× it's very old building , small rooms , × no shelf to keep dresss and all ,small bathroom , they charged me 3050 for 2days for non ac rooms , it's easly can get with pool per day 1500Rs near this × bike Rental also over charge , They have one Dog 🐕 damaged our personal things like shoes and dress... overall very bad experience....

Anmol and Damini are very kind hosts, always willing to help qnd gave us great recommendations. The property is in a calm area, still close to the cliff. The breakfast is so delicious, you have to take it. The rooms are very well planned and nicely decorated.

The matresses sink in the middle or have parts that are saggy.

I had a wonderful stay at Shamak Homestay. The rooms are clean and comfy. It has a nice terrace as well and the area is very quiet. The host is super friendly and helpful. It's around 10-15min walk to the beach and restaurants

Anmol is such a cool host! I really liked how classy the homestay is.The Property is so well maintained and worth the stay and experience and i really can't think of any other place to stay apart from Shamak and i have already recommended it to all of my friends who are on their way!! Dear girls if you are looking for a safer place to stay then don't think twice Shamak is the place! How can I forget the lovely Lil puppy (Glu cloose) ?

The vibe of the place is very nice. The location of the stay is amazing. Anmol is a great host and a wonderful person and always there for any kind of help. All in all, a decent property to stay if you are in Varkala.

The first day was disappointing. No breakfast was served, and the host offered no assistance. This was my first unpleasant stay in Varkala.

The stay is vey cozy and rooms are neat and clean. It is at walkable distance from Varkala beach.Got covered parking for the car. The host, Anmol, gave good recommendations about the places to visit. Overall a great stay in Varkala.

Shamak Homestay is a really great place to stay in Varkala. Only a 15 minute walk away from the North Cliff and 20 minutes from the Black Beach in a peaceful and quiet location. The host Anmol and his staff are very friendly and helpful people who always try to fulfill their guest's wishes. In addition to that they have a very cute and friendly but also laid back dog who loves some good scratches and belly rubs. The tasty breakfast items change daily so that you don't get bored with the breakfast as well. You can easily spend your whole day at this homestay since there are also games and yoga mats available. Highly recommend place!

Some appliances need fixing. Mattresses are a bit hard. Breakfast could be a bit bigger. No electricity backup.

My friend and I stayed at shamak homestay during our visit to Varkala for 3 days. It was truly a great experience! The host anmol was extremely hospitable. He also made some delicious breakfast for us everyday of our stay. The rooms were extremely clean and we'll kept. The bathrooms also were very clean and they even had some seperate facilities incase you needed hot water. It had a very homely feel and the host was very accommodative as well! I also feel the place is extremely affordable and about 10 mim walk away from the north cliff. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend this stay to friends and family!

This property is in a prime location and very clean with a decent budget. It was really peaceful without any outside noises. wakable distance to the beach. Host was friendly and they provided tasty breakfast. Host also helped us to hire a vehicle which was delivered to the property. full property is decorated with handmade art and lovely painting. Will stay here when I visit Varkala again.

Great location, calm atmosphere, 10 mnts walk to beach, responsive host (Anmol) and definately thumbs up for the breakfast with a cup of coffee Anmol is a good host who understands the requirements & does the needful in most appropriate manner

Anmol is a very friendly and responsive host, the location is great, the place has some great elements like games and yoga mats available, food is great, and environment is very pleasant and welcoming

The only complaint would be that the fan is quite loud and it can be very hot even at night, and we unfortunately did not book an AC room

We had a wonderful stay at Shamak Homestay. We booked our stay just fifteen minutes before arriving, and the room was already prepared and waiting for us when we showed up. The guesthouse is lovely—clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We especially liked our room and the added bonus of a balcony. Our host, Anmol, was incredibly hospitable. He kindly sent us a list of restaurant recommendations and things to do in the area, arranged our transport to the airport, and even drove us to the ATM in Varkala Town when we ran out of cash during our visit. Breakfast is served 8:30-10:30am every morning and is always something different, which we appreciated. The location of the guesthouse is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk from North Cliff. We highly recommend staying here.

The room was a little uncomfortable at night with just the fan, but AC units were installed during our stay so this should no longer be an issue.

Our room was lovely, clean with a comfy bed. Hammock outside was great for relaxing. The location of the property was great, a short walk to the cliff and round the corner from a massage place. Anmol was a great host - very friendly and approachable and helped us with what we needed. The breakfast he made was very tasty. And the dog was a big plus.

WiFi was poor so this is the only thing that could be improved

The stay was amazing, the bestest I've been to so far. It was very clean, spacious, great ambience and art work by our host in each room. It was well maintained. Yummy food. It has many indoor games as well. Our stay was worth the money. Loved it, our experience with this stay was great.

We recently had pleasant and peaceful stay location at Shamak homestay and it's also close to the beach. The host Anmol was extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very well maintained and clean. Room with a private balcony are beautiful. He even recommended us with places to visit, arranged a bike and auto for the commute quickly. And breakfast was just too yum.

The place es perfect, great vives, fabulous host. Very clean and spacious. Lots of cool art done by Amol. He is the cutest ever! We plan to return in the future for sure! Fantastic food too. We requested vegan with minimal oil and it was more than delicious!!

Everything was just amazing. I had such a great time over there. The rooms are super cozy and comfortable and those beautiful art work of wall are cherry on top. The staff was so polite and food is to die for.
