Mara Oldcity

Compact and beautiful. Very kind staff.

The location was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Can't think of any.

Handy location within walking distance to the main tourist spots. Lots of restaurants too. Staff were warm friendly and helpful. Room was great for what we needed. Would definitely use this property again.

We had a lovely stay the hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Mr. Farhet was really helpful. Location of the hotel is perfect, close to the tram stations and various attractions.

Nothing

Good location, friendly personnel

Clean and modern rooms, excellent location

This is definitely one of the best values you can get anywhere! The room was spotless and, despite being small, was well organized (and the shower was great!). The staff was extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. The location was probably the best you can get in Istanbul for a tourist who wants to visit the main attractions. All this for an unbeatable price! Will definitely choose again if I plan to stay again in the European side of Istanbul!

Nothing

The staff are super friendly, Abdulrahman, Mohammed and Fahad, always welcoming, smiling, and helpful. The hotel is not big, but super clean and situated in a best location near many restaurants, shops, and walking distance from the Posfor river

Everything was amazing! Thank you so much🥹♥️

A Truly Unforgettable Stay. The location is perfect, close to everything, and the rooms are clean and comfortable just like the photos. What stood out the most was the exceptional staff; they treat you like a guest in their own home. Mr. Farhat was extremely professional and helped us choose a wonderful tour that added so much to our experience. Mr. Abdurrahman was also incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome with his warm and friendly manner. A special thanks as well to the outstanding housekeeping team for their daily care and attention to cleanliness. I felt safe and completely at ease throughout my stay. I will definitely be coming back to Turkey and to Mara Old City Hotel.

Everything is good

Staying at Mara Oldcity Hotel in Istanbul was truly an exceptional experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile—whether it was offering local tips or assisting with anything I needed. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from major landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. It’s the ideal base for exploring Istanbul on foot! My room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. I loved the attention to detail and the peaceful atmosphere, even though the hotel is centrally located. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and served with a lovely view—such a great way to start the day! If you’re looking for the perfect mix of comfort, hospitality, and location in Istanbul, Mara Oldcity Hotel is the place to stay. I’ll definitely be back—and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting this amazing city!

I would like to recommend this hotel for everybody like to go to shopping for holiday. This hotel is very very nice. Hotel the stuff the best very clean very good place so good so good.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Super nice🥰

The price and cleanness and the location.

Every thing was good comparing with the price.

I extended my stay as my plans changed, and I had everything I needed here. Good location and very comfortable and stylish room with a good en suite. Staff super friendly and helpful.

I liked everything

Comfortable room in the Oíd City. Good location to explore everything. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I liked everything

The host was very nice and gave us good advice on spots to visit and what to eat

Nothing

Lovely little hotel. Good location for the old town with good access to trams, boats or just to walk around Sultanahmet. Metro station nearby. The room was very comfortable, and I liked that it had a fridge and a kettle. Was very stylish and clean. Staff were really friendly too.

I liked everything

I would like to thank Mr.Farahat for his kind and his hospitality. Also, thank to Mr.abdulrahman for his support and guidance. Thanks also to asadullah for support. Amazing staff. That was one of my excellent experiences with this hotel. Regards

The room was exactly as shown in photos - small, but very clean, comfortable and renovated.

The only thing I would recommend to do is to renovate the reception hall since now it doesn’t correspond to good quality of rooms. Also it can be noisy since the street is quiet busy.

Great shower and water pressure. Great WiFi, and great air conditioning.

Clean, beautiful, refined and nice room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Cozy environment. Everything which may be needed is disposed of. Nice host. Perfect location. Absolutely worth it.

Absolutely amazing and recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. The room was clean, well-appointed, and exceptionally comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great

Fermat (day concierge), and Aslan (evening concierge) were both incredibly pleasant and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean, with excellent soundproofing windows, and quality air conditioning (room was renovated 7 months ago). Well located, an easy walk to all of the major sites. Would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was excellent

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is excellent-very walkable and close to everything. The staff were outstanding: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The room was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again.

Wonderful hotel, new, clean and with beautiful style. The location is fantastic and the staff is incredibly caring and attentive! 10 out of 10! I absolutely recommend it!!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although small, very clean and simple room. The location is elite, walkable to most landmarks. Close to major train, ferry and tram stations. 2 minute walk to Sirkeci station, very easy to get to both airports. Comfy beds.

Overall nothing, would definitely book again! Some light noise from other guests walking past your room or from the street/trams outside. Seemed to die down after midnight anyway and wasn't enough to disrupt my sleep or be a major problem. Small shower head to fit under if you're a tall person. Hand held attachment provided as well which made it easier.

