in the place was so immaculate we thought we were the first guests to stay there. I had to check the visitors book to check. The amenities were ultra modern and the location (other than the planes flying over) was very quiet and private. The hosts were just great. The beds were SUPER comfortable and tell if I’m wrong the sheets were of Irish linen. Just luxurious.

It is advertised as a 2 bedroom place where in fact there is only one bedroom. The single bed is in the lounge with the lounge, dining, kitchen furniture which we did not expect but looking at the photos it does show the single bed in the lounge area. Better to advertise it as one bedroom with studio style bed in the lounge to avoid disappointment. A bed in the lounge is NOT a bedroom. No sky TV

The whole apartment was very clean and well set up. All the facilities advertised were there and we didn't need anything.

Not sure this is really a Booking.com location. Was tricky to pay, just a room under someone's house in a residential street. A nice room, but well away from the main town and had to drive to everything.

Very clean and tidy, well described on the internet. Fabulous bathroom , best of the trip. Extremely comfortable and convenient. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Off street parking provided very friendly hosts and gave us good insite to places of interest

The only issue was no blinds / curtains in living room only nets, my adult daughter felt very visible to anyone outside while the room light was on at night, and also was woken early by the dawn light.

It is a convenient location, beautifully decorated and good value for money.

We struggled to find the lockbox location.

We were very happy with the accommodation and the care from our Hosts Graham and Lorraine. Every aspect was very pleasant and peaceful. Excellent hospitality and accommodation. We will certainly be back. Thank you.

Location - the location was close enough to town without being impacted by traffic etc. Size - the size was perfect for me but even if another person was there it would have been fine, any more than 2 might have felt crowded. Amenities - had the abilitiy to cook at the unit if I wanted to. Hosts - they were great, I was shown around and then left to enjoy my weekend without interference

As mentioned to the host, the location of the toilet paper was weird and I found it hard to reach, I had to remember to grab before I sat down

Meet at the door, lovely warm welcoming couple, felt like a stay at family or friends place.

Lovely hosts, comfortable beds, very clean, beautiful deep bath plus shower. Great to have the coffee and plunger.

Second bed in the lounge and fridge was noisy at night. No other basics like butter and oil available. Bedding was too hot for the weather.

Friendly and attentive host. Spotless and clean. New apartment with nice finishings. Loved the bath, very relaxing! Comfy couch. Pretty flowers in the garden outside.

If there was anything to improve, it could be some warmer light bulbs in the bedroom side lamps, and perhaps a softer lighting option in the lounge and bathroom. I'm a bit sensitive to bright white lights, but I managed by turning on just one light here and there.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and light filled. The bed and pillows were divine, the shower wonderful and there was a bath - quite luxurious. The kitchen had dining setting for 3 and the cookware was clean and in good condition. We could park out the front of the apartment and the garden was just gorgeous, big windows invited the garden into the rooms, gorgeous.

There was really only a few things which I was hoping for in this apartment; a small washing machine and better stove, it only had a portable two burner electric hot plate which didn’t really do a great job when cooking a steak and veggies. A steamer addition to the kitchen would help with this. Maybe a small drawer style dishwasher too. There was a single ensemble bed in the living room but after a while it didn’t bother us too much.

It was beautiful clean and Graham and Lorraine are fantastic hots.

A delightful self contained ground floor apartment in a lovely setting. Comfortable, bright and airy and well finished with access to a private outside area. We stayed for 13 nights while visiting relatives in Tauranga and it was a real home from home for us. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Offering lots of advice on the local area and amenities. Would definately return there.

We loved everything in our stay and our host Graham and Lorraine were exceptional and went out of their way to waited up for us to pick up the key after mid-night Having gone to the accomodation after hours of driving and attending a family funeral, we were very thankful for their hospitality accomodating our very late after hours check in The apartment is very beautiful and everything in it Graham made sure to let us know where extra blankets were and we also had an extra family member that wasn’t included in my initial booking but we took her with us as she didn’t have a place to sleep for the night Graham
