Bombora Balangan Resort

OMG I can’t rate this high enough, we had room lima (5) and it was phenomenal. The staff here are lovely and our room was perfect. We had a bath on the balcony that had super hot water and a small kitchen. My husband went surfing and I sunbathed by the pool. Definitely get the banana pancakes for breakfast they are delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Most minor of minor things.. the fridge and microwave need a double plug… i forgot to plug the fridge back in 🤣

The view 😍😍😍 Absolutely beautiful and one of the best sunset spots in Bali. Perched just above. Balangan beach, this resort had some serious beach charm going. Not fancy, but big rooms, charming easy going staff, pool service and one of the best massages I’ve ever had at the spa. It was quiet and cute, food was fine and drinks were delicious and affordable. Easy place to relax and a short trip into Uluwatu. Would absolutely stay again and missed it when I left! Rooms are spacious and airy.

It needs a good clean up around the main restaurant area, it doesn’t get used as much and is a bit scrappy and dingy looking. Pool lounger chairs needs to be recovered/ updated they’re old and stained but serviceable. Linen was a bit stained- but otherwise clean.

Mooie, rustige accomodatie met mooie schone kamers. Mooi strand voor het hotel. In de omgeving worden nog veel hotels gebouwd (hadden wij geen last van).

Wifi was minder goed.

Aparte de las vistas que son magnificas, la hospitalidad y atención del personal es de 10 🙏, te hacen sentir muy cómodo. La estanciá en el Bombora es muy relajada. Los deasayunos con vistas al mar son preciosos, igual que su puesta de sol. 😊

Die Lage oberhalb des Surf-Strandes Balangan ist fantastisch. Infinity-Pool mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang im Meer. Großzügige Suite mit riesigem privatem zum Meer hin offenem Wohnbereich mit ebenfalls spektakulärem Meerblick.

Ausstattung des Gym-Bereichs spärlich. Handtücher und Auflagen am Pool bräuchten eine Erneuerung. Personal von Bar und Restaurant wirkt zeitweise etwas überfordert, aber ausnahmslos sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist eher nur durchschnittlich.

Great food and very comfortable rooms. Watching the waves from the pool and restaurant was a highlight.

Bombora Balangan Resort is a magical place. The rooms are super clean and spacious, the pool and bar/restaurant area are the perfect place to hang out and enjoy a stunning view over the ocean and surf break. We loved staying there and didn’t want to leave. Staff is also incredibly friendly and warm and food DELICIOUS. 10/10 recommend. Thank you !

The location is a little isolated from shops, restaurants or cafes. But perfect if you prefer to be away from that.

Il resort era spettacolare. Pulitissimo, staff cordiale e gentile, sempre disponibile. Il cibo del ristorante eranottimo, il servizio bar ottimo e la piscina con vista sulla spiaggia e sul tramonto da cartolina. Consigliatissimo per godersi un giorno di relax e riposo dalla vita caotica dell'isola di Bali

The location overlooking the surf beach below was glorious and could be viewed from the restaurant, the pool and our room. The vibe of the property was relaxed and had a real community feel as the pool was central to everything.

We booked the King suite. It was disappointing - there was green algae growing near and in the shower; the bathmat had 2 holes in it and had frayed, there was a similar one in the kitchenette. These were fixed quickly when pointed out to the manager, but it was not a nice start. The floor in this suite looks filthy and was very uninviting. The manager said it was meant to look like this, meant to look old. Regardless it just looked very unclean in traffic areas.

The location, views, accommodation and staff were all great. The resort has the perfect combo of size and facilities that make it feel like home and a little bit lux at the same time.

Quiet location, great sunsets, ideallic pool location, upstairs rooms have great views of the surf break.

No fault of the property, but its a bumpy road and drive in... but worth it

The location is 100/10 with stunning views. Bombora is old school relaxed Bali vibes, the perfect quiet getaway from all the busyness. When we first arrived we noticed that our air conditioner wasn’t working. When the maintenance team were able to fix it the lovely staff moved us to a much better room. The staff here are outstanding! All super helpful and lovely.

The bathrooms are quite smelly. It is common for Bali but these ones were particularly bad. One of our rooms didn’t have this problem but the other two did.