We arrived late and they told our room was sold and we were placed in another nearby hotel of lower quality. We were given another room and nothing was offered as excuse ( the room upgrade it wasn’t a room upgrade as the room had roof with cracked plaster and tubes for heater coming out of the floor as it was not installed yet). Moreover the bathroom does not work and stinks of umidità the whole room.

Bathroom stinks Nothing to get excused for the room Dirty towels

The location is amazing, 5 minutes to Hagia Sophia, and 3 minutes to Bosfor. The staff is excellent they are so nice and soo helpful. We stayed for 7 days, we always had clean towels, and they made are room every day🥰 We will be definitely back🤩

Very well located. The room was clean and the furniture new. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small but ok.

the room is quite small. My room was located at the first floor and you can hear everything from the street (people gathering and laughing all night) and also you hear everything from the reception.

- Close to the main tourist attractions and well connected by public transport. - Good value for money (85€/night). - The hotel is pretty clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. - They also offer private transfers to the airport and dinner cruises on the Bosphorus.

The staff were brilliant and really helpful especially, when helping with my luggage and getting a taxi, The room was lovely and the location was fab.

Hepful staff.

All was ok

Greta place to stay. Great location and comfortable rooms. Personal really pleasant and ready to help.

Very centrally located to Egyptian spice bazaar, Galata Bridge and public transport. Good value for money. I arrived very early in morning. The day manager was very friendly and accommodated me for early check in once previous guest checked out and room got cleaned. He helped me store luggages. Room was spacious and well equipped.

Some minor renovation flaws such as gap between wall and bathroom door, gap between light switch panel & wall and 2 random pipes sticking out of wall, which compromised esthetics, but didn’t pose any safety issues for me. Walls are thin and not well sound proved. My ground floor room faces toward street, which can be noisy from passing by public transports and street activities.

The place was great! The staff is doing there absolute best to make your stay special. They even bring a little plate with turkish treats for you in the evening. The rooms are basically brand new and the beds are really comfy. Everythings was exceptionally clean.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The receptionist are amazing they found out it was our anniversary and helped us book a tour through the Bosphorous. The facilities are squeaky clean, housekeeping staff takes care of your room without being intrusive. And location is great!

An affordable hotel in the city center. - Great location: all major attractions are within a 10-minute walk. - Very hospitable staff, always ready to help 24/7. - Clean enough, and most of the amenities in the room were in working order.

- Very noisy: if you are a light sleeper, it’s hard to get any rest. Tram noise from 6 AM to 12 AM, restaurants under the window, neighbors taking showers, phone ringing at the reception, etc. - Charging socket looked strange (just a hole in the wall). - The air conditioner didn’t work (I didn’t need it during my stay, but it could be a problem in the summer). - Very small room: suitable only for one person.

The property is amazing

Nothing everything was great

Location: The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Istanbul, in the Fatih district. Many of the city’s major attractions are within a 10-minute walk, and the tram station is just a few minutes away, making it super easy to get around. Room: The accommodation was phenomenal! The rooms look exactly like the photos — clean, well-maintained, and very cozy. Housekeeping was done daily, and everything smelled fresh and pleasant from the moment we entered. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Hospitality: A huge thank you to Aslan and the reception team! They were incredibly kind, helpful, and always in a good mood. They offered great tips, helped us whenever needed, and made us feel right at home. Their warm attitude made our stay even more memorable. We’ll definitely come back to Istanbul — and when we do, we’re booking this hotel again without a second thought!

Ferhat and Abdulrahman made our stay extraordinary. They helped us with many tips and with our luggage and arranged a taxi van to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely worth the value. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Serkçi and close the Tram station. We found out all time hotel for any future visits!

Nothing we didn’t like.

Nice hotel, clean and good value for the price. Close to everything.

Noisy

Everything was great. All the different people at the reception were nice and helpful. Very clean room. Really loved that when i was sick and had to cancel a tour last minute, they rescheduled it without charges for two days after so that i could make it.

Great. Good location

Great location, road noise was ok (we were on 5th floor) the trams stopped overnight and started at 6am. Room/bathroom was a bit small, but had everything we needed and was very good value for money. The best bit was definitely the staff - they were exceptionally kind and helpful. A word of warning - if you get a taxi (we got one from the hotel to the airport) be prepared for a terrifying ride - ours only knew one speed and that was in excess of 170kph! All one handed and using his mobile phone!!!!!

Great hotel very friendly staff good location

The hotel is very clean and located close to all services and attractions. The security is excellent, and the reception staff, without exception, are all professional, polite, and extremely helpful. They made everything easy and were always ready to assist with any request. I initially booked for five nights but extended my stay for an additional four nights because of how comfortable and convenient everything was. Highly recommended!

