Whilst the property was functional, it wasn't cosy or homely, and calling it Harbour View is arguably a stretch. The single beds weren't particularly comfortable, and the bedside lights needed new batteries.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Everything was excellent. We arrived to a spotless house which was so well equipped for 3 adults and 2 children. Host was very easy contact. Key was in a llock box. Neighbours were proud galway supporters!!! And such lovely people. From start to finish a wonderful house to sta in. Thank you.

The house has everything you might need: clean towels, bedding, and all the small everyday essentials. The neighbours are friendly, and the area is quiet and peaceful.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Close, walking distance to everything, though the last part is a hill. The dryer, first we had while traveling in Ireland was the BEST! Very convenient, since we had multiple rainy days!
The TV was having problems, but we were able to make our prime acct. work so we still watched a movie.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Very clean and well-equipped. A few minutes' walk into town via a footpath (but it is steep!) Close to a grassy area with wild rabbits, which we loved. Wine and treats on arrival. Harbour and dining/coffee/drinks only minutes away on foot.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2025The house was not a lot to look at from the outside - a terraced house in a residential area - but inside it was very well decorated and furnished. It was comfortable, light and spacious. Although "harbour view" might be pushing it a bit, you could see some of the water but more of the surrounding rolling hills. The location was a steep but fairly short walk into the centre of Killybegs, a charming and friendly fishing port. Popping into the town in the morning to the bakery was a particular pleasure with everyone you passed saying "hello" at the very least. The bars and restaurants were equally friendly and pleasant. It was a great base to explore the area from.
The only (tiny) grumble was the hot water pressure upstairs. It was ok in the kitchen but I had to take a kettle upstairs to have a shave.

The hill back to the house was difficult, but I have arthritis in my hips so wasn’t manageable for me. In saying that my husband found it tough to. Just had to drive which was grand.
