The staff were amazing, particular mention for Milan who was brilliant helping us with everything from arranging safaris to trips into town and local museums, nothing was too much trouble. And Dipa who always had a radiant smile and warm welcome at meal times. The hotel is in a great location and the food particularly dinner was excellent

I didn’t like anything. The hotel is so basic , but they charge so much. It is worth 20% value I paid . I was so disappointed, rooms are so basic like random hotel.

I like nothing about the hotel except it was in Sauraha. Overpriced, no good breakfast, basic rooms with slow working Ac . VERY DISAPPOINTING. No value for what I paid. In nepal this hotel should have cost rs 2500 / night max looking at its facilities, but they charged more than 8000.

The front desk staff is what made the stay. I had a problem with the room I was given and the gentleman at the front desk showed me several other rooms until we found one that worked, which ended up being an upgrade compared to my reservation and he did not charge me extra as his only concern was to find a room that I was happy with. The upgraded room was spacious and clean and well equipped - there is a big difference between the regular rooms (even superior ones) and the suites. The food I had from the hotel was also very good.

The hotel is fairly close yet a bit removed from the Chitwan national park entrance and main streets in town so you do have to walk 15-20 min if you want to eat anywhere other than the hotel. The rooms that are not suites are not worth 4* but the suites are nice albeit a bit dated. The cleaning products have a very strong abrasive smell so it's not ideal if you are sensitive - but the gentleman from the front desk acknowledged the issue and offered to have the room floors redone with just water to get rid of some of the smell and it helped.

The staff were very welcoming. Couldn’t do enough for you! The garden was stunning and the sounding landscape was so peaceful. Lots of variety for breakfast. We had a safari organised by the hotel which was great. We recently got engaged, and the manager upgraded our room to help us celebrate.

Вдобавок нам помогли с индивидуальным трансфером до Катманду, что сделало поездку максимально комфортной и беззаботной. Огромное спасибо всей команде отеля за такой тёплый приём! Обязательно вернёмся снова и с удовольствием рекомендуем это место всем.

Cleary and without doubt, Hotel Aikawa is the best accommodation option in Sauraha. Milan and the staff at Aikawa Hotel were simply outstanding. They did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They organised two excellent morning safaris for us and we had a great time. Our guide Raj was very knowledgeable and took excellent care of us in the national park where we saw a large amount of wildlife, including 9 rhinos. Simply incredible. The food in the hotel was exceptional and the kitchen staff were very friendly and worked hard to meet our vegan dietary needs. Every meal was fresh and delicious. The hotel arranged for private transportation from Sauraha to the border at Sonauli. Our driver Bibek went above and beyond to take care of us and kept in communication with us to make sure we navigated the border crossing safely. The owner on this hotel should be immensely proud of the staff.

Ottimo soggiorno vicino al parco e alla stazione Bus se si arriva da Kathmandu . Camere belle e spaziose, personale molto collaborativo, pulizia, bella hall ,giardino e piscina. Il ristorante propone piatti per tutti i gusti a prezzi onesti. I tours proposti sono ottimi con guide con ottimo inglese e preparate. Colazione buona. La cittadina è una piacevole sorpresa.

This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at. All staff were very helpful and sweet. Menu options and prices are good Hotel facilities were 4 star and price of hotel was very worth it. A very comfortable hotel away from the busy town so its very quiet. A good location, 15 mins walk away from the town centre. f I visit Chitwan I would love to stay here again.

The bathroom should have a shower cubicle otherwise whole bathroom gets wet.

The hotel is lovely and modern. The location is a 10min walk through the outskirts of town so you get to see away from the high street. The facilities were great with a lovely big garden you could walk and sit in. The garden also had table tennis, badminton, a nice bar and a basic gym. Staff were all lovely and the breakfast buffet had a good hot and cold selection.

The shower can take a while to warm up so if you have an early start, put it straight on before you need it so that it has 5 minutes to warm up and then it’ll be lovely.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Very clean hotel with wonderful staff, great location and facilities. Great jeep safari tour was organised by the tour guide at the hotel.

Nachdem unser Flug von Kathmandu nach Bharatpur in der Luft gecancelt wurde und wir umdrehen mussten, hat Milan, der Hotelmanager, aus Sauhara in Kathmandu einen privaten Transfer organisiert. Als wir dann nach 7 Stunden Fahrt nachts um 11 Uhr ankamen, wurden wir liebevoll begrüßt und vom gesamten Personal 3 Tage lang über Weihnachten liebevoll betreut. Auch gab es ein kleines Weihnachtsbuffet für die paar Touristen, die Weihnachten feiern. Ein Highlight unserer Reise war die Kanutour und am nächsten Tag private Jeep Safari im Chitwan Nationalpark mit dem Hotel eigenen Guide Raj. Diese beiden Touren waren überragend, Raj ein sensationell toller Mensch und großartiger Guide und wir werden diese Tage nie vergessen. Danke Milan, danke Raj und danke an das gesamte Team von Aikawa. Namaste 🙏🏻

Hotel moderne et fonctionnel situé dans la campagne, donc au calme, mais proche des entrées du parc. Le petit déjeuner à base de broduits frais est varié. Le personnel est d’une extrême bienveillance, à l’image de son manager Milan. L’hôtel s’occupe pour toutes réservations, transports, activités dans le parc. Pour toutes ses raisons, nous le recommandons et d’autant plus qu’au point de vue des tarifs, il est trés abordable.

