⚠️‼️‼️ I checked in to this hostel, upon arrival it was just fine. THE GUY, IDK IF HE IS THE OWNER OR JUST A CARE TAKE CARE BUT HE DID ME SO BAD. IT WAS A WHOLE NIGHTMARE DURING MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WAS SITTING OUTSIDE THE BALCONY ENJOYING MY MEAL AND HE SAT BESIDE ME. FIRST HE SWITCHED THE LIGHT TO DEEM, I SHARED MY SNACK BUT HE WAS UP TO SOMETHING. HE GRAB ME, HARASSED ME FORCEFULLY. HE COULD BE A POTENTIAL RAPIST. THIS WAS SO BAD THAT I HAD TO CHECK OUT AT 10PM AND FIND A PLACE TO STAY UNTIL PASS 11PM. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THIS IS HORRIBLE. THE 2 COUPLES ALSO PACKED THEIR THINGS AND LEFT THE PLACE BECAUSE OF HOW AWFUL MY SITUATION WAS AND COULD BE THEIRS TOO IF THEY WILL STAY.

So the space was good, owner was very informative and very good nature

Расположение очень удобное. Приятный персонал. В хостеле очень чисто - персонал делает уборку каждый день. Есть кондиционер. Можно купить воду прямо в хостеле. Евророзетки у каждой кровати.

Во время сна у моей кровати выпала одна из досок, на которых лежит матрас - на первом уровне не критично и я вставил её обратно, но я бы беспокоился, если это случилось с кроватью надо мной.

Great location, only a short walk to the Fort area. Stayed in a private room and the bed was spacious & comfy. The owner and his family were friendly and helpful.

Very quite place to recharge after a long trip. Staff very kind :)

キッチン料金は100ルピーとのこと使わなかったが。 ドミトリーはエアコンが付いてるようだか稼動してない。ファンのみ。

Room was nice as it was expected. Hostel is near from centre it's a walking distance. It's value for money.

Ubytování bylo opravdu na dobrém místě, pár minut od centra Galle. Velice vstřícný pan majitel a jeho manželka, která nám připravila dobré a čerstvé palačinky. Byl jsem tady s dcerou a 3,5 letým vnukem a vše bylo naprosto super za rozumnou cenu. Majitel nám vyšel ve všem vstříc. Ještě jednou za vše děkuji a budu se těšit na další návštěvu zde. Doporučuji všem.

Easy 10 min walk to Beach Road and ocean. Quiet. Easy 1 km walk to to bus, train station, Galle fort (free). Owner keeps close eye on everything, including us. Two bathrooms help. Cleaned daily, big dorm, AC works fine. Check other sites for price, it pays to shop. Owner didn't change sheets after one person left, but did after second. Owners behavior erratic at times, but it's about money, deal with it. Shoes off inside. Cheap traditional place to eat is Uvidi, nearby, on Beach Road, ask.

Had to talk room price daily, even with reservation.

There is no proper lock in the bathroom. As it is shared bathroom, the lock need to be fixed.

there was not much to like in this hostel

on check in at 10pm, i did not like the first room offered; it looked dirty, so was shown another room, more expensive but which was not much better but i still took it [it was late night, i was very tired] this room had leaking showers, no new soap provided, the dustbin was not cleaned from the last person there, the bedsheets had to be changed to new upon my further request, there was a cockroach in the room. i was so tired i went to bed and slept but got up early 7am and left for breakfast....before leaving i arranged with the owner that i will come back at 1pm to check out my luggage, my train to colombo was at 2.30pm....btw i did not notice any other residents in this hostel.....i think, my opinion, i was the only one.....i believe Booking.com should look into this establishment before offering it to other guests....

Everything was good but the owner was not friendly and eager to talk. A strange person.

It's alright for the price you pay. The beds are basic, but the room has AC. You can easily walk to the fort, main bus- and trainstation from the hostel.

Homestay with basic rooms and bathrooms. Fanned small dorms, no lockers, no kitchen. Still, great location for going around the town, good terrace, and amazing neighbourhood (in the forest). I cannot recommend it for amenities but would stay there again because it worked perfectly for my needs (sleep, go out, walking distance to everything). Worth noting that there were multiple double-bookings during my stay (including my own) so maybe find a local to ring them beforehand and confirm.

