Handy location
Wanted a warm breakfast
Breakfast was reasonable,
Beds were very uncomfortable, extremely thin mattress. Tv didn't work and the bedroom door didn't lock. The surrounding area did not feel very safe. The host greeted us in his sock soles. When we contacted them at 9:30 pm about being unable to lock the bedroom door we were told " Me da's in bed and we can't do anything until the morning ".
Really good continental breakfast
Some of the rooms were a bit tired
Location was amazing- directly across from the marina. Also very close to the High Street and local amenities. Seaside walks were perfect. Very friendly and hospitable host.
Some finishings could have been to a better standard but overall good
Welcoming and friendly
Nothing to dislike
Very comfortable, friendly quiet & with a very good breakfast. Made more convenient by means of a good elevator.
Brilliant stay ,,
Nothing to not like
Perfect for a weekend getaway.
Not applicable.
Been there longer
Great location. Host very helpful and welcoming.
Shame a cooked breakfast isn’t available.
Close to town. Very lovely view over the horbour and out 2 c. That's from front of house.
Needs a few things fixed and rooms up greaded rather than that great value.
The location and views were brilliant
There was nothing i didnt like everything was lovely
It was convenient for visiting the area and the views were great out to sea. When development of the marine gardens is completed it will certainly add to the area.
Overlooking a building site and the bathroom needs work
Quite and easy check in and check out. Friendly staff.
Nill
Handy located , parking , walking distance to town, comfortable bed .
The only 2 things was the tank / sisten made a very loud noise almost like someone was drilling a hole in the wall once you flushed the toilet and it would waken someone staying in the next room and also for the price a cooked breakfast would have been appreciated other than the standard Continental breakfast which we still Enjoyed .

It was in a great location, right beside the marina, the staff seemed pleasant and the room was clean.
The property could do with an upgrade, the floor in the room was incredibly creaky, paint was peeling off the walls and ceiling in places, the walls are paper thin and we could hear the people in the room next door very clearly so no privacy at all, the breakfast was very basic, no cooked items, very disappointing.
I liked the friendly greeting and service. Rooms were fine, very clean and comfortable
I didn't like the continental breakfast. It was not made clear that it was continental and I would definitely not have booked had I known. It is a poor substitute for a real cooked breakfast that lots of hotels are now seeing as an alternative unfortunately. However this should be made clear somewhere before booking so I can make an informed decision as to whether to book.
Lovely location clean and cosy
Everything
The mattress
Central location clean interior and friendly owners
We had booked twin room however while room was spacious the beds were small and very low
Very pleasant host
Location suited us.
Room was very small. Bathroom door had to be persuaded to close. Washbasin VERY slow to empty. Noise from other guests moving around and lift was intrusive.
Great location, lovely building, nice rooms and space.
We really didn't find the bed or pillows comfy at all. We're not particularly fussy people but woke up feeling quite stiff both days. Also could have been a little cleaner in places.
I had room with lovely view
Everything, clean, accommodation, continental breakfast, plenty choice, helpful staff

Ok but basic, but was close to town Center
Room was at back of property and very basic and small, small window looking unto flat roofed other houses. Breakfast was a cold selection and had expected an Irish cooked full one.
Great location, central to bars, restaurants and the harbour.
The breakfast wasn’t great. Very basic.
Great location and the owner was a delight!
Nothing as it was fab
Nous avons été très bien accueilli par notre hôte.
Nice position for visiting the area, Staff good and helpful
Very friendly and helpful even got a hug which was lovely
The manager was exceptionally good. Very helpful. Central for everywhere we needed to go.
The long walk up from the road. Not good for older travellers.
The location beautiful and the front rooms excellent. Lovely big room with sofa and table n chairs. Clean and fresh
The floors in room in need of repair and bathroom needs upgraded but I believe there is a plan to do this soon.
Comfortable and owner was a great guy
Location was fantastic..rooms were spotless...staff friendly and very accommodating... couldn't fault it..A
Lovely B&B in a great location with a great sea view Bangor was a great location for exploring the North and east of Northern Ireland and for visiting family Hosts were excellent continental breakfast was great
Unfortunately the seafront was being redeveloped but was nothing to do with the B&B the sea view was unaffected
Quiet , beautiful position, friendly and professional staff.
