Wir hatten hier eine sehr schöne Zeit. Die Hosts sind sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend, wodurch man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Uns wurde immer wieder Tee oder Kaffee angeboten und nach zwei Nächten haben wir sogar noch mal neue Handtücher bekommen. Das Zimmer selbst war für uns groß genug, hatte eine sehr gute Klimaanlage und das Bad war zwar nicht direkt am Zimmer, aber wir hatten es trotzdem für uns allein. Warmwasser war auch kein Problem. Am Ende haben wir sogar eine Nacht vor Ort verlängert, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Wir können jedem nur von Herzen empfehlen diese Unterkunft in Galle zu buchen!

Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans cette chambre située un peu au milieu de nulle part, mais à proximité du centre à pied et du vieux fort (environ 10mn), donc très pratique ! L’hôte a été très agréable, et tout était très propre. Évidemment étant dans une maison partagée, il faut s’attendre à entendre le bruit environnant, mais ça donne l’impression d’être chez soi ! Je recommande.

The house owners are amazing people. They were extremely friendly. Room was also good.

There are lots of mosquitoes around the hotel but hotel provides vaporizers and AC.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans une très belle maison familiale. Tout y est pour séjourner confortablement : grande chambre, climatisation, petit-déjeuner, avec également la possibilité de manger sur place le soir. La localisation est idéale pour éviter les prix liés à la forte fréquentation touristique, tout en ayant tout facilement accessible à pied. La location de scooter était top et les petites boissons mises à disposition sont une attention qui fait vraiment plaisir !

Petit problème d’eau chaude mais rien de grave, nous n’en avions pas besoin au vu de températures actuelles

Nous avons été très bien accueilli . Les propriétaires sont très bienveillants. C était très agréable, la chambre était parfaite , Clim, de belles couleurs, très bien aménagée et propre. je recommande sans hésitation.

Nos gustó todo, súper amables, la habitación amplia. No está en el fuerte, que es la zona más turística, pero se puede ir andando (20’). La estación de tren está también cerca, a unos 10’.

A lovely quiet family home run by beautiful sri lankan couple and mother. Had some wonderful talks with them and they went out of their way to help. Spotlessly clean and close to fort. Had your own space and comfortable bed.

I had a wonderful stay here. The place is in a quiet area just a short walk from Galle Fort. The host was very welcoming! I just wish I'd stayed longer!

Seul petit bémol, c'est la proximité du canal qui ne sent pas très bon. Mais ça, les propriétaires n'y peuvent pas grand chose.

Ich fand den Besitzer unglaublich freundlich und habe mich sehr gut mit ihm unterhalten. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass er sich wirklich für mich interessiert. Das war toll. Auch die Unterkunft war liebevoll eingerichtet. Am liebsten mochte ich den Balkon der aus dem Gemeinschaftsraum raus ging.

Prima kamer om te verblijven. Lekker airco. Iets buiten Galle Fort maar prima te kunnen lopen. Hele lieve mensen dus zeker een aanrader.

Le logement est très bien situé, au calme et proche du centre. Tout y est, l'endroit est très joli, cosy, très propre, équipement au complet et les propriétaires sont adorables et très accueillants. Un endroit charmant à découvrir sans hésiter 🥰

Beautiful building. Lovely welcome, gracious and helpful hosts. Large comfortable, quiet room. Everywhere clean and comfortable with communal areas for sitting. We loved being able to make tea in our room. It felt very homely. We were able to do some laundry. The PickMe app worked well for catching tuk-tuks to and from Galle Fort.

Super süßes homestay mit einer tollen Familie

Die Unterkunft war toll die Familie war so aufmerksam.

De var gästvänliga och rummet var lagom stort på summan pengar man lagt.

Frukosten kostade 1500 RS, och läget var väldigt avlägset. Det gick att gå till galle fort men det var väldigt omständigt. Det finns inga restauranger eller matbutiker i närheten och svårt att få tag i taxi eller tuktuk om man inte bokar i ex. PickMe. Fanns inte heller något myggnät och golvet var smutsigt. Internetet var inte av bästa kvalité och den gemensamma toaletten hade behövt en rejäl uppfräschning.