Very good location close to Galle fort and bus station. Welcoming staff. Good for short stay.

Hotel manager's behaviour is not good. Not too much clean the property. They charged extra money. Booking money was different.

The room was very neat and comfortable. The food provided was very tasty and of sufficient quality. The manager was very friendly and gave me proper advise. Overall my stay in this hotel was very pleasant and I am fully satisfied with their service.

Returned to the hostel in the afternoon after exploring the fort and discovered there was no electricity. The heat was unbearable, so I decided to check out early.

Nice host, they were flexible in a couple of things I asked for. Location pretty good. I liked the surroundings.

Homestay, not hostel. The family has little idea of hospitality, are kind but unprofessional. The premises aren't really appropriate for running a hostel.

Spacious and very clean. Rooms got very warm, but luckily there was AC. Location is convenient: 15 min to train / bus station and to the fort.

A/C is only running between 9pm-6am. Breakfast was very simple boring. Only toast.

The room and the bathroom were both very clean and tidy. The room provided clean sheets and towels. We had a comfortable stay at the place. The staff was polite and friendly as well.

I loved the staff here, they were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms had AC and were very comfortable. Also the activities they were able to organise (jewellery and cooking class) seemed very good value and enjoyable. Awesome location as still relatively quiet but only 5-10min walk from the fort.

Could maybe do with a dedicated social space of some kind.

Nice location, short walk to the fort. Ac in the room was nice. One shared bathroom had a warm shower with decent pressure. But the bathroom could have been cleaner.

I liked the overall vibe, the balcony, the fact that during the first night I had only 2 people.in the room. It is surrounded by trees so not much noise coming from the main road

There are 3 toilets but only 1 working shower, the other bathroom needs refurbishment and fixing Location a bit far.and not easiest to walk. Laundry service a bit pricey 1000lkr

The location is great as it is in the city center; the fort, bus stand, and train station are all within 15 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and barbershops in the area. You can pretty much get anything you need

My room had no windows or air con. It did have 2 fans which helped but it was so stuffy even so. The bathroom could have been nicer/cleaner as well.

The room wasn't cleaned. The floor was dirty and there was a used towel in the room when I arrived. The one bathroom that is shared by all the rooms looked disgusting. I'm glad I only booked it for one night.

Central location very close to the fort (I walked there and back a couple of times) and the main road with buses.

The private room was hot and stuffy and tiny. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was musty. Upkeep of facilities was poor.

The 1st night was hot as i was just alone in the 6 bed room..so AC was not on unles i pay extra, but the 2nd night the room was full and ac was on.

Just a bit weird, at 7.45 am the owner (a guy) came into my room and check the bed sheet and he knows i was still laying in bed but later he came back with the bed sheet and put it on..i quickly sit down on the bed and quickly fix my clothes. Again @9 am. After i finished shower..he return into my room again and sweep the floor..why can't he do it after check out time? Or when i was not there? Or why not the women did all those thing..there were 2 women in the house.!! I didnt feel comfortable...& the way he looked at me.

First good thing is the location, which is really close to Railway station, bus stand and even the fort. 10 - 15 mins walk from the hostel. WiFi speed was quite good in common area.

This is not my kind of stay. I am ok to compromise with facilities, location of the place but not with cleanliness. In this hostel facilities are also basic and cleanliness is below basic. One of the dirtiest hostel I have ever stayed. The bathroom and even the Dorm was smelly. The smell that can’t be tolerated for long stay. The common area in 1st floor infront of the dorm doesn’t have a fan. What is the point of keeping such a hot & sweaty common area. The dorm is in 1st floor and locker is in ground floor. Everytime you want something you have to go downstairs. Also the guy in the hostel(I don’t know who is he) was staring very weirdly. Felt very uncomfortable. I am not sure about people who had positive experience here, but for me this is big no place. Considering all these negative things I felt the price is bit costlier.

Its a good hostel to stay, its clean and the personal was really friendly and very helpful. The location is also very good you can explore all on your owen without rides.