Las habitaciones están súper nuevas y limpias. El trato en el hotel es lo que más destaco, muy agradable todo el servicio. Con gimnasio y piscina para relajarte, y una zona de chill out fuera que también está estupenda.

The hotel Aikawa is a beautiful place in Sauraha. Due to our reception man Milan - thank you very much for everything - all was excellent organized and we got a free shuttle service anytime. He helped us in every moment and made also acitivities real for us. The hotel offers great planed Safaris for fair prices.

Raj organised some great walking, canoe and jeep safaris these where well priced and thoroughly organised - some of the best we have ever had. The hotel staff where very attentive, proactive, friendly and nothing was too difficult. Highly recommended this hotel.

Purtroppo senza un mezzo di trasporto non si raggiunge nessun punto di interesse, ma è stata anche la notte in cui abbiamo avuto più silenzio.

Alles war perfekt, das Personal unfassbar freundlich,absolut sauber,Einrichtung top und modern.Geplegte Gartenanlage mit Pool.Ausflüge und Safari konnte man zu fairen Preisen über das Hotel buchen. Frühstück als Buffett mit reichlich Auswahl.

The staff were brilliant and they were very attentive and helpful. The amenities are excellent, the room was clean and spacious. Great continental breakfast and very good freshly made food from the restaurant. We had a fantastic day with the hotel guide into the Chitawan National park. Highly recommended!

Although it was very quiet, I felt very welcomed and comfortable there. The property was exceptionally well kept. The staff were extremely helpful with all of my questions and treated me like a VIP, which I am generally not used to. The back garden and pool are beautiful and well kept. The food there was incredible.

Everything was great, we loved it. Also. Raj was a great guide in the jungle. Excellent overall hotel experience in every category.

de luxueuze faciliteiten en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Ze kwamen me zelfs ophalen aan het busstation een heel eind van de accomodatie en brachten me achteraf ook weer terug naar een (ander) busstation. Ze regelden ook het busticket voor mij.

Eigenlijk niets. In het begin, toen ik aankwam, dacht ik dat het echt afgelegen was. Maar in realiteit was je met een wandelingetje van nog geen 10 minuten op de plek waar het zich allemaaal afspeelt.

Lage etwas abseits

For a start, my fantastic experience and high expectations with Hotel Aikawa began prior to my trip to Nepal. Milan, the reservations manager and a true legend, was so prompt, reassuring, detailed and friendly in his responses to all my questions before arriving in Chitwan that I knew that I would really enjoy my stay in Hotel Aikawa. I arrived by coach after a horrendously uncomfortable, and bumpy, journey from Kathmandu and was surprised to see Milan welcome me at the bus station. Not many managers would do that! On arrival at the hotel, Milan then surprised me by upgrading me to the best suite in the whole hotel and I was very touched by this gesture. The views of the extensive rice fields from my window were stunning. I immediately decided to extend my stay by one more day as I could not pass up this opportunity of luxury in this beautiful hotel, especially after chaotic and crowded Kathmandu! The huge gardens are absolutely exquisite, and designed in a Japanese style with wooden bridges over a pond with different varieties of fish, beautiful stonework and wicker furniture, outside bar and so many cool areas to chill. All the staff were so friendly and attentive including Bishwo, Rachana, Kausal, Kavita, etc and they could not do enough for me to make me feel special. The food at the hotel is high quality and the chefs kindly catered to my requests for extra chilli and sauce in my chilli chicken which I had on two occasions for dinner. The hotel is within walking distance of the main town but secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Milan, at the front desk, even organised the cancellation of one day at my hotel in Pokhara as I was staying an extra day in Hotel Aikawa, and also booked the bus to Pokhara for me with such ease and efficiency. I cannot thank Milan, and his excellent staff, enough for the most wonderful three nights in Chitwan and wholeheartedly endorse staying at this true gem of a hotel for a luxurious, scenic and relaxing stay!

This is a truly amazing hotel with so much space, beauty, well designed, spotlessly clean, stunning views of rice fields, secluded, attentive and caring staff, first class hospitality and service, and the list goes on. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT I COULD FAULT REGARDING THIS HOTEL and my only genuine regret is that I could not stay longer at Hotel Aikawa!

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, das Personal überaus aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, aus dem Restaurant heraus kann man dem Küchenpersonal dabei zusehen. Mit dem Hotel-Guide haben wir den Nationalpark erkundet und sogar einen Tiger gesehen. Von allen Hotels, in denen wir auf unserer Nepalreise gewohnt haben, ist das Hotel Aikawa für uns unangefochten auf Platz 1!

