Reviewed Aug 24, 2026La stanza è molto curata, non manca nulla e tutto è perfettamente funzionante! La veranda sarà il luogo in cui passerete più tempo, affaccia sul verde del meraviglioso giardino tropicale. Ogni pasto viene servito e preparato a mano, ogni ingrediente è prodotto da loro e cucinato come di tradizione.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026the room is very spacious, surrounding also nice. the host, madawee is very attentive & helpfull. she also suggested me places to go, including kandalama lake.very near to the house. cooking good food. i ate kottu for dinner & have free breakfast. i like the milk tea & pumpkin curry the most. wish to come again next time

Lots of mosquitos, and the room was a bit damp, and appeared raw / unfinished.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025Coming to Emma is an extraordinary experience! We felt like we had come home. The privacy, the silence and the wonderful courtyard were all we needed. The woman there takes care of all the needs. From food to driver in the middle of the night. The area of Kandalma Lake is beautiful. We will definitely come back to her!

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025This was fantastic, the room was huge and pretty, probably the nicest rooms I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka this summer. The lady was a sweetheart, she has the cutest som ever and she reallt goes out if her way to make you feel comfortable. The garden is beautiful and quite:)

Reviewed Mar 29, 2025We spent two wonderful days at Ema's. Madawee and her family are the warmest, most helpful and welcoming people! The location is great if you have a scooter or a car (since placed in the beautiful, quiet and peaceful countryside) and want to explore the area: Dambulla Rock Temple and Sigiriya are closed by. Every wish we had was happily fulfilled. We felt very welcome, and when we left after only two days it was like saying goodbye to family. Thank you so much for everything!
