Staying at this place felt like being at home. The traditional architecture is beautiful. It is tucked away near Imlil, but it is quiet and peaceful inside.
The Staff
The staff are very kind and welcoming. Any time I had a question or a small problem, they were quick to help. They made me feel safe and cared for every day. The owner was very kind and warm. They were kind to offer tea and tajine. And they showed the area and it's nature. The people felt like home. I am very grateful!
The Room
The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well after a long day of walking through the area. Everything is clean. And comfortable. I loved it.
Summary
I highly recommend this stay. It is a great place to stay if you want comfort, great service, and a true taste of the Atlas mountains.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026The property was amazing. It had a spacious communal area. We were cooked for every night and also recieved breakfast, lunch and tea. The hosts were so kind and hospitable. The beds were comfortable and being surrounded by the mountains was amazing.

De belles rencontres d'autres personnes faisant du trek dans ce lieu. La terrasse est très agréable.
Le chemin d'accès est cabossé, en voiture il faut avoir le courage de monter mais ça passe.
L'eau chaud inexistante

Reviewed May 3, 2026L'hospitalitat del Ibrahim, la seva dona (que cuina de meravella) i el seu fill. És un Gite molt familiar amazic i humil on hem coincidit únicament amb altres hostes nacionals i això ens ha millorar l'experiència de l'estada i la immersió en la vida local. Té molt bones vistes des de les terrasses superiors a les muntanyes. L'esmorzar és autèntic i pots degustar el famós amlou. Creiem que la llet era cassolana pel sabor que tenia. El WiFi va super bé! Recomano donar un tomb pel poble, no té preu!
Posava que l'habitació era amb bany privat però era compartit. Ho haurien de modificar per no tenir malentesos, tot i que a nosaltres no ens ha importat. L'habitació literalment només tenia els dos llits, si vas amb molts trastos els tindràs pel terra donat que no hi ha ni tauleta, ni prestatges ni armaris. L'únic que entén l'anglès és el fill, el pare xapurreja una mica francés i la mare amb signes es fa entendre :) Una familia berber real!

Il avait allumé la cheminée exprès pour nous car il faisait un peu frais. le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse au soleil, malgré les 5° étaient exceptionnel, vu sur un Village berbère…

Reviewed Jan 12, 2026If I could, I would give this host 11 out of 10. He is an incredibly kind, warm-hearted and genuine person. He opened the house for us in the middle of the night, arranged his own parking space for us and helped us park. He prepared hot tea very late in the evening, left a heater for us, sat with us for a while and made us feel truly welcome.
In the morning, even though we didn’t have breakfast included, he helped us prepare our own breakfast to take with us for our mountain trip. He provided everything we might need — extra blankets, heaters, slippers — always with a smile and from the heart.
A truly exceptional human being with a big heart. This stay touched me deeply, and I will definitely come back one day. Highly, highly recommended.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2026Lovely place in the Atlas mountains. I spent 3 days here during my bicycle trip around Morocco and enjoyed the hospitality of the owner and his father. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing, just like the tea next to the fire after a long and cold day out.

Reviewed Jan 3, 2026Staying with Brahim’s Gite been a special experience. I bee there for 12 days which is different to most people who do a hike tour and stay there for one night. I been seeing the owner daily and he is such a warm and good person. Even we couldn’t share many words through language barrier we been connected. I could follow his work on the terrace and he tried everything that I feel good. After cycling in rain & ice or coming back from a hike. Expect an authentic Berbers stay on a high level.
It’s just the basic essentials you get and you have to know what you booking. I booked a bit light headed because I didn’t expect it to be that cold. But can’t blame the place for that.

Reviewed Dec 12, 2025Bardzo ładna lokalizacja, co prawda trochę daleko do Imlil ale jeździ autobus. Naprawdę sympatyczny właściciel! Wspaniały i przyjazny czlowiek. Polecam też jego syna - Khalid jest przewodnikiem górskim i może Was zabrać na Toubkal. Dawno nie spotkałem się z tak przyjemnymi ludźmi. Mam nadzieję, że kiedyś tam jeszcze zawitam, a mam taki plan!

Reviewed Nov 17, 2025Brahim, our host treated us not only like guests but like family. He brings us tea and bread daily and shares his meals with us. The house itself is a peaceful haven tucked away up in the village, far from roads and traffic. It was so peaceful and calm and we felt so at home that we ended up staying for 2 weeks instead of the original 2 days we booked. The outdoor hammam is an added treat. If you are looking for a haven away from everything, and content with being without shops, restaurants and other tourists surrounding you, this is definitely the place to be! 💯

Reviewed Oct 30, 2025ベルベル式の素朴で暖かい心からの歓迎とおもてなしに、とにかく感動しました。去り難くて2泊延泊してしまった。没入感を味わえます。タマジクト(ベルベル語)もたくさん教えてもらいました。帰り際に、見えなくなるまで見送ってもらった時は、ちょっと、泣きそうでした。
庭にベルベルのハマムがあり、ハイキングの後のハマムと、景色の良いバルコニーでの温かい食事は最高でした。
ご主人のイブラヒムさんは、料理がとても上手で、各種タジン料理も、豆料理も、最高だった。いろんなハーブティーも美味しかった。
インターネットも問題なく使えた。次回はリモートワークをしに行きたい。
田舎ではあるが、虫もハエくらいで、虫刺されなどは全くなかった。
イブラヒムの息子さんたちは、英語もとても上手で、必要な時はすぐにオンライン(WhatsApp)で助けてもらえた。
Imi Oughladの人は、みんなニコニコしていて、優しい。AsniとImlilのちょうど中間に位置していて、緑のバスでどちらからも5dhだった。バス停から宿までは、未舗装の坂道を登るので、スーツケースなど大きな荷物がある場合は、アスニーからタクシーで行くのが良いかもしれない。
大きな建物で、3グループが同時に泊まれるようにと、キッチンも3つあり、バルコニーもたくさんあった。実際、フランスなどのバイカーのグループや、ハイキングのグループが、ガイドさんたちと一緒に泊まっていた。特に天井は、木のぬくもりが感じられる。車も馬もロバも停められます😊

Reviewed Mar 10, 2025It was a beautiful experience. I had a very good dinner, and I really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Brahim, the host, was very welcoming and kind. I recommend the tour in the mountains with the young guides Marouane and Rida, they were very professional and friendly. I hope to return soon!

Marwan (the nephew) will take you on a hike through the beautiful Berber villages and you will get a glimpse of the authentic Moroccan life here. + The food (Tajine, Cous cous,..) is just as amazing as the view from the roof top and the great hospitality of the family.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2025Beautiful homely property with three roof terraces overlooking the Atlas Mountains and quaint village of Imiourghlad. Facilities were good and clean, location amazing. The people of both the hostel and the village are incredibly kind and helpful, they made our stay so easy and comfortable, cooked lovely food each night and felt like they were family. A hidden treasure.

great welcome! Marwan is a nice guy who explains the good places around and can even guide you there when hiking to waterfalls in the mountains.
the location is a little difficult to access but nothing serious because it is a new village under construction.

Reviewed Sep 18, 2024Brahim and his family are very welcoming and friendly, the place has an hammam which Brahim will prepare for you even before you ask! The view from the roof terrace is stunning, you can look over the mountains and the village of imoughlad.
Their son Khalid speaks very good English and guided us not only through the mountains. We quickly became friends. The family was always around and very warm.
We had the honour of being the first guest of booking.com and extended our stay pretty fast. We experienced so much and gained a lot of knowledge from the Berber culture, we felt part of the family!
