Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Close to the beach (not the best in the island but good for sunset), staff/owner very nice and reliable. In the flat you will find everything you need for the stay including beach chairs and towels very appreciated and useful to go around the island’s beaches.
Part of the facilities are work in progress, good location if you have a car otherwise bus station is 20 min walking distance. Far from the hotel area (which is the touristic one).

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026La ubicación para nosotros fue uno de los puntos más importantes. Estar en Oranjestad significa tener todo a mano, restaurantes, supermercados, atracciones y compras. Es estar equidistante de casi todas las playas. Tener 2 Aire Acondicionado que funcionen perfecto, una cocina muy bien equipada con todo lo necesario para poder preparar lo que uno quiera, una cama King Sice con excelente colchón y 2 tipos de almohadas y otra cama pequeña en otro cuarto, hicieron que nuestra estadía fuera como lo esperábamos.
Me hubiese gustado que al menos hubiera 1 toalla de mano y 1 para la cocina. Así como también un extractor en la cocina para ventilar los aromas propios de la misma. Pero nada de esto es negativo cuando hay otras cosas que pueden suplir perfectamente cualquier incomodidad. Teníamos 2 sillas de playa, una sombrilla y una heladera que nos acompañó todos los días!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I felt very welcome and well looked after throughout my visit. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend Johnny Klip Lagoon and would happily stay again! 🥳🫶

Reviewed May 28, 2026A localização é muito boa, principalmente se você for utilizar transporte público, pois fica a uns quatro quarteirões da estação central de ônibus. Fica perto também do hotel que leva pra ilha dos flamingos. O proprietário é muito gente boa! A habitação tem utensílios pra fazer café e outras refeições. Isso ajuda muito, pois tudo em Aruba é muuuuuuito caro!

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked great, which made it easy to sleep well. The location is excellent—set on a quiet street but still very convenient, with the beach just a few minutes’ walk away and shops about 10 minutes away. There are also nice cafés and restaurants nearby. The apartment is well set up with everything you need, including a cooler, beach umbrella, and beach towels available on request. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, kettle, and hob, making it easy to self-cater. The host was lovely, always smiling and welcoming. Apartment #3 is tucked away at the back, making it especially private and quiet while still being close to the social area. There’s an outdoor table and chairs inside the room, plus an additional shaded communal space with seating and a BBQ. Even though you could hear neighbors at times, they were very friendly, which added to the relaxed atmosphere.
The shower only gets lukewarm rather than fully hot. Only a bar of soap was provided, so you'll need to bring your own toiletries. The door is a keypad with one set code rather than key.

Toilet got clogged twice Owner blamed me for throwing toilet tissue into the toilet. I did that once but after I was told not to, I didn’t and it still got clogged again . Roaches in the kitchen.

Reviewed Feb 26, 2026Ce mi-a plăcut încă de la prima ședere aici a fost locația – este extrem de centrală și ai acces rapid la tot ce ai nevoie. Gazda este foarte amabilă și implicată, te ajută cu orice ai nevoie pe durata șederii. Oferă inclusiv scaune de plajă și umbrelă, ceea ce este un mare plus în Aruba. Dacă ai nevoie, te poate prelua de la aeroport sau îți poate comanda taxi rapid și fără stres. Un alt mare avantaj este poziționarea cazării: autogara se află la aproximativ 7 minute de mers pe jos, iar de acolo poți ajunge ușor către toate plajele superbe din Aruba. Centrul este la doar 5 minute de mers pe jos, iar restaurantele celebre, cu mâncare foarte bună, sunt chiar lângă casă. În plus, aeroportul este la aproximativ 5 minute de mers cu mașina. Per total, experiența a fost una foarte plăcută și relaxantă.
Ce nu mi-a plăcut la ședere a fost faptul că, în apartamentul unde am stat noi, una dintre camere nu are deloc fereastră și nu intră lumină naturală. Nu este neapărat un minus pentru toată lumea, însă eu, venind pentru căldură și soare, mi-aș fi dorit mai multă lumină dimineața, ca să mă bucur mai mult de atmosfera din Aruba. De asemenea, nu există o oglindă mare în apartament unde să te vezi în întregime și să-ți etalezi bronzul de vacanță. Pe terasă există o singură masă cu patru scaune. Nu este deranjant, însă fiind mai multe apartamente, uneori ți-ai dori puțin mai multă intimitate când stai la masă. Bucătăria este utilată cu tot ce ai nevoie, dar unele lucruri ar putea fi schimbate deoarece par mai vechi sau destul de folosite. Per total, experiența a fost minunată și m-aș întoarce cu mare drag la această cazare.

