Reviewed Sep 18, 2026This is our second visit and we planned a leg of our motorcycle tour around staying here ! The chalet is located in an incredibly beautiful place with great views all around. Rooms are comfortable, rustic and charming. The restaurant does good hearty food and has plenty of cold beer! The owners are really lovely and helpful, with lots of interesting stories about the area. Huge, clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water! A large parking area at the front has plenty if space for vehicles.
Be aware that the road leading to it is a narrow, winding, mounrain road. A lot of fun on a motorcycle, but maybe not for nervous car drivers! Take it slow and respect local drivers.

Le repas de chasse, entrecôte de chevreuil et ses accompagnements était délicieux ainsi que le petit-déjeuner. On a retrouvé les saveurs d'une cuisine familiale avec de bons produits de base.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026We booked this place and had a really wonderful experience. We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was beautiful and also offered very good value for money. The staff were actually the owners themselves, and they were extremely kind and helpful. They treated us very well and gave us excellent support throughout our stay. We arrived quite late on the first night, but despite that, they got up at around midnight to welcome us personally and show us our room. The place was lovely, although it was a little away from the main road and located up in the mountains. While we were driving there, I was actually a little worried because I didn’t know what to expect. But when we saw the place during the day, we realized how beautiful the surroundings were. It was surrounded by mountains and had absolutely stunning views. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. It was a beautiful location, the hosts were wonderful, and we were very happy with our experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026A breathtaking location, among the mountains amidst nature and quiet. There are not many people around. You can go on long walks and hikes which are all over. The hosts Helène and Julia were esp nice and they helped us organize a surprise birthday party of a family member. They made our stay really memorable. The food was really delicious made from local produce from the farm. We miss being there already. We will go back soon again.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Krásne prostredie, pokojná lokalita. Všade iba ticho a kravské zvony. Priateľský personál, osobitne chválime personál hovoriaci poľsky. Podávané raňajky boli skvelou prehliadkou miestnych chutí, akurát chýbalo k tomu trochu zeleniny.
Cesta od križovatky hore (vlastne aj dole) iba pre vodičov so zmyslom pre dobrodružstvo a istou dávkou predvídateľnosti, vždy to bola lotéria, či budem/nebudem musieť prudko brzdiť alebo nebodaj cúvať. Za daždivého počasia obzvlášť.

La chambre était très propre, ma fille a adoré l’espace séparé sous le toit pour dormir pour les enfants dans la chambre familiale. Accueil agréable et charmant endroit au calme. Petit déjeuner parfait, avec de très bon produits faits maison. Sa proximité avec Engstlenalp permet de faire de magnifiques randonnées .

Les chambres sont horribles, très vétustes. La literie d’un autre temps. Pas de draps pour les enfants. Et l’odeur !!! Mais l’odeur !!! Horrible Les chambres sont à l’étage avec un sanitaire partagé Les douches sont dans les toilettes du rdc où tous les visiteurs peuvent aller. Les serviettes ont au moins 10 ans! L’accueil n’était pas des plus agréables non plus…

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026The location was absolutely brilliant and it was great to wake up to an amazing view. Helen and the girl (I forgot her name) who served the breakfast and lunch were really nice.
There's a small children's playground just outside the outdoor cabin where we stayed, and although it's supposed to not be accessible when guests are at the cabin (or so we thought), we were woken up by 2 children and their dad at 8.30am right next to the cabin. Considering the reduced privacy of sleeping outside in a téléférique cabin (which we were expecting), we thought we would have the "back garden" to ourselves to at least be able to get dressed and packed without someone using the space. It felt a bit intrusive, and even though it wasn't a deal breaker, it was uncomfortable to try to get dressed while other people are in your "outdoor room". Lastly, I would say that even though the area is very beautiful, I felt the cost was too high for 1 night. Realistically you can stay locally in a tent, or other rooms and still appreciate the morning view and the night sky without having to pay such a high price to sleep in a cabin and share bathrooms.

Die Junior Suite ist eine Abzocke - eine Frechheit. Diese ist eine ausrangierte Titlis Kabine auf der Wiese - für das Bett. Den Rest der Suite wie Toilette, Dusche, ... ist im Haupthaus.

Very clean hotel with fresh air and delicious food. Local very yummy cheese and other products are also available to buy. The kids can play in the hotel's playground and 3 minutes away by foot can build pebble bridge, etc. on the brook or build stick forest house. There is so much to do in and around this hotel. We would like to return in the future.

