밤에 별이 잘 보일 줄 알고 예약한건데 숙박한 날이 좀 흐려서 별을 볼 수가 없어서 못 본게 너무 아쉬워요. 뜨거운 물도 중간에 끊겨서 못 써서 아쉽고요.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026The room was exceptionally clean and fully equipped with everything we needed, including laundry facilities and cooking equipment. The heating was excellent, keeping us warm throughout the night. Although it is a little far from town, the location is perfect for photographing the Milky Way and starry sky.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026Sparkling, clean and cozy place with heaters and an air conditioner! Our family of four was very comfortable. We got to do some Astrophotography from the house at night, and the Milky Way was unbelievable! Dane was very responsive and helpful with local recommendations. Would definitely come back!

Заселение прошло отлично, инструкция была выслана своевременно и мы получили отдельное сообщение,что домик готов к заселению. Внутри есть всё что нужно, включая дорогостоящую кухонную технику. Среди прочего можно почитать книги авторства хозяина.

Reviewed Dec 19, 2025清潔感があり、どの窓ガラスもとても大きいのでニュージーランドの自然を家の中からでも感じることができ、野ウサギが駆けているのが見えた。本物の暖炉があったのでシーズンによっては使って楽しむことが出来るだろう。
到着したらキッチンの床が水浸しになっていた。恐らく食洗機からの水漏れが原因で床を拭かなければキッチンは使用出来なかった。

Reviewed Dec 4, 2025It was a nice place properly equipped with pretty much everything. It had many windows allowing in lots of light into each room with views of a somewhat barren natural landscape that we liked. We had a day of bad weather and it was a really nice home to stay indoors. We were very happy. To our unexpected delight it included a coffee grinder, an espresso maker and a sufficient quantity of decent coffee beans for 4 mornings there. And it has a Netflix subscription for all guests to use.
It only had one bathroom which was fine for my wife and I but would be less so had we been traveling with another couple.

Reviewed Nov 18, 2025The entire room was impeccably clean and spotless. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The host was the best I've ever had. I loved this place so much and highly recommend it to all travelers; it's a great place to use as a stopover in Mount Cook. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

Reviewed Jul 2, 2025Location was incredible, we loved the peace, solitude, outlook, stars and barely any neighbours. The property felt quite new, modern and tastefully designed and decorated. The bedroom set up was great for our family. The host had excellent communication and speedy responses.
There were a few minor details that could easily be improved to make this an excellent stay.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2025We chose this house on purpose for its remote location (about 15-20 min drive from town/food) and in the hopes to see the dark sky and stars. Unfortunately it was a cloudy night and few days. Oh well. Bad luck. We couldn’t even see the mountains bc of low fog during our stay. However, it is nicely appointed inside and quite comfortable. Heating kept us warm and the kitchen had several amenities and basics stocked if someone wanted to cook. Liked the nice pottery mugs. Espresso machine and beans provided made excellent coffee. Shower was very hot and nice. Beds were comfortable and medium firm. Living room was relaxing and simply and elegantly decorated. Would try again in warmer climate to try to see the night sky. The fog gave off an eerie glow in the moonlight that was also cool to see. People should know that the driveway and approaching road are gravely, also there are full dark window blinds, though they aren’t visible in the pics online. Great short stay overall!

Reviewed May 9, 2025Love the location of the house. It was so peaceful waking up to the sunrise just by staring out from the living room. The mountain right outside the house was amazing. We saw the galaxy just right above us outside the house. It was so amazing. We took so many photos. We had fun talk sitting in front of the fireplace. The beds, sofa and rooms were so comfortable and beautiful. We were wishing we had stayed 2 nights instead of 1. And we all agreed that this stay was the number 1 stay throughout our 2 weeks trip in south island. The host was very friendly and checked up on us if we checked in alright. Thank you for the beautiful memories.

Whilst it was only my husband and I, could easily host a family or small group of friends. Would 100% recommend.
