Marari Charlys Homestay

Charleys is in a lovely setting. Our rooms led onto a large balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. Binu and his wife were very hospitable and cooked us some delicious food.

Quiet, clean, and steps from Marari Beach. Warm, attentive host; tasty home-cooked Kerala meals. Comfortable rooms, excellent value. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic seaside stay.

Very peaceful and relaxing place with a beautiful green garden. Spacious and quiet rooms, simple but comfortable. Excellent location, only a few minutes’ walk from Marari Beach. Breakfast was included and good. The host was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions or requests. Great value for money. How i understood across all Kerala electricity is shouting down sometimes, so AC will not work all the time. But it was not for long without AC, so its not a big problem.

De homestay waar we verbleven was een mooi en verzorgd gebouw en ligt in een mooie tuin . Een mooie schone nette kamer , groot genoeg voor twee personen. Goede stevige bedden ,voor een goede ligging. De badkamer was erg netjes met een goede warme douche. Het gebouw ligt op een korte loopafstand van het strand. De kamer die we hadden geboekt , lag op de bovenverdieping met een heel groot balkon wat je moest delen met een andere kamer . Op het balkon stond een tafel met wat comfortabele stoeltjes , ook was er een soort van sofa die tegen de muur van je kamer stond. alles heel comfortabel. Het ontbijt werd geserveerd in een gemeenschappelijke ruimte op de begane grond. Het ontbijt was smaakvol en genoeg om de dag mee te beginnen. De eigenaar en zijn vrouw zijn ontzettend vriendelijke mensen ,die je met raad en daad terzijde staan. Op het strand zijn enkele eet tentjes waar je smaakvol kan eten. Het strand ziet er schoon uit , strand activiteiten zij er niet. In de 5 dagen dat wij er waren was de zee erg ruw , en kan je , je moeilijk staande houden , de zeewater temperatuur is heerlijk.

Niets . Alleen dat de zee erg ruw was, maar daar kan niemand iets aan doen.

Sehr freundlicher Besitzer. Zimmer und Duschen sind einwandfrei und die Terrasse eine Wucht. Da das Homestay abseits der Hauptstraßen liegt, ist es auch recht leise. Es gibt sehr leckeres Frühstück und der Garten ist unglaublich gepflegt. Ca. 200m zum Strand an dem einige kleine indische Restaurants mit leckerem Essen liegen.

Am Homestay hat uns alles gefallen! Beim Strand sind wir halt in Indien😀: Am direkten Strandzugang liegen einige Fischerboote (sieht nett aus). Allerdings ist es im Fischereibereich immer etwas unsauber(Plastik). Geht man in südliche Richtung, wird es nicht besser (kein Strand-Resort mehr, das für sauberen Strand sorgt). Geht man aber in nördliche Richtung wird der Strand gleich besser/sauberer. Dort waren wir jeden Morgen und Abend baden/schwimmen. Je nach Wellen.

Tout, l’accueil, l’emplacement à 3mn à pied de la mer, le joli jardin très bien entretenu, le calme , le chant des oiseaux et une le ruin spéciale pour le petit déjeuner avec toujours des fruits frais et des pancakes banane /coco à tomber 🥰

L'accueil, la compagnie et le dévouement de Buno et du personnel. Son jardin exceptionnel. La proximité de la mer. La terrasse de la chambre et la vue.

Super séjour chez Charly's Homestay. On a été très bien accueillis, le petit-déjeuner est très bon (très bons pancakes !) et le jardin très reposant. C'est juste à côté de la plage, c'est calme, confortable et propre. Binu et le reste du personnel sont très sympathiques. On reviendra !

Top locatie en een super verblijf. De host is heel aardig en behulpzaam. Prijs-kwaliteit is super en het ontbijt is heerlijk!

A 200m de la plage(propre). Chambre confortable, vaste et propre, décoration soignée. Jardin superbe Accueil très aimable du propriétaire qui a gentiment réservé à notre demande , un massage vers un centre de massage très correct , et de nous réserver un tuktuk . Très bon déjeuner préparé par sa femme: Houm ! crêpes fourrées à la banane et ́noix de coco. .Un délice. Couple discret, très agréable et smart. A recommander.