Great position in city, view on harbour...clean cozy room.
Everything perfect 💯
The location was wonderful and Steve from the Lodge was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Lack of parking. We got lucky, but quite easily might not have done.
Clean, safe and excellent location. Good old fashioned B&B. Value for money. Warm welcome.
There was no cooked breakfast available.
The bed.
We really enjoyed the decking area, very clean everything handy. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend 100%
The location and view were incredible. Facing the harbor from the fourth floor was just wonderful. It was great to deal with a real person. We were very pleased that they were able to accommodate breakfast with us leaving early. The room was perfectly quiet. We loved having a bathtub and there was a lot of thought put into safety in the bathroom.
Can’t think of anything
The vocation and everything relating to the hotel. The welcome I received together with the information given by the Staff Member to ensure my stay would be comfortable.
N/A Every aspect of the hotel met my needs.
Spotlessly clean. Room was very quiet.
Reception was set in the middle of the ground floor and difficult to find, and no staff available when I arrived - just a back in 20 minutes notice. Shower was not hot. Buffet breakfast was a little on the light side.
Beautiful views, really comfy beds and great host Stephen, great breakfast
The location was perfect for our needs and it is ideally sited to look over Bangor harbour and the pickie arena.
A few tiny snags with the locks on the en suite door - but far outweighed by the helpful owner and staff.
Staff were kind and very helpful. Steven went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The Lodge was lovely and had a beautiful outdoor space, at the front of the property.
We booked two rooms, the same room type but our rooms were completely different sizes. No air conditioning or fridge in room.
Everything excellent would definitely stay again👍
Nothing
Great room, great location, great breakfast and great staff very welcoming . Great stay overall.
Nothing had a great stay.
The view from the front door
First room was terrible, old dated furniture with handles that came off when pulled, dull with one double socket on the wall at the window, I complained to the owner and we were given a second room which was slightly better, was told no other rooms were available, no pillow protectors, and seen pillows being used to hold the doors open, bathroom in first room not cleaned properly, previous persons toiletries still there, beds in both rooms really uncomfortable, only the bed and a small vanity stool to sit on in both rooms, one of the tea cups was dirty and all scraped inside,we were there for 6 nights we could have been given a bigger room with seats to sit on, please take the this as constructive criticism with room to improve,
The location and location are excellent, it's very good.
The only thing I would write is that I personally found the room small.
Good location with parking, overlooking the Marina
Self aervice buffet with Good variation
Good sized room with chairs for sitting and looking out over the harbor. Some rooms had no view and overlooked back sides of buildings so worth reading room descriptions closely. Nice outdoor sitting areas facing the harbor for when it wasn’t raining. Five min plus walk to some restaurants and a good sized store. Good continental breakfast typical options and wonderful fresh fruit salad.
It was so clean staff where amazing, beds & room where excellent.
nothing
Steve was an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful, he also recommended a good place to have our evening meal, which was just as he suggested. The view from the bedroom of Bangor harbour was brilliant and breakfast was plentiful and varied. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.
There was nothing to report on this score.
Steven was very helpful and a very good host. A lovely stay. I will be going back for a revisit.
The location was good . There was parking outside the house also it was in a quiet area.
It’s tired and needs general maintenance When we arrived there was no toilet paper in the bathroom When I returned to use the toilet I then noticed it hadn’t been cleaned from Pervious guest. The beds were not comfortable.I didn’t get chance to inform the host as every time I saw him there were other guests around. The breakfast is basic and the quality of the food is average. I would only give it a 3 star rating
Had a lovely stay at Astala Lodge. My room was comfortable and spotless. The owner was pleasant and helpful... 5 stars
Stephen, his Dad and the cleaner were exceptional hosts . Beautiful continental breakfast and view was out standing . Lovely area outside to sit . Location was perfect for the town and coastal walks . Lovely lounge and bar area. Immaculate . The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special .
The mattresses are on the thinner side but the toppers really helped.
Nice landlord, clean room
Everything was ok. Breakfast could be nicer
This has got to be one of the best views in Bangor. Great hotel very close to town .