A beautiful and very interesting area in downtown Oranjestad, yet away from the hotel crowds and noise! Overall, we had a really wonderful time there, and the owner was very kind and welcoming to us. There is also a stunning green patio where you can admire hummingbirds. The value of money was also very good.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2025Su ubicación cerca del centro de Oranjestad, con todo lo necesario muy cerca, la estación buses que también utilizamos, era fácil desplazarse por todos estos lugares caminando el lugar y sus alrededores muy seguro, el Señor a cargo del apartamento nos realizó el traslado del aeropuerto al apartamento en un precio bajo frente al cobro de los taxistas, el dueño muy atento en el momento que requería de algo, el apartamento tenía lo básico para la estancia, cocina, aire acondicionado, cama cómoda, televisión, wifi, no es lujoso pero cuenta con lo necesario para un buen descanso y hacer algo de comer, porque durante el día estábamos fuera.
No tengo nada malo que decir.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025Nos gusto que está a unos 20 minutos caminando desde el puerto,esto hace que hagamos ejercicio , la caminata es agradable y segura ,alquilamos un auto y son solo 8 minutos desde el puerto.El lugar es seguro ,con lo necesario para nuestra estadía,la foto que aparece ,donde está la cocina hay un armario ,la cocina tiene su propio espacio,afuera del apto hay una mesa ,una hamaca y un hermoso jardín.El anfitrión nos prestó toallas y sillas para la playa ,muy útiles.Se duerme delicioso sin ruidos y la señora Marlene muy amable.Gracias a la vida que nos permitió conocerlos.
Despues de pensarlo,no hayo nada que no me haya gustado.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2025O lugar não é barato, mas Aruba é um país bem caro para viajar. Curaçao achei menos caro. Eles falam que é apartamento mas na verdade são quartos numa grande casa. A Marleny que é do staff é super atenciosa e dar todas informações do lugar. Acho que para ficar perfeito deveria ter um café da manhã, já que não pagamos barato.

There was a lovely courtyard, but it could have used more seating/table and perhaps cushions for the chairs that were there, for a bit of extra comfort

Reviewed Mar 31, 2025The location is great if you don't have a car, The closest beach is less than a 10-min walk (Governor's Beach). You can also walk to Surfside Beach. You can easily walk to downtown where you can catch a bus to go to Eagle Beach, Palm Beach or Arashi Beach (10A or 10B). There is also a supermarket not too far, a Dutch café, and a few restaurants nearby.

To begin with, the most frustrating aspect from the outset was being confronted by the host regarding cash-only payments. This detail wasn't mentioned on Booking.com. Upon arrival, drenched in sweat, instead of allowing you to rest, the host insisted you go in search of an ATM. The host's understanding of hospitality was lacking. Additionally, the mattress was quite uncomfortable and the fitted sheet didn't fit properly. There was no frying pan available, and the shower head wouldn't stay in place.

The accommodation was a small house with AC bedroom , separate kitchen with all you need if you decide to cook, , a sofa and a eating corner with a big table , bathroom and WC .It is in his back yard, in a garden with few other houses and a sitting place , if you want to eat outside or to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. It is 10 min walk from Oranjestad main street and from the marina with many restaurants and bars. You can reach best beaches by public bus from main bus station , also 10 min walk.

Reviewed Jan 3, 2025The room was very clean and well-equipped with all the necessities you'd need (bars of soap, towels, kitchenware, kettle, microwave, etc.). I really enjoyed the semi-private patio area my corner room provided - the landscaping / flowers are lovely. The WiFi was fast and reliable and the property felt safe. It was convenient to walk into Oranjestad and to a nearby supermarket and small beach.
There was no hot or even warm water available in the shower, nor any of the sinks. After travelling for 30+ hours this was not the most pleasant surprise. I ended up not properly showering for 3 days after I arrived (and switched to a resort) because the cold water in the shower was so uncomfortable. It was also inconvenient to have to pay for the booking in cash as I had to obtain a large amount of a foreign currency before I left before my trip and carry it with me while travelling. There wasn't a 'standard' check in, just a 'meet you at the property' which felt casual but it brings a certain anxiety when you don't know for certain that someone will be there to check you in (due to travel delays, etc.)

Reviewed Jan 1, 2025Quiet, convenient, modern. I ended up walking here from the airport - took about 40 minutes. Download the Bird scooter app if you want even faster self transfer. I liked how the door was coded entry so I didn't need to have to carry keys.
No hot water in shower, but it seems like most AirBnBs on the island don't have hot water showers. Didn't realize you needed cash to make payment on arrival, but I thought it was a great value property so I didn't mind. I had to go to ATM to get cash.

Didn't like the electronic door lock, which sometimes malfunction. It doesn't happen often, but there were times you hear this strange sound from the door lock. Also I didn't like the fact that there was no inside lock to secure the door in the event of any tapering of the lock from outside.

A huge advantage is that all issues related to accomodation in an unfamiliar country the host helped to solve quickly and clearly. You can rely on such people, they are a rarity these days.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2024Excellent location in the heart of the capital Oranjestad, apt was a good size and comfortable. Close to restaurants, bars, and shopping and a 10 min walk to the beach. There is a 24/7 convenient store at the gas station 7 min walk. Still, it was in a quiet neighborhood.
I would rather tell the owner this personally.
