Reviewed Sep 19, 2026A lovely welcome from Sonia and Johan, such generous and delightful people, a beautifully restored house with great facilities, lovely garden to use and fantastic breakfasts too! Our room was clean, fresh and had a fab en suite bathroom with great shower. Location is great (but like many of these cities here you mustn’t mind the steps!), and it’s an exceptional place to stay.

De kamer is klein, maar dat wisten we en het was maar voor 1 nacht, maar neem een grotere kamer (met 2 grote koffers.) Het is een flinke klim omhoog , maar je bent wel sportief bezig dan 😉

Una splendida villa degli anni ’20, ristrutturata con grande gusto, riuscendo a mantenere il fascino e il carattere della casa originale e, allo stesso tempo, a renderla confortevole e accogliente. Quello che ci è piaciuto di più è proprio l’atmosfera: familiare, tranquilla e autentica. Fin dal nostro arrivo ci siamo sentiti accolti con grande calore, come se fossimo ospiti e non semplicemente clienti. Tutto è curato con attenzione, dagli ambienti alla camera, sempre pulitissimi e piacevoli. Si vede che dietro Vila Julieta c’è passione e un grande amore per questa casa. L’accoglienza è stata davvero impeccabile: gentilezza, disponibilità e quella naturalezza che rende un soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Un posto con un’anima, dove storia, cura e ospitalità si incontrano perfettamente. Vila Julieta è uno di quei luoghi che si ricordano con piacere e che si lasciano a malincuore. Consigliatissima. ❤️ Voto: 10/10. Ci torneremmo sicuramente!

Sonia hat uns tolle Tips für die Stadt gegeben (unter anderem eine Eisdiele und ein super Restaurant Sete fürs Abendessen). Das inkludierte Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut, abwechslungsreich und liebevoll hergerichtet.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Die Lage ist sehr gut, wenn man ein bisschen gut zu Fuss ist, ist alles per pedes erreichbar. Das Guesthouse ist perfekt.. geschmackvoll restauriert, alles wirkt komplett neu und doch basierend auf älteren Fundamenten. Toller Garten und angenehm ruhig, und das mitten in Coimbra. Darüberhinaus gibt es ein tolles Frühstück. Am besten gefallen hat uns allerdings die Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, vielen Dank, Sonia und Jonah!

Trouxemos um problema à atenção do Jonah que prontamente tomou medidas para corrigir. Tanto a Sónia como o Jonah foram extremamente agradáveis e simpáticos. Muito provavelmente voltaremos.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Her is een fantastich guesthouse met een geweldige service. Ik reisde met de fiets en was dagelijks mijn fietskleding; dat kon bij hen snel in de wasmachine. Ik moest een trein halen om 0852 h dus kon ik eerder ontbijten. Service: klasse! Comfort: klasse! Locatie: prima! Het huis: prachtig, en prachtig/luxueus gerenoveerd.
Niets viel tegen. Het enige iets mindere punt was misschien dat ik de gasten in de kamer boven mij op de houten vloer hoorde lopen; zij gingen later naar bed en stonden iets vroeger op. Maar het had geen invloed op mijn positieve gevoel over dit guesthouse.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Es un tradicional B&B. La familia nos dio la bienvenido y nos cocino desayuno en gran cocina. Es facil conocer los otros invitados de todos partes. Es un espacio muy bonito. Todo esta nuevo y limpio. Hay parking en la calle cerca de la casa.
Es un poco dificil encontrar en coche y el camino de andar es pendiente (buen ejercicio).

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026Lo que más me gustó del alojamiento fue la habitación y el exterior del edificio. Todo estaba muy bien cuidado, al detalle. Es un lugar bonito y tranquilo, pero nos resultó curioso que no había TV en la habitación.
Por decir algo, la puerta de la ducha se quedaba encajada con el marco de la puerta de baño, pero tampoco es un impedimento.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026I really appreciated the quiet and friendly atmosphere - The family were very nice and the whole place was immaculately clean and spotless but in a welcoming way. I liked how the doors were open to the outside spaces and it really felt such a cared for place. The garden was a lovely area and I really enjoyed spending time in my room which overlooked it. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the quiet and comfortable space-with very nice shower washes and with lovely sunlight coming in in the late afternoon.. the breakfast was very nice and the recommendations for eating out were really great. I did find the hill to get to the house steeper than I expected as I didn’t read the other reviews very fully but it was ok once I got used to it! in hindsight I’d have taken a taxi from the station! Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Al posto loro avrei evitato che il gattino andasse in giro ovunque. Purtroppo la mia camera era con il bagno privato ma fuori della stanza, per una notte non è stato un grosso problema ma il prezzo era eccessivo per questa condizione.

Nous avons réservé une chambre double avant de nous rendre compte sur place que la salle de bains, certes privative, n’était pas dans la chambre. Après vérification c’est bien ce que nous avions réservé mais franchement ce n’était pas clair du tout et ce point devrait être signalé de façon beaucoup plus explicite. Pour une nuit ça va, mais ça a quand même gâché le plaisir. Un seul peignoir pour deux dans la chambre alors qu’il faut traverser le couloir pour aller dans la salle de bains.

Our room was ready several hours before the official check-in time, and we were kindly allowed to check in early at no extra charge. Jonah gave us a very warm welcome and shared some helpful tips about Coimbra. Everything was very clean, the room was cosy and comfortable, with air conditioning, a comfortable bed and a lovely terrace. The private bathroom just across the corridor didn’t bother us at all. Breakfast in the garden was excellent, with a nice selection, plenty of fresh fruit and fresh orange juice. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Sónia und Jonah sind warmherzige Menschen, die uns willkommen geheißen haben und mit sehr guten Tipps versorgt haben. Wir werden dort wieder buchen, wenn wir Unterkunft in Coimbra suchen.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026La casa è arredata con molto gusto, la camera confortevole e silenziosa. Ottima la colazione con vista sul giardino. I proprietari sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. La posizione è comodissima a dieci minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Coimbra.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Super nette Gastgeber, sehr sauber und gute Lage. Man wird direkt herzlich empfangen und bekommt ganz viele tolle Tipps für die Zeit in Coimbra. Der Garten lädt zum lesen und den Tag ausklingen ein und auch das Frühstück war super.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026The property looked amazing but we ended up not staying as it didn't feel private enough. The family live there, kids running around making noise, and you can litteraly hear whats happening next door. It just didn't fit our purpose and we ended up booking elsewhere.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026A little paradise in the city! This lovely guesthouse offers beautiful garden corners where you can relax and enjoy some peaceful moments. The property is very clean, the breakfast is good, and everything is well cared for. Sonia, the owner, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

They don't have a "Do not disturb" sign that I could put outside the room. Was trying to have a good rest but was woken up 2 times by the staff. Don't think I'll book this place again since my sleep ended up being disturbed and the whole experience got compromised.