Overlooking the marina .easy check in .host friendly .showed us breakfast room and lounge area . Breakfast was help yourself continental .very good choice and well laid out . Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, bread cheese meat . Tea and coffee in the room .toiletries in the bathroom .room was lovely. Outside seating if required .wifi and breakfast info plus checkout time in the room . Lift to all floors . Room clean .
We only had one night .
The location was great ,
Finding a parking space could be difficult.
Great location, great staff very helpful and great breakfast i would stay again.
Nicely outside of the city and by the harbour. Short walk to decent pub food etc although major works going on at the harbour side spoils what is otherwise wise a lovely location.
Mould in bathroom, water marks on ceiling in room 3. Just tired looking. Very basic. Needs more sockets, not just extension leads. Kettle needs to be removable from the lead to ease re filling.
Lovely room overlooking the Bangor harbour.
All good maybe some fresh bananas with the continental breakfast
Breakfast. Use of lounge.
Small rooms. We should have booked better rooms. Bar not open.
Manager on site was nice and professional. Great location.
Room was small. Taps were dripping. Place needed some TLC.
Beautiful older style B&B overlooking the harbour. We had the top floor room with views over the water. Great alternative to staying in Belfast and only 20 minutes away. Easy parking and good breakfast.
Nothing really
Rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast was really good, location was excellent..
Nothing...
It was great value .The breakfast was very good .Steve ,our host ,was lovely .
I would book a front room next time with a view .
A great location opposite the marina. The room was very pleasant and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good selection. There are outside seating areas.
Perfect location, with just a short walk to some excellent bars/restaurants, and beautiful harbour/sea view from our room. Lovely continental breakfast and staff couldn't be more helpful. Was my second stay and will definitely be back 🙂
My only complaint was the mattress..was a bit lumpy and bumpy in parts and a little uncomfortable. Apart from that 10/10!
Close to amenities, very friendly host, very clean.
Nothing everything was excellent
The hotel is very well situated, and clean and comfortable, the staff was excellent, and couldn't do enough for you! Steven the night staff was absolutely amazing. We have every intention to stay next year as it was perfect
We had a charming, spacious, high-ceilinged, and bright room with a sea view, while also being close to the shoreline. Steven was an excellent host. I enjoyed my stay very much, and the next time I visit Bangor, I will definitely stay there again.
My favourite part was Steven. What a lovely and welcoming host! My husband and I enjoyed a good chat with him as did the couple who we were with. We loved the rooms they were lovely and walking distance to the 40th Birthday party we were attending. I will definitely be back!
Nothing really to dislike about it. Beautiful views and lovely rooms.
The staff checked in earlier than what I expected . They tried to do their best . They were friendly.
No view of thye room. Poor breakfast. The water pressure in the bathroom was low.
We had a top floor room with seaview. There is a small lounge area downstairs which we used and appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location. The rooms were tired and in need to redecoration.
The room had a damp smell if windows weren’t left open. Ceiling had evidence of leak from above.
The location was amazing and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
Nothing.
Very friendly staff, nothing was a bother them. Will definitely be back. X
Handy location
Room was a little bit small
It was clean and had a view of the harbor.
It was in a very derelict area of the town, lots of boarded up buildings.
The location was beautiful The manager was lovely, friendly and incredibly helpful

Steve was very welcoming and explained everything when we arrived, the property was very nice and in a great location. We had a room on the 4th floor with fabulous sea views. The building also has a lift for the higher floors. Breakfast had lots of choice, cereals, different breads/ jams etc for toast, yoghurts, fruits, pastries. We felt very comfortable and at home. Everything was very clean! It was quiet overnight, no disturbances as you may expect from an older building. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing! Except maybe the weather - but that's hardly anyone's fault! We were just unlucky.
Host is extremely friendly. Beautiful location, rooms clean

GROSSE FUITE D EAU A L UTILISATION DE LA DOUCHE
Location, friendly staff. A good base, to see surrounding area, or Belfast via rail or bus oprions.
We loved the location overlooking the marina with a beautiful sea view from our windows. We loved the spacious room with a sofa and seating area. The owner Stephen was delightful friendly and helpful. The bathroom was good. The breakfast was great, beautiful fresh fruit and cereals, toast, pastries and spreads.
