Reviewed Aug 21, 2025Wow, wat een heerlijk appartement. Mooi en modern ingericht. We voelden ons er direct thuis. Een heerlijke tuin om in te zitten. Genoeg meubilair en wat planten. Kees is een fantastische gastheer. Vriendelijk, behulpzaam.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Het is een heerlijk huisje, mooi en gezellig ingericht. Echt aan alles is gedacht zoals onder andere een flesje wijn als welkom. De ligging is super in de natuur en toch op loopafstand van het centrum van Deventer. Ook de eigenaren zijn zeer hartelijk en gastvrij.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2025The Apartment was fantastic ! It was like a complete house !! very well furbished, super clean and well equiped. The king size bed was very good and we had a good night's sleep. The complete Apartment was just very good !! we discovered even some spices for cooking in the kitchen and coffee machine with lots of bullets and traditional spicy Dutch cookies. On on departure the owner gave us a packet of the famous Dutch wafels and more !!! What a nice stay we have ! and wonderful people they are !!

Reviewed Apr 24, 2025Kees is a marvelous host. He met us when we arrived to hand over the keys and take us on a tour of our accommodation. He allowed us to check in a bit early and also gave us a late check-out time. The African Tree is located on a small rural road in an area close to the river but just minutes from Deventer. The spacious and comfortable apartment is completely furnished with everything and anything you might need for a short or a long stay. There is also a lovely private patio area out back. The apartment has both heat and AC. We especially appreciated all the little homey touches Kees provided, including a bottle of wine, some snacks, and milk and sparkling water in the fridge. If we ever return to this area, we would not hesitate to stay at the African Tree again.
All was good and even better than expected.