Very helpful host

Gute Lage, man ist schnell beim Zugbahnhof, an der Stelle an der die Busse abfahren und aber auch schnell nach Galle Fort gelaufen. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und man kann optional ein Frühstück mit vielen verschiedenen Sachen dazubuchen!

Heel vriendelijke familie. Eigenaar spreekt goed Engels. Kamer was meer dan prima, met goede airco zonder al te veel geluid Bieden taxi’s aan naar de airport voor standaard prijzen Kon nog douchen voor de vlucht in een aparte kamer en kon bagage de hele dag laten staan

Die Gastgebenden waren extrem nett und herzlich, sie haben uns bei allem sehr zuvorkommend geholfen. Wir haben uns sehr sicher und wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft.

Очень приятное место, остались только хорошие впечатления. Доброжелательные и отзывчивые хозяева, всегда готовы помочь. Атмосфера спокойная и уютная, чувствуешь себя комфортно с первых дней. Всё необходимое для проживания есть, чисто и удобно. Отличный вариант, чтобы насладиться Шри-Ланкой и отдохнуть. С удовольствием остановились бы здесь снова.

Heel vriendelijke uitbater die heel behulpzaam is. Mooie propere kamer. Gezellig balkon waar we in de ochtend een theetje met snacks aangeboden kregen.

Sehr netter Besitzer, Lage war gut.

Unser Badezimmer war außerhalb unseres Zimmers und wir mussten durch das ganze Haus und Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer der Familie laufen was sehr unangenehm war. Außerdem standen in unserer Dusche Wannen und ein Blumeneimer. Das Bad roch auch sehr streng. Zimmer waren ok sauber

La proximité de la ville de Galle à pied et de la gare

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön, die Familie sehr warmherzig und freundlich und es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Wir wurden mit Tee und Keksen begrüßt und es gab sehr gutes, frisch zubereitetes Frühstück. Es wurden sehr gute Tipps gegeben und die Besitzer waren sehr bemüht zu helfen und immer ansprechbar. Wir können die Unterkunft wirklich nur empfehlen ☺️

Sympathischer Familienbetrieb mit Veranda zum Verweilen. Das leckere Frühstück von der Dame des Hauses hat uns speziell gefreut. Empfehlenswert.

空間很大，環境乾淨，冷氣很涼舒服。老闆很親切，會提供問題解決幫忙。難得有提供洗髮精的民宿。

為舊建築改建，環境極大。三人房的單人床床墊嚴重塌陷，不適合再使用。距離Galle古城較遠。

The family are all so helpful and lovely, the room was big, clean and comfortable. It’s in a really nice neighbourhood and only a short walk to the supermarket or the fort. Was sad to checkout of this place!

Accomodation in calm and little bit distant location. Lovely hotel in collonial style. Spacious, comfortable room with balcony. Extra friendly hosts - always smiling, always helpful. I was sick at this place and it was soo relaxing to stay here. Wonderful patio with flowers. Super clean. Water available all the time. We can leave the baggage there after our check out and use common spaces still. Super comfortable and scented bed. Walking distance to railway station 20 minutes.

- everything was ok, maybe the bathroom was a bit further from our room (the room on the first floor, the bathroom downstairs), but we read the reviews and so knew beforehand.

Location is little bit more from main Road. Where we have to go on walk for 10 minutes. Outside the Home stay big Drainage is there. But otherwise Landlord and Their family members are very good, nicely spoken and ready to help in case of needs. I recommend to stay for at least one day.

Nice place close to the Fort! The guy was friendly and help us for transport.

The owner and his family were the most welcoming people. The small double bedroom was much bigger than we expected with a comfy, spacious bed. It is a great location to explore Galle and Unuwatuna. We had a late night flight and he kindly let us leave our belongings for the day and use the shower before we left. We also had a homemade breakfast with plenty of food and drink for 1,500 lkr.

Very friendly people! This place is a 20 mins walk from the fort and is situated in a quiet, village-like area. The room was very comfy with a good bed and an efficient and quiet AC.