Beautiful homestay, very clean and comfy and with super helpful hosts. The pictures are not lying, the garden is beautiful and the hosts are taking very good care of the property. The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable it needs to be highlighted here. Overall we felt very welcome and at ease here. It’s just a 3 min walk to the beach and some restaurants

Wifi wasn’t super reliable, but works unless you actually need to work from there

It was an incredible holiday. Charlie and his family are very friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were visiting our favourite relatives. everything was wonderful: clean, comfortable, quiet and the breakfasts were delicious. It was very close to the beach. Thank you very much Charlie and his family for an unforgettable holiday.

The owners were super welcoming and the place was super nice, I recommend it and I thank them for this stay.

Very friendly, helpful homestay. The food was excellent, but owner couldn't have been more helpful. Very short walk to ⛱️.

All was perfect. Only comment would be toilet wobbled.

Rooms were neat and tidy. Our host Binu and wife were always there with a smile to make stay comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and catered to specific needs.

Very nice couple. The place is located at a quiet spot, close to the beach. The beds are very comfortable, warm showers and i had a very tasty diner, provided by them.

We, a family of four, stayed at Marari Charlys Homestay for 4 nights. The hosts Binu and Ancy were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They were ready to assist us at every moment. The New Year’s Eve was unforgettable as we celebrated the new year with the host family and their friends. The beach was at a short walking distance with small but very good restaurants. We really recommend this homestay and the location, we would gladly stay there again.

Great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Binu was quite welcoming and ensured a very comfortable stay. Rooms and linen were clean. The location is great, about 150 meters from marari beach where there are a couple of beach shacks if you want to dine on the beach. The beach itself was quite clean, waves could be temperamental - quite rough for us on day 1 but pretty gentle on day 2.

Very accommodating hosts. We were a group of friends meeting after a decade. The hosts were gracious enough to allow us late check-out. The homemade breakfast was great as well. Short distance from the beach. Would love to visit again. Thanks!!!

Nothing worth mentioning.

Binu & Ancy were wonderful hosts, always smiling. The homestay is set in a beautiful garden and 2 mins walk from the beach. Coconut and banana pancakes at breakfast were delicious and we had a dinner at the homestay, which was tastier than any of the restaurants. We also had private yoga sessions on the terrace with Maiju- he was a great teacher.

Binujohn it’s an extremely friendly host. The facilities of the home stay are very beautiful and clean. I would definitely come again should I be in the area.

Great location near the beach. Some restaurants quite nearby try Fisherman’s cafe. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast . Binh was very helpful with advice and recommendations. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a lovely homestay very close to the Marari beach. It's nice, green and peaceful. Binu, the owner of the place is very friendly and helpful. He helped us get tuk tuks and find a restaurant during our first night. Unlike other places in Allepy that are stuffy and full of mold), Binu's place is spotless, new, and there's even hot water in the shower (for real, not one of those horrible water heaters that are only good for about 30 seconds). I wasn't feeling very well and Binu really helped me by letting us stay in the room on the day before my night flight. He also helped us to get a taxi to Kochi. I highly recommend this place.

There are no nearby restaurants with vegetarian options, but Binu recommended a nice restaurant that was only 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk. It's also possible to order food online from various restaurants.

Everything! Charlys was far and away the best place I stayed on this trip (and that includes the 4 star hotel in Hyderabad). The room was huge with a big clean bed, wooden table & chairs, and good a/c. The bathroom was big, modern and clean. Seating on the verandah with a view over the garden - the setting is idyllic. The hosts are so friendly, welcoming and helpful, serving a delicious breakfast every day and always smiling. I felt very comfortable and so relaxed here and I will definitely book Charlys again if I return to Kerala.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. It’s just a short walk to Marari beach and to a couple of local restaurants for dinner. Transport to go further afield is readily available.

nice clean relaxing space. lovely location if you’re looking for chilled vibes. less than 5 minute walk to the beach and it’s a very nice quiet spot! you can walk further down the beach to more busier spots. around a 20 minute tuk tuk to town

Beautiful place, amazing staff and the cutest most playful doggy!

Lovely homestay hosted by Binu. Highly recommend going on the canoeing trip they offer. Three minutes and you are at the beach. Coconut pancakes and juice for breaky. They can make you dinner if you let them know in the morning.

Perfect spot on a lovely quiet beach

Binu provided us a perfect start in our trip through India. The accommodation is beautiful and close to the beach. The most important point is the hospitality of the host family. Binu helped us to organize several trips and transport. Would come back again!

The caretaker is very humble and nice, I loved staying in his homestay.

The thing which i like the most is their service, binu chettan is always smiling with a positive attitude which makes you comfortable there, and the food prepared by ancy chechi is delicious..Hope they will continue like this
