Sigiriya Woodland Cabana

Nothing at all.

The owner is super rude. Shows cabana pictures while booking and gives you normal room which is not at all maintained. The location is also off, too much construction going around. He only has 1 cabana. The way the owner speaks is pathetic. Also, he doesn't understand english at all. We cancelled our booking as the normal room was below avg. Would never ever recommend this place to anyone.

Very bad breakfast

The cabana was tucked right into the jungle, so we woke up to birdsong and green views every morning. The A-frame design felt cozy but still spacious, and the outdoor pathway through the garden made it feel like a proper woodland retreat. The location was also perfect for exploring Sigiriya Rock, and the staff were warm and attentive from check-in to check-out.

Honestly, nothing stood out as a problem. If anything, we wished we'd booked more than one night!

The most amazing host! He organized everything for us and drove us around Sigiriya, making our stay completely stress-free. His family was incredibly helpful as well, especially when it came to getting around Sigiriya safely and making the most of the sightseeing. We truly appreciated their kindness, hospitality, and support. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and lovely. Highly recommended for all types of travelers!

Abbiamo trascorso 2 belle notti in questa splendida location. Immersa nel verde e situata a pochi minuti di camminata dall'ingresso di Lion rock e dall'inizio del cammino per pidurangala. La differenza la fa il proprietario, un ragazzo giovane che sta costruendo il suo progetto e dal primo momento vi renderete conto di quanto ci tenga e ci creda. Vi darà consigli e vi aiuterà se ne avrete bisogno. Potrete infine gustare delle ottime colazioni con intorno il solo suono della natura. La camera é pulita ed accogliente. A novembre inizierà i lavori per una nuova camera con piscina.

Unica pecca se proprio bisogna trovarla è che si trova lontano dai ristoranti e sarete obbligati a tornare in tuktuk alla sera.

2 tek yataklı diye gittik tek çift kişilik yatak teklif etti kabul etmedik çözüm sunmadılar. Konaklama yapamayıp ayrıldık.

Host provided tukutuk transportation from and to Dambulla. Also organized elephant tour with jeep and one free homely dinner (which actually was not agreed). There were frogs in bathroom, but it is not bad thing as location is in nature. Place is bit far from center but if one is fit enough then walking is not problem (though in evening one may be bit more careful as locals said that wild elephants may cross the roads).

The room and private bathroom were really clean. And the garden wich surrounds the house is really beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast is included and traditional Sri Lankan food. Namal is a friendly host.

Breakfast was served at 7 AM without and option to choose a different time. Starting from 9.30AM we were asked when we are planning to leave as new guests will arrive, altough was the check out time was 11AM. All together we felt rushed to leave the appartement.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a beautiful location, great facilities. The host was so nice and took care of everything for us. He was very helpful, made sure we were always comfortable, and was very welcoming. He drove us places, made food, showed us around.

The location is remote, but easily accessible by Tuktuk. We actually really enjoyed the quiet environment!

The structure is very clean and recently opened, there is the mosquito net on the bed and the Wi-Fi. The owner Namal is a very good person, he organised a tuk tuk tour for us from Sigiryia to Dambulla and to Polonnaruwa at a cheap price. In the evening his mother prepared an excellent dinner for us.

It’s all perfect

As it was located near Sigiriya city, it was easy to walk to Sigiriya. The owner of the house is a very friendly and good person. Very good place I recommend for stay for you coming to Sigiriya