Hay 2 baños completos y un aseo compartido. Como el hotel es pequeño resulta suficiente y están limpios. Los últimos 5 kilómetros hasta el hotel se hacen por una carretera de montaña muy estrecha, lo bueno es que no está muy transitada.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Das Personal, das Essen und die Aussicht sind top ! Sogar ein später check in war kein Hindernis noch eine warme Mahlzeit zu erhalten. Auch das Frühstück ist Bombe. Die Betreiber sind sehr herzlich. Man ist mehr als nur Gast ! Wir waren bereits das dritte mal dort, jeweils nur für eine Übernachtung, um dann mit dem Motorrad weiter zu reisen. Gerade auch im Sommer ist die Höhenlage (1212m) genau um die richtigen Grade kühler als im Tal.
Die Schlafräume sind sehr einfach, aber es ist Alles sehr sauber. Das war uns vor Bestellung aber auch bewusst. Für uns hat`s immer gepaßt.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Pobyt v Panorama Hotel Wagenkehr předčil naše očekávání. Ubytování bylo velmi příjemné, pokoj čistý, útulný. Okolní příroda je naprosto dechberoucí. Lokalita je ideální pro milovníky klidu a hor. Zvláštní pochvalu si zaslouží personál – byl neuvěřitelně milý, vstřícný a vždy ochotný. Snídaně byly vynikající, bohaté a z kvalitních surovin. Určitě se rádi vrátíme!
Nic, co by se dalo změnit - na příjezdové úzké cestě k hotelu musí být řidič velmi opatrný a některé úseky jsou nepřehledné a nebezpečné.

Reviewed Oct 3, 2025A truly wonderful stay in an exceptional setting. A traditional "chalet-style" building with a restaurant at the front and rooms behind. The family room was spacious, comfortable and welcoming and the bathrooms are all clean and well-equipped. The place has a very homely feel and the owners are charming, kind and very welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with local ingredients, and a superb breakfast too! We wished we could have stayed longer on our motorcycle tour. The view from the terrasse was delightful, with views of the mountains and forest. We enjoyed our dinner with the sound of the cow bells as the cattle returned to pasture.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025Hotel super caratteristico a 1800 m di altitudine, con tanto di caprette vicino. Colazione fantastica con uova, yogurt, formaggi, affettati, una bibita calda e altro. Si può anche cenare lì, hanno degli ottimi piatti fatti in casa. La cucina chiude alle 20. Bagno condiviso pulito e con tutto il necessario. Anche la camera è caratteristica e confortevole. Noi ci abbiamo dormito in 3 con nostra figlia di 3 anni nel letto a castello (2 letti singoli + 1 letto a castello). I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili, quando ti svegli la mattina puoi ammirare un panorama bellissimo. Super consigliato.

Колорит местности, вокруг Потрясающие горы! Параллельно отдыхали байкеры. Это тоже изюминка! А какой завтрак!!! Вкуснейший!!! Всем рекомендую, вы не пожалеете! но... будьте готовы к неожиданностям )))

Reviewed Jul 23, 2025Přijeli jsme na místo na konci světa, kde jsme chvíli stáli venku a přemýšleli, kam nás v této chaloupce asi chtějí ubytovat. Nakonec jsme byli velice překvapeni, jak útulné pokoje v podkroví jsou. Personál byl velmi milý, všude čisto a působilo to na nás, že jsme přijeli k babičce na chalupu. V noci byla úplná tma a ticho. Podobná byla i snídaně. Bylo to zde jako balzám na duši.
Společné toalety, ale i to bylo nakonec bez problémů, byly čisté a prostorné.

The property is in a stunning location, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, alpine hills, and the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall and river just wow. The secluded atmosphere was one of my favorite parts. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade cheeses and cold cuts from their own produce. We even wanted to extend our stay on the way back from our trip, but unfortunately, the rooms were fully booked. We’re already planning to return next year. Although the bathrooms are shared, they are exceptionally clean and conveniently located near the rooms. The beds are comfortable, and the pillows are soft and cozy—perfect for a restful night’s sleep.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2025Non bisogna pretendere i comfort di un Hotel...detto questo è molto spartano ed essenziale, bagno in comune ma non manca nulla darei 100 punti in più per la mancanza della TV scelta davvero azzeccata per vivere un'esperienza unica immersi nella natura delle alpi svizzere. Il posto è molto isolato e fuori mano per questo motivo splendido. Sarà stata la compagnia di amici (eravamo tutti in moto) o altro ma è stata un'esperienza favolosa direi d'altri tempi. Aggiungo che il padrone di casa è stato molto accogliente e simpatico e parla qualche parola di Italiano.
La colazione per noi italiani deve essere sprattutto dolce ma quello che ti mettono in tavola sono prodotti genuini.