Our stay at the Hotel Aikawa was amazing. The spacious rooms were spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing, staff helpful especially Mr Milan who went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Mr Malin organized our safari tour which was spectacular, the village tour which is a must, especially the museum which was very interesting and the culture program in town, which was fun. Set in a peaceful location Hotel Aikawa is an easy 12 minute stroll into town. Absolutely 5 stars. Thanks Mr Milan and the team for everything.

Such a great stay at the Aikawa, from the moment we arrived at the bus park we were met by lovely hotel staff offering us a free transfer to the hotel, to the moment they dropped us off again they could not do enough for us to ensure we had a pleasant staff. Food was also excellent and the safari with Raj, all organized and booked through the hotel left us with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommend

The staff could not do enough for us. From the moment we booked, everything was taken care of. Whilst the hotel might not have the most modern/state-of-the-art furnishings, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We had not planned our activities but Raj sorted everything and the costs were comparatively very good.

Honestly.. there was nothing given the money we paid.

L'ensemble de l'équipe est absolument adorable et fait preuve d’un professionnalisme exemplaire. Le restaurant propose une carte variée, et chaque plat dégusté fut un régal : la cuisine est savoureuse et raffinée. Le service en salle, tout comme l’équipe en cuisine, est irréprochable : souriants, disponibles et toujours aux petits soins. La piscine, nichée au cœur d’un vaste et magnifique jardin, est un véritable havre de paix. Quant au spa, la masseuse est d’une grande compétence et offre un moment de détente incomparable. L’hôtel propose également des excursions inoubliables : j’ai eu la chance de faire un safari en Jeep, une sortie en forêt et une balade en canoë, le tout accompagné par Raj, le guide de l’hôtel. Passionné par son métier, amoureux de la nature et des animaux, il transmet son enthousiasme avec générosité. Son équipe est tout aussi remarquable. J'étais tellement bien dans cet jôtel que j'ai prolongé mon séjour. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe de l’Hôtel Aikawa, qui a tout mis en œuvre pour rendre mon séjour absolument inoubliable. J’ai eu beaucoup de mal à partir… et j’ai déjà hâte d'y séjourner à nouveau!

Heel vriendelijk personeel die alles voor je willen doen. We hebben een fantastische safari gemaakt dankzij de gids van het hotel.

Het is een prima hotel maar wat verouderd. Het ligt ook niet bij de hoofdstraat (20 minuten lopen) waardoor je ofwel moet lopen om elders te eten of afhankelijk bent van vervoer.

Le personnel était très prévenant, aux petits soins.

Staff was super friendly and good at their job, did what they could to make us comfortable! The restaurant serves excellent meals, breakfast is top. Crew, Dika for example, does a great job there. Everywhere you go in the lobby, at the pool or in the restaurant, they’ll bring you a nice bottle of filtered water! Often they served something extra, such as nice bruschetta with a drink at the pool! Or a peanut salad as an appetiser. Great! Special note for the jungle guide Rajendra Chauchary and colleagues: super experience with the jungle walk, canoo tour and jeep ride, spotted so many birds, deer and rhinos… Very knowledgeable, affordable and friendly. We can really recommend him and his colleague!

Just a suggestion to create some more shade at and in the pool. Just some large plants around the pool for example.

Ci è piaciuto tutto. L'hotel è ottimo, bello e ben organizzato. Tutti molto gentili e professionali. Al ristorante si mangia davvero bene. Nell'hotel è presente una guida senior del parco nazionale, il sig. Rajendra Chaudhary, che ci ha accompagnati nell' escursione in jeep e in quella a piedi in modo molto professionale e ci ha trasmesso la sua passione x tutti gli animali e le piante del parco. È davvero preparato, sa anche i nomi latini delle piante. Incontrare da vicino i Rinoceronti è stata una grande emozione.

This hotel is excellent! I was greeted with a welcome drink, cookies, and a room upgrade upon my arrival. The room was fantastic, super clean, and very spacious. The staff was superb. They were super friendly, helpful, and always smiling and saying hello. The location was excellent and within walking distance of a lot of the major sites. I highly recommend this hotel!

Amisha and Sharmila from the reception did an outstanding job in terms if friendliness and professionalism. The hotel can be proud to have such a strong team taking care of its guests.

A location closer to the water would be nice

We spent a day relaxing in this hotel. The room is comfortable and clean, the shower is really good. The garden is beautiful, the pool is great and the food in the restaurant is tasty.

Excellent hotel. Staff was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious! We are there twice a day and everything we had was amazing. The service was impeccable. Rooms were comfortable and clean. They had a tour desk in the hotel, where you could book activities. We didn’t get to use the garden much because it the weather while we were there, but it looked gorgeous.

The quality of the construction work on the building is letting them down a bit. It looks a bit badly done a few places.

The hotel was amazing! Had everything you need and was super clean. Super modern with a brand new beautiful garden and a nice pool! The service was absolute incredible. Everybody was extremely friendly and helping with literally everything. You tell them your wish and they male it possible. They also helped with booking the bus and the safari. The jeep safari was also wonderful. Our guide has such a huge knowledge about every animal in the naturepark. It was just fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel!!!!

The only thing the hotel could improve on were their pillows. They were super stiff!
