Reviewed Jun 21, 2026The owner, Robyn, is such a friendly, warm and kind person. I was sick with flu and she went out of her way to give me Med-Lemon and some apples. Very friendly and definitely a generous soul. Beautiful Koi fishes and some great herbs in the garden. Nothing flamboyant, just the feeling of home and that's a HUGE plus. It makes you feel welcome 😊 Will definitely book at LNR Brackenfell Homestay again 😃

We stayed at this accommodation last night, but unfortunately the experience was far below what we expected. We had a booking for two nights, but we left early this morning because the room was simply not acceptable. The room was extremely hot, and the fan barely worked – it only blew warm air. It was also very noisy: there is a busy road right next to the property, and trucks passed by the whole night. It felt as if they were driving into the room. On top of that, the shared bathroom caused constant noise throughout the night, with doors slamming and people using the toilet. Most of this noise came from the owner and a fixed tenant moving around. We hardly slept at all. Additionally, we both woke up with small bites on our arms and legs, which makes us believe there may be bedbugs as well. We now understand why they have a policy that requires a minimum stay of two nights, nobody would ever do so if not… Anyway, we feel that Booking should take their responsibility and remove this accommodation from their platform to save other travellers from this kind of experiences…

Nice, big room and access to the kitchen where I could make a nice Sunday lunch. Very clean place. Nice, quiet location and easy to find. The bed slept really well. Everything was great. Definitely well worth the price. Will go again!
