Sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende! Sehr hilfsbereiten entgegenkommend, interessiert, kommunikativ. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker in sehr gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist prima: Galway City ist leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Das Zimmer lag zur Straße und das Haus ist sehr hellhörig. So war es ein wenig zu laut - schade. Wir haben nicht so gut geschlafen.

Alloggio molto molto carino e curato, situato in una via dove si trovano tutti b&b, a 10-15 minuti a piedi dalle principali attrazioni della città. La stanza, pur non grandissima, era dotata di tutti i comfort e molto silenziosa, assicurando un ottimo riposo. Eccellente l'accoglienza del personale e la super colazione inclusa nel prezzo.

The breakfast was excellent, and the location was very good, being only about 500 meters from the city und directly beneath the greyhound station (worth a visit !). The team were exceptionally friendly, and we would be delighted to come back again.

The Ardawn House was in a great location. Walking to and from the train station and downtown Galway was very easy. We were warmly welcomed by the housekeeper, Ana, who showed us around the B&B. The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Ardawn House for one night during our visit to Galway and had a truly lovely experience. A special mention must go to Van-Denis, who was exceptionally kind, welcoming and hospitable. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome and was always ready to help with a smile. His warmth and personal attention really made a difference, even though our stay was short. The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast — absolutely delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully served, with plenty of choice. It was easily one of the best breakfasts we had during our trip. The house itself is comfortable, clean and conveniently located within easy walking distance of Galway city centre. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Van-Denis, for your wonderful hospitality. We would happily stay at Ardawn House again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Galway. Kafenia, Greece

The staff team are absolutely lovely, so attentive and kind. They are chatty, warm and very helpful.

It is a dated property so like a 2-3 star place, but clean and well located.

The room and the entire house were very quiet which was nice and the breakfast was great. It was the best breakfast of our trip and the staff were very kind.

The tv in the room didn’t have very many channels and the toilet took a long time to fill back up after use. The room got quite hot at night. It needed a lighter blanket maybe.

Je remercie Van Denis et son équipe pour leur accueil exceptionnel. Ils sont aux petits soins pour leur hôtes. La chambre est confortable et très bien tenue. Le petit déjeuner est varié et très copieux avec un large choix de plats chauds et froids, pour un petit déjeuner irlandais ou français. La localisation est parfaite, à 10 mns de la gare et du quartier latin. Merci à toute l'équipe

We really enjoyed our stay at Ardawn House. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. Dennis and Anna really made us welcome, they honestly could not do enough to help us and make sure we were comfortable All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was one of the highlights – restaurant quality with plenty of different choices, all freshly prepared and really good more than enough to make sure we didn’t go hungry. The location worked well for us too. It’s about a kilometre from the main restaurants, pubs and bars in the city centre, so an easy walk without being right in the middle of all the noise. A great place to stay in Galway and somewhere we’d happily stay again. Definitely 5/5. I am very happy to recommend it as one of the best B&B’s I have stayed in.

The convenience to downtown was great! Very walkable. The breakfast was amazing too. Did not expect for it to feel like a cafe but it definitely did! Took our order and it was very good!

Did not like not having air conditioning but, that’s probably a me issue rather than them! Not a lot of a/c in Ireland.

Tout était parfait. Accueil au top. Chambre tres confortable. Petit déjeuner excellent et copieux avec la possibilité de choisir (continental ou Irlandais, voire les deux...) et personnel tres à l'écoute. De plus, proche du centre animé. Je recommande vivement!

Manque d isolation sonore entre les chambres

The staff was super friendly. Not a word to say about the hosts - they were lovely. Location was fine - whilst not in the very centre, it was pretty close to get to restaurants and shops, especially since we had a car.

On Booking.com, this is listed as a 5-star accommodation, while the sign on the building itself indicates 4 stars. Having stayed in several 4- and 5-star hotels and B&Bs, I really struggle to understand either rating. The room was extremely small - we struggled to even open our suitcases on the floor. We’re both slim and could barely fit comfortably in the shower. Sound insulation was also poor; we could clearly hear people walking around on the squeaky floors above us. The Wi-Fi was so unreliable that I eventually gave up and used my mobile data instead. The staff were friendly and pleasant, but the overall service and presentation didn’t feel consistent with a 4- or 5-star establishment. For example, we were greeted at the door by a member of staff wearing slippers, and the person attending to us at breakfast was wearing sweatpants. There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with the accommodation, and we had no major issues during our stay. My main concern is that expectations need to be managed better. Based on our experience, the advertised star rating + price - and particularly the 9.3 score on Booking.com - set expectations that the property simply didn’t meet.

Sehr sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes bed and breakfast. Wir wurden super freundlich von Anna empfangen. Leider hatten wir nur eine Nacht gebucht, wären aber gern noch länger geblieben. Das Frühstück ist großartig, die Komponenten kann man selbst zusammenstellen - so dass süße Pankakes mit Speck 😁 ebenso gehen wie etwa Spiegelei mit Salat, vegane Auswahl oder Omelette. Nicht zu vergessen - hervorragender Orangensaft, wie es auch nicht in jedem Haus in Irland üblich ist. Rund um die Uhr kann man sich im Aufenthaltsraum Kaffee oder Tee holen. Ins Zentrum von Galway ist es etwa ein Kilometer zu gehen. Aber die City von Galway kann man eh ganz gut zu Fuß machen. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt hier, würden wir jederzeit gerne wieder im Ardawn-House einchecken.

