Reviewed Mar 2, 2026The apartment is a very close walk to the beach, only a block away. The space in the apartment is very big and comfortable. We were supplied with everything we needed during the stay. The apartment was very clean and felt safe. I like that the car could be locked securely in a garage during the stay. I would definitely stay again of we go to Cape Town again.

Would like to recommend this place for people travelling abroad as well as for south Africans looking for a genuine getaway. Definitely going back to this little gem!!!

Reviewed Jan 13, 2025I loved everything about the accommodation. It really felt like our second home. My children were so comfortable from the moment we stepped inside the house. I loved the facilities they have. You have everything you need right there. All you need is yourself and your luggage bag, outstanding setup for a self catering. I really enjoyed using your appliances to cook my family home cooked meals as they love them. When you are at this place you will never miss home cause it really feels homely just taking a few steps you are on the beach. The location is perfect also as it is at the centre of everything you think you might need. I was also surprised that there is a hospital nearby in case of emergency. This is the best self- catering accommodation I have ever been to. I definitely recommend it, the beach is also lovely too.

Reviewed Jan 17, 2024The ambience (the setup and facilities gently bring out the complete holiday mood) is top shelf. There is everything one could ever need, including some beach towels and umbrella (how thoughtful). It's practically a few minutes' walk to the beach. It's a quiet and serene environment, great for working indoors or reading, and still you get Netflix for entertainment. It's home away from home. You never want to leave.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2024I love everything about this place, from it being secluded to having the nitty gritty s at your disposal. With this I mean there was an outside & inside fireplace, braai grid, firewood, charcoal, firelighters, enough towels, blankets, jugs for use and the little things you needed were available for us. Literally everything was delivered from the pics we've seen and will definitely be making my way back at some point. Small things like asking for assistance over the phone really adds to the experience, because sometimes we go away from our homes to not see people(not to be rude) and this was utterly amazing standards. We really enjoyed every bit while we were there and we recommend any couple to try the place Simple and easy environment.Truly astonishing service,place and area.
The small milk containers was off as we tasted I'll, but not major. To be honest, I think it's just the stairs that can be awkward, going up carrying many things can be difficult as there's little room to carry alot.

The unit is very clean and very well equipped. Loved the balcony with the braai. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2023The place was clean and neat. I could cook, bake and hubby could braai. Everything was there, as stated on the page. We wanted to be close to the beach to enjoy the water but it was too windy so we stayed in which was not a problem at all because the place was so calm and serene. Even though it was hot outside, it didn't feel like it was on the inside. The place is very spacious. Even though the wind was blowing, we could still enjoy sitting on the balcony without being bothered by the wind. I would definitely recommend the Oyster Catcher, and I'm definitely referring my friends and family to stay there. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and our baby's 3 month birthday the best way possible, and we do not regret staying there.
