Exceptional with great hospitality

nice staff, lovely family. they even invited us to have lunch with them in Onam, the biggest holiday in Kerala. the room is confortable, we booked a boat tour with them and its was nice. its close to beach too, but the beach is just ok hehe

there is a water pump that makes the biggest noise I ever heard, quite hard to sleep in the morning.

Le Pravanam Beach homestay est situé tout proche de la plage f’Allepey au départ des pirogues de pêche, dans un quartier très paisible rythmé au son des messes, appels à la prière et de la musique, notamment pour la célébration d’ONAM . La famille de Pranav nous a accueilli chaleureusement nous faisant partager ses sourires et sa bienveillance. Les petits déjeuners préparés par la mama sont délicieux avec d’authentiques plats du Kerala. Plusieurs services nous ont été proposés, déplacements en tuk-tuk le père de Pranav, Vinesh étant un très bon conducteur, tour en bateau privé (Shikkara ) sur les backwaters, et autres bonnes adresses pour déjeuner dîner, etc. Pranav nous a aussi gentiment proposé de faire le taxi pour nous amener visiter un lieu où nous souhaitions nous rendre , ainsi que le retour d’Allepey vers l’aéroport de Kochi. Nous avons pu échanger en anglais tout au long des trajets ce qui était fort appréciable. Nous avons adoré séjourner dans cet homestay authentique et familiale , d’une propreté impeccable. We had a great 2 night stay. Location is excellent, close to the beach. Felt as if at home. Traditional kerala breakfast was yummy. Will definitely stay again.

It’s a warm house located in pretty safe neighborhood which very close to beachside , they are friendly and nice family :) even though I’m single traveler they still made great breakfast for me ; room’s clean and tidy , bed’s soft with good fan and AC , they even provide a small tooth paste ! Also tea bags n coffee The father took me to railway station when I left , theirs tuk 🛺defer the most tidy and clean one I’ve ever seen 👍🏾 remarkable.

Perfect location, amazing host family, delicious breakfast, very comfortable bed, excellent facilities (equipped kitchen, fan and aircon, big en-suite). We booked a Shikara boat tour through the Homestay which was very fun and they had breakfast ready for us when we returned home!

Tout, surtout la famille qui nous a accueillis. Pranav et sa soeur sont adorables. Pendant l’absence de ses parents, Pranav a tout géré : il nous a aidé à planifier nos occupations, dont la visite du musée Revi, fabuleux. Il nous a emmenés ensuite voir les rizières où le riz est récolté en ce moment, puis manger dans un restaurant très typique où nous nous sommes régalés de crabe, crevettes, calamars… pour pas cher. Le tour en backwater était magnifique, finissant au coucher de soleil. Nous n’avons jamais eu un petit-déjeuner aussi délicieux, avec des mangues du jardin en quantité, des bananes… le tout préparé par la grand-mère. Et cerise sur le gâteau, nous sommes repartis avec 3 mangues du jardin en guise de cadeau. Si nous devons retourner à Allepey, c’est là que nous séjournerons à nouveau. Réservez à Pranavam Beach Homestay si vous recherchez une ambiance familiale, vous ne serez pas déçus!

Room was impeccably clean and so comfortable. There is a dining table, chairs, and coffee/tea/water available in the room. Both fan and a/c and very fast wifi. Bathroom is very nice, perfectly cleaned, and toiletries provided. The family is extremely kind and welcoming and their complimentary breakfast is delicious. The location is perfect, only a short walk to many restaurants and 2 minutes from the beach. We stayed in other accommodations in Alleppey, but none were even close to being as clean and comfortable as Pranavam Beach Homestay!