The view was lovely and the access to the surf the reason why people will keep coming back

The food was ordinary and expensive for the quality. The only exception was a pizza on night 3. Also it was hard to find areas to hang towels to dry them and if you asked for a replacement they didn’t have any. Got told off for hanging my towel in the sun because it was a common area and it’s not allowed

Great view, nice pool and near to the beach. Also the food was very good and the massage.

Only minor thing in the bigger appartment in the back for 4 people was that there were no curtains for the living room and you could directly be seen from the other room. So no big privacy. But all other rooms were much better for that I think.

Le service offert pas le personnel était impeccable, la nourriture était excellente, proximité de la plage et l’endroit parfait pour terminer la journée dans la piscine en regardant le coucher du soleil!

Le seul détail est que la playlist de musique était la même les trois soirs qu’on y était. Le disco c’est ok mais pas à répétition.

The view from the room and the pool was amazing. The sunsets from the pool were unlike anything our family had experienced before. Our family spent 14 days in different hotels and villas around Bal, we all agreed this was our favourite. Will be recommending this place to everyone.

Staff were very helpful, happy and accommodating. Views were fantastic. Rooms were huge.

There is not much nearby, but this made it perfect to relax.

Piękny widok, blisko plazy, jesli surfujesz bedziesz przeszczesliwy bo plaza jest miękką surferow. W okolicy znajduje sie pyszna kawiarnia i kilka dobrych warungow. Jedzenie w przyhotelowej restauracji nie jest złe ale nie powala i jest dość drogie.

Na początku w pokoju czuć było nieprzyjemny zapach stechlizny, na szczęście zapach ustąpił bo pokoje są codziennie sprzatane. W 3 osobowym pokoju klima wiała prosto na pojedyncze łóżko.

Bombora is everything you see on the photos and more! From the moment you arrive you feel like you are part of a family. The resort is intimate, yet lots of personal space. All the spaces flows beautifully. Visiting the spa is a must - Putu is magical.

I can honestly say there is not a single thing that we did not like.

Paradijsje in het nog rustigere Balangan direct aan en met uitzicht op de surfspot en op 15-20 minuten van het veel drukkere Bingin, Dreamland en Padang Padang. Vriendelijk personeel, prima eten, ruime kamers met heerlijke bedden. Ook als je met kinderen bent een perfect plekje waarbij de helft van het zwembad ondiep is. Voor mij ook ideaal, omdat ze er een aparte co-working space hebben met goed internet, tafels stoelen, bank en grote TV waar ik ook de voetbal kon volgen. Zowaar ook prima pizza's! Ook sunsets hier zijn fantastisch vanuit het open en overdekte restaurant gedeelte.

Menu was ok, the Australian owner could improve the menu and food quality. It advertised yoga and sushi but that was not available. The restaurant a short distance away had great food and gardens, -shame this property can’t upgrade slightly as it’s in the same price bracket

It’s boutique style and proximity to the beach.

Its location was superb, and the sunset view was the best around. The food was the best food we’ve had in Bali too! The pool was refreshing and the staff were all so great!

L’emplacement est idéal! On voit le spot de surf de Balangan depuis notre balcon :-)) notre chambre était grande, confortable, bien équipée avec un frigo, la clim, un grand lit avec un duvet, une grande salle de bain, bref, on n’a rien à redire sur la chambre ! La masseuse de l’hôtel est juste incroyable on la recommande à 200%! Ça été très facile d’organiser un scooter avec le staff pour la durée de notre séjour ainsi que le bateau pour aller à Lombok. On a adoré cet hôtel et on y reviendra !

Le seul bémol serait la nourriture. Mise à part les plats du petit déjeuner, on a trouvé la nourriture moyenne.

Nice views and close to Balangan surfing. Also the mango cocktails were the best I’ve tasted. The cocktails were well priced!

Food wasn’t that great. Great selection but just missing the mark. I tried 4 different dishes. Very average. Place next door had an awesome menu and great tasting food at the right price.

This resort is absolutely wonderful—a true paradise with plenty of on-site activities; the massages were excellent and the food delicious. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, and the sunsets are spectacular, so I highly recommend it.

There isn’t much to do nearby, so it’s a great place to unwind and relax, but be aware that some on-site services are considerably more expensive than similar options in the area.

This place provided the perfect alternative for us after we were tired of busy Seminyak with all its traffic. It's off the beaten path, which makes it super quiet. But it's right above the beach. The room was huge, with a giant balcony overlooking the ocean and a kitchenette as well! I would definitely come back.