La struttura è accogliente, e gli ambienti comuni fanno sentire a casa. L’esperienza è stata ottima, grazie anche alla gentilezza e alla disponibilità dello staff e del manager. Colazione eccellente, con piatti preparati al momento nel rispetto di ogni esigenza. Parcheggio comodissimo e a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro della città. Consigliatissimo

Staff very attentive & accomodating... they really cater to their guests! We loved stadium view out our 3rd floor room, altho' no events. Very clean, comfy bed, & spacious room & common areas. Exceptional breakfast menu. 24/7 specialty coffee & biscuits. Short walking distance to Eyre Square & heart of city & bus station!!! Parking on site without additional fee was great for us! Thx Anna, Van Denis & team for taking such great care of us during our stay!

Was ok for us, but our room was on 3rd floor, & no lift. Staff graciously helped with luggage, but could be challenging for those with limited mobility.

Lage optimal um schnell nach Gallway reinzulaufen, ohne immer im Getümmel zu sein. Das Frühstück war herausragend!!!

Les prestations de la chambre ne correspondent pas du tout au prix demandé. Nous avons payé 339 euros pour une chambre familiale, ce qui est cher voire très cher et nous avons eu une chambre petite et vieillotte. La salle de bain était elle aussi très exiguë. Quant à l'isolation phonique, elle est inexistante, si vous voulez dormir un peu il vous faudra des bouchons d'oreilles. On ne peut pas pratiquer de tels tarifs pour si peu de confort; le petit déjeuner est certes très qualitatif mais ce n'est pas suffisant pour un hôtel.

The place was very clean and tidy. They provided everything that you will ever need. Most of all, the staff is very friendly and welcoming! Very helpful! And when my friend left her phone in the taxi, they made sure they informed her immediately that the driver returned the phone. Breakfast was excellent!

Van-Denis has been the perfect host. Everything has been absolutely excellent. This is possibly the best B&B we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed in many! The breakfast is exceptional, Van-Denis is incredibly attentive and helpful, and the room has absolutely everything you could need, including lovely toiletries. The beds are also fantastic, with an excellent mattress! Congratulations on everything you have created, and thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful!

Adorabile bnb a circa 10 minuti dal centro. Camera un po’ piccina ma accogliente, pulitissima. Colazione eccezionale. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile.

Everything!! Anna greeted us and gave us all of the information we needed to begin our stay. She is very kind and helpful. The room was great and the beds are comfortable. The location was perfect. Close to downtown if we wanted to walk and across the street from the local Bus Eireann stop if you wanted a faster way or you were not able to walk. Super quiet location. Lovely common areas. And then the breakfast!!! The food is so good- fresh, tasty, beautifully presented. And Denis is the nicest host. He is quick to help you with anything you need, from something you need while you are staying there to helping you plan your outings. This man loves his work and it shows. He treated every guest as if they were the most important people in the room. We hated to leave. If I ever get back to Galway, I would be really sad if I wasn’t able to stay here.

The shower was super confusing. I pressed and turned a lot of dials before I got water to come out at a Goldilocks temperature- just right. And I couldn’t figure out what one of the dials was for. And why did the water shut off as I was rinsing off? Instructions, please.

Tout était merveilleux 😌 Van Denis est un hôte sensationnel aux petits soins et de très bon conseil. Non loin du centre ville et juste à côté du stade nous avons même pu profiter d’une soirée traditionnelle de course de chiens. Le petit déjeuner est extraordinaire nos compliments au chef. Tout est fait pour que l’on se sente comme à la maison c’est très agréable ❤️

The breakfast was amazing! The best I had in a B&B, the manager was lovely, very kind and helpful. We had his phone number so we could ask him anything. The rooms were very clean and near a stadium so we even watched a rugby match!!

Parkplatz ist etwas eng für zu große Autos; aber man findet sich zurecht. Dafür hat man direkt vor der Tür den Parkplatz.

Grande disponibilité du gérant, plein de bons conseils donnés pour la suite de notre voyage. Excellent petit-déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix.

Le personnel qui était très attentif au bien être des clients, en particulier Denis, un grand merci à lui pour toutes les recommandations de visites, mais surtout pour les exceptionnels petits déjeuners , nous sommes restés 15 jours en Irelande et mon mari dit que c’était le meilleur de tout les séjours que nous avons fait.

The location is the perfect stay for a trip to Galway! The hosts are more than welcoming, the breakfast just fabulous and the rooms tidy. Close to the city center with a ten minute walk. We can only recommend staying here, if you plan a trip to Galway!

Das Ardawn House hat unserer Erwartungen erfüllt: Ein authentisches Haus mit knarrendem Böden, liebevoll eingerichtet, ruhig gelegen und doch nur 10 Minuten zu Fuss bis ins Stadtzentrum, herzliche Mitarbeiter welche ein hervorragendes Frühstück zaubern und einem kostenlosen Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Die Hunderennbahn liegt direkt nebenan. Vom Fenster aus konnten wir einen Blick auf ein Rennen erhaschen. Wer ein voll klimatisiertes Standarthotel ohne Geschichte sucht, ist hier falsch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