Pranavam Beach Homestay is a very fine, large house where the owners stay downstairs and my accommodation was upstairs. They were looking after me very nicely. Thank you for that, Parvati & family. My accommodation had a large kitchen and dining-living room area upon entering from the terrace, leading to two separate bedrooms each with their own bathroom. So it is highly suitable and convenient for families, as well. (During my stay there was no one else occupying the other room&ensuite bathroom.) I was very happy with the hangers in the clothes cupboard of my room because no other accommodation in this price range had them on my journey to this coastline in Kerala. The accommodation is homely and has all the things you may need from tissues and toiletries in the rooms and a well equipped kitchen if self catering is your thing. (I have never met such a well equipped kitchen in this price range yet, either.) The beach is very close to the apartment so it was very convenient for my beloved beach walks. Pranavam Beach Homestay is in a quiet side street which I also valued very much.

I met a few mosquitoes in the bedroom. But that is almost everywhere in Kerala at accommodations. As such I didn't sleep with open windows (having no mosquito net on them like most windows in Kerala). Opening the windows at night would have been the most ideal for me, in these pleasant and cooler January nights, over the fan or aircon.

A nicely air-conditioned room included a separate fan. A nice big kitchen and off that a dining room with a nice couch. From my room you could see the sun setting through the tops of palm trees. The family are first class citizens and very helpful --- the son Pravan gave me a lift on his motorbike to buy a couple of beers for myself. The father has a 🛺 so phone and he can pick you up from the station. Very close to a beach where you can swim and also see fishing boats on the beach. One is also entertained by crows catching baby sea-lice as the waves draw back. I will return....

Most likely our best stay in India. The spacious apartement upstairs is ideal for a family of five. Everything is perfectly clean. Drinking water, tea and basic kitchen utensils are provided. The included breakfast is genuinely delicious and the hosting family is super nice. Great location close to the beach. Lots of options for homemade food and excellent coffee nearby.

The room was spotlessly clean and everything about it felt quite new. The owner's family was lovely and the free breakfast they provided was delicious and vegan on top of that. They also helped me figure out the best mode of transport to my next destination (Munroe Island—definitely go there!). The Wi-Fi worked really well and they can also wash your clothes in their washing machine in case you need that.

We had such a great time at Pranavam Beach Homestay! The location was stunning, and I really appreciated the peaceful vibe of the place. The homestay itself was super comfortable and clean, and the hospitality from the host and their family was beyond great. What stood out most for me and my family was how friendly and welcoming everyone was—it made our time there feel so relaxing and special. The amenities were spot on, and we felt well looked after throughout our stay. All in all, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend Pranavam Beach Homestay to anyone. The family are absolutely wonderful, oh so kind and just superb hosts. The room was very clean, with the added bonus of having the adjoining kitchen (kettle/ fridge) and dining area to use also. The breakfast was extremely tasty, with fresh fruits, eggs, toast with jam and butter, as well as some traditional Indian dishes to try! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location too, super close to the beach as well as a few tasty restaurants. The local bus stop at the end of the road will also take you directly to Marari Beach, a MUCH nicer beach, for just 35p in under 25 minutes!

Nothing to do with the property, but Alleppey Beach is filthy, not recommended for swimming or even paddling.

Nice clean spacious property. Came with a kitchen and living room. Kitchen had a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee and a nice big fridge. Free shampoo soap and toothpaste with was a really nice bonus. The family were very helpful and welcoming. On the day I arrived there was a big Religious festival and the family brought me along to experience it and also to taste all the delicious food. In the afternoon they organised a backwater boat trip which was so relaxing and that evening I joined them for dinner to celebrate their daughters birthday. They also advised me on where to shop for a saree and where to get a tattoo and I was very happy with both. You can walk to the beach and also to the Alleppey Lighthouse from the accommodation

This is such a wonderful homestay, we felt so comfortable here and extended our stay because of this. The family are really helpful and can help you book boat trips and other excursions in the area. The breakfast made by the girls is really tasty and it was nice to have an authentic Indian breakfast each morning. Location is perfect, close to the beach and near lots of different restaraunts/cafe/local shops. Highly recommend staying here you won’t regret it - great value for money!