I had a lovely stay at 4ty two Homestay ! We spent one night in the budget double room which didn’t feel ‘budget’ at all and was super comfortable with a massive bed, AC and a ceiling fan and a balcony. There is no en suite but a bathroom one floor down to use. The hosts were so friendly and willing to help with everything and they even helped us organise the bus trip to the airport for no extra charge. The location is great about 10/15 minute walk to the train or bus station and to the Fort. Can’t recommend enough !!

Nice, clean and quite guesthouse. The owners are very kind and helpful in providing information and support. The guesthouse is only 15 minutes walking from the fort. Highly recommended also for exploring the surroundings of Galle! I hope to come back!

The family that runs the homestay is really nice! They helped us with everything and were very kind. Our room was also very good and clean. Location is a little bit far from the fort if you have to walk but very easy to reach with cheap tuktuk rides

Not a negative, but the location that booking.com shows you is slightly wrong, it's about 150m further on, by the canal. The property is shown on Google maps so you could look at that

The room was spacious and clean. The owners were very nice. I also liked the terrace/balcony were you can chill out in the shade. Thank you!

I had a budget room. The bathroom was private but not connected with the room, it was actually on the ground floor (while the room was on the first floor). It was ok, I just didn't understand this while booking, maybe it could be described better.. A moskyto net would be nice.

The bedroom was all it needed to be. Nice to have a shared varanda but I got bitten alive by mosquitoes.

It’s a very calm and clean accommodation in a nice green neighbourhood. The family is just lovely and makes you feel very welcome. We liked that it’s not located in the crowded fort but in easily walking distance. Despite the other comments it was super easy to find with google maps. The room was very comfortable, huge nice bed and a strong AC, we had the bathroom downstairs but it was not problem at all. We had the best breakfast in a month there (omelette, banana pancakes, coconut roti, fruit …). We would definitely recommend this place!

One morning we woke up and asked for breakfast and enjoyed it, the next morning we asked and were told we should’ve said the night before? This wasn’t told to us beforehand therefore how are we meant to know. This was disappointing because there are not many places to go for breakfast in the area and we were quite hungry. Glass door means all the light from the hallway comes into your room and lights it up which is annoying. Not really near anything.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at 4ty two Homestay. The rooms are well maintained and perfectly clean. Vijendra and his wife are perfect hosts and took care of all our needs. We definitely recommend this beautiful and lovely place!

Check in was easy and fast. Owner and other staff were friendly. Breakfast for an extra 1300 rupees was not bad at all. Close to the railway station and 15 to 20min on foot to Galle fort depending on your pace. Good value for money and quiet area at night. The AC and fan work fine. Even though the neighbourhood feels a bit sketchy at night, I had no issues and always felt safe.

Not that many restaurants nearby. It's right next to a canal which means lots of mosquitoes. Unfortunately they don't have a mosquito net in the room, so they ate me alive every single night. Wifi was a bit slow at times. Also, I had a detached bathroom downstairs, which meant going up and down every time I needed to use it and that's a bit inconvenient.

Great location, close to the bus station, bul also historic centre. Room was big enough, comfortable bed, tiny balcony big enough to dry clothes. Breakfast was delicious and the owner and the family were super nice. There is also shared space where you can hang out, including nice balcony.

The bathroom was separate from the room. Which was totally okay (as we had the budget room), you can lock it, as it's just for you, but would be nice to have it in the room description so you won't be suprised. :)

The homestay is conveniently located at about 15-20 minutes from the Galle fort, railway station and the busstand. The owner was very helpful with everything; he guided us well about the local transport and sightseeing. Mirissa beach is about an hour's distance by bus and Hikkedua is about 35-40 minutes away. Unawatuna, on the other hand is just about 5 kms away from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough for two people. You can borrow cutlery from their kitchen. AC and wifi worked very well. The owner even accomodated as for another day on a last minute notification. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I'd recommend it to all travellers in Galle.

The mattresses could have been a little better. Also, most charging points had square -pinned slots; it would help if they had round-pinned ones too.

We had a very satisfying stay. Wijendra and his family are sweet and hospitable people. The place is authentic, quiet, and clean, located in a peaceful neighborhood close to everything. Highly recommended!

Room was spacious and staff was friendly

Toilet had an issue where comed flush tank was broken in one of our rooms. AC remote was missing in one of the rooms. Bathroom was smelly in one of the rooms.