Excellent centralized location and the staff were simply top notch. Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had at a hotel. The room was perfect for a multi-day stay in Istanbul and as a solo traveler, couldn’t have asked for a better room. Highly recommend Mara Hotel, and will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Istanbul.

Nice and modern property, great location, helpful amenities in the room

Wonderful people, super friendly and hospitality was legendary!

Nothing much really - didn’t bother me but if you’re a light sleeper the tram line might cause you trouble.

The location, the hotel, the guys at reception are absolutely amazing!! They helped us alot and all the requests were immediately fulfilled.

The hotel staff is very friendly. Cleaning is done daily.

Fantastic location to see landmarks of Istanbul, great area for culture, food and fun. The staff were amazing and so easy to deal with! They really went out of their way! Hopefully I get back here again!

The room

The WiFi

Everything is brilliant ：）

The receptionists were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean, modern, and had everything necessary for a comfort stay.

🛋️The hotel rooms are exactly like on the photos, everything is new and clean, there is some instant coffee and tea, shampoos and soap. The bed has an orthopaedic mattress. 🧡We were there in February and it was quite warm in the room, we never used AC. 👨🏻‍💻The people at the reception are incredibly nice and positive, always ready to help, they made the experience perfect. 📍The location is also great, all possible types of transport are within 2-5 minutes walk.

. From the moment I arrived, everything was flawless. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and always ready to assist with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely cozy, and I had a great night’s sleep every night. The housekeeping team did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness. The location was also perfect Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit

The rooms are nice and modern. The staff is so friendly and kind! Always willing to assist and help and make jokes. It’s fairly central too, close to trams. The bed is comfy and the rooms were clean.

They just forgot toilet paper in the room. That’s all. I’m sure they would’ve brought it if I said something but I bring my own ha!

I really enjoyed my stay in Mara Oldcity. TThe room is new, very clean, and has a good smell and nice interior design. The location indeed is also convenient for visiting Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace. Also, easy to find late night meals.

Alhamdulillah, the hotel is very clean and in a strategic location. It is very close to Gulhane Park, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. The room is very beautiful and clean. There is a cleaner who tidies the room every day. The mattress is soft, and the pillows are soft dsn very comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The reception is friendly. Most importantly, the price is very reasonable.

Very clean, spacious, quiet inside the rooms. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Right next to Marmaray metro station (2 minutes), so easily reachable from the airport. They also provide private transport. 3 min away to tram station to access all attractions. Walking distance to Eminonu Square, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar etc.

The location was perfect; you can just walk to many attractions, and it is also just next to a tramline and Marmaray. The room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable. The air conditioner and all the appliances in the room was properly working. I met with 3 different receptionists and each of them were nice, welcoming and helpful.

It was the best experience, the rooms are clean and the staff are kind and not to forget the location of this hotel they made my vacation and experience in Istanbul the best

Бүх юмандаа ойр сайн байршилтай, цэвэрхэн, өрөө нь жижиг хэрнээ тухтай. Угтагч нь найрсаг маш сайхан харьцаатай. Баярлалаа

Great place in the heart of Istanbul! The host was very hospitable, the hotel was new and clean, the bed was comfortable, there was everything you need for a your stay(shampoo, tea) The location was perfect, you can reach everything on foot (transport, main attractions) but in a quiet area. The internet connection was superb (it was one of the main points of us), we enjoyed our stay!

The room was small, but well-organized :)

Very nice people that will do anything to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Next time I’ll be checking here in again! Thanks for the services. Redouan & Yasmin

One of the most beautiful hotels you can stay in Istanbul. The room is very clean and family-friendly, and the hospitality is wonderful. The staff are very cooperative and ethical, and they helped me with many things. They are extremely friendly. The hotel has an excellent location in Sirkeci. Everything is available. The ferries at Eminonu Port are very close, and the tram station is very close. The whole area is full of restaurants and a shopping mall. This hotel is really beautiful, very safe and clean, and the rooms have a European feel. The thing I enjoyed most is that the level of customer service is very high. They provided me with transportation to and from Istanbul Airport, and whenever I asked about an address, they would explain it and write it down in detail. In addition, the internet is very strong and free. The staff there are really great and were above my expectations. This is the hotel I will stay in every time. Thank you to all the staff and those in charge of managing this hotel.

The place is a brand new hotel, everything works smoothly. Spacious and very clean big room, king size, comfy bed and spot on bathroom . The staff are super friendly and very professional , help you with all your requests.

Smell of cigarettes in the building and also in the room(not that much). The trams running so close to the hotel all days (6AM to midnight) .

Great, no breakfast served yet but great place

Maybe have a common area?

Optimum location: All attractions, shopping, transportation, and restaurants are within walking distance in the heart of Sirkeci. Fantastic staff. I will definitely come back again and again! Thank you very much for your hospitality!
