Ragith Villa

Der Empfang und die Fürsorge hat uns gut gefallen. Die Mahlzeiten waren sehr gut und viel.Gegessen wurde im Esszimmer, das im Kolonialstil eingerichtet war. In wenigen Minuten hat man den See erreicht und auch einige Lebensmittelgeschäfte. Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch schnell mit dem Tuktuk zu erreichen. Schön ist auch ein Abendspaziergang zu den nahegelegenen Teefeldern. Die Natur ist wirklich toll.

Der Teppichboden in der Einliegerwohnung hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. Besser sind die Zimmer oben.Dort hat man einen verglasten Balkon und es ist heller und freundlicher.

Nice location, easy to find. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was great. The prices were affordable and really worth the stay.

Everything about Ragith Villa is Good, especially the caretaker family . They really made my stay very comfortable. I will definitely recommend this place for stay.

Great Place! Nice and peaceful with a lovely view. The room was clean and the beds were super comfy. Had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and the rice and curry for dinner was absolutely delicious! Great value for money too. The host was friendly and easy to deal with. Would happily come back!

Холодно в номере. Утром в комнате было 16° С. Семье из 4 человек сложно помыться, так как горячая вода в бойлере быстро заканчивается.

I loved everything. A beautiful house, all made of wood, in a fantastic location. The food was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent, and the mother of the family makes the best rice and curry ever. Everything was spotlessly clean. What I loved most of all was the family. They welcomed me as if I were part of the family ❤️ I will come back one day 😊

Power Sockets and Light switch are not easy to access. There was a Huge cupboard entirely blocking the Switches.

Hot shower and internet. Cafe a walk down the road called the kitchen was so friendly and cheered us up

We found this place so unpleasant that although we had booked 2 nights we left first thing the next morning. We had made the booking based on the previous guests very positive feedback. What we experienced was so radically different..I find it incredible that a place could change so quickly and can only assume the previous 10's were not honest. The welcome was poor, it took a long time for the door to be answered, we were made to feel we were a nuisance The house is very run down and in a run down area. The view is of pylons. The house smelt badly of mildew and mould, curtain nets were green with mould. Our room was cold and damp, sheets had mould, the mattress felt damp, windows dirty so even the pylon view was obscured,. Many gaps in the windows which allowed the wind to blow in. Bathroom window hanging by 1 screw.! Carpet dirty and dusty. Front door always locked so have to ring bell to be let in.this was obviously irritating the hosts! We toughed out the first night but it was cold and damp so left in the morning, having booked 2 days..we forfeited one days money. My plea would be for reviewers to be honest. Being an accomodation provider myself I know how hard it is to get a 10...

Very good value for money, extremely nice and kind staff. Very close to shops, fruit vendors, restaurants. A nice walk down and around the lake. It's a bit of a walk into the town but it's a nice one. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

The front door would be locked so you have to knock or ring the bell every time to get in

Peaceful stay with wonderful hosts The family running the place was extremely kind and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and had all the basics I needed. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, but not close to the town, so you’ll need transport to get around. Still, I really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the warm hospitality. A lovely spot to relax.

Absolutely recommended to stay at Ragith Villa in Nuwara Eliya. We loved our stay here!! The room is nice, spacious, comfortable, has a big bed and a clean bathroom. We loved the little sunroom where we ate our breakfast with a beautiful view. The breakfast itself was also super good, and I definitely recommend ordering dinner here as well. One of the tastiest meals we've had in Sri Lanka! The staff was super friendly. The location was perfect for us, a bit away from the center and nice and quiet, but very close to the lake and surrounded by tea plantations. Perfect to walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Everything we could have wished for for our stay in Nuwara Eliya

The only inconvenience is that sometimes we couldn't find our host, if we had a question or wanted to communicate something. But it was never a real problem, we just needed some patience and someone would turn up ;).

Very disappointed with the room and the cleaning. We’ve have been traveling with the same budget for the past 3 months around India, Nepal and Sri Lanka and this is by far the worst place we’ve stayed. Specially, in terms of cleaning. We booked a room from the lower floor, and it feels like a bunker. The carpet on the floor was dirty and full of hairs. The huge wardrobe is locked so cannot be used and full of things (like a mattress) and dust. The bathroom also dirty and water leaking everywhere. The views form the room are at an interior courtyard full of things as well, so better keep the curtain closed. The house in general also very dirty. If it wasn’t enough, we were woken up by the lady of the house yelling at some workers next to our room because they decided to move all the furniture just outside of the room. When we opened the door of the room, we found all the dirt and dust that was under all that furniture.. no one cleaned until after we left I guess. The only positive thing we can find: - quiet place - beautiful views (only if you get the upper ones at double the price)

Loved everything about Ragith Villa. The owners were fantastic. Very warm and welcoming. Had a nice pot of tea when we arrived early for our stay. The room was bright and spacious with a lovely hot shower- not always available where we have previously stayed. The breakfast was amazing!!. The location was about a 30 min walk from the centre. We love walking so it suited us. We paid 1000 rupees to walk through the lovely Gregory Park. However a short walk from the accommodation is a bus stop with many buses going into the centre for 50 rupees. There are a few local eating places around. The locals we met were wonderful and helped to make our stay special. Thank you and if we come back, Ragith will be top of our list

The WiFi did not work properly the room wasn’t really clean (big dust layer on upper shelf’s, mirror was dirty and the carpet did not look so good… Also I booked a bigger room but in the end got the smaller one with less view…

Wifi wasnt working at all downstairs so they moved me upstairs which was really nice. Such a confortable beds. Amazing tea.

A great home stay. There are a number of large common areas to relax. The property overlooks tea fields. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Every thing in the bathroom functioned properly. The location is great, 10 minutes outside of the city center driving with buses going to town about every 20 minutes. The internet connection was very good.

Lovely family to stay with, excellent hospitality and lovely breakfast daily. We had our washing done and it was washed, dried and waiting for us after a day out. Great place!

The big villa with farm tea view that I loved it. Everything was great and owner is very hospitality as all of people is in srilanka. You can take a walk in farm teas which is behind the Ragith villa.

Super lovely and helpful family. They helped us arrange a taxi to Horton Plains. There is huge and delicious breakfast. Common space. Laundry available on site. Very reasonable prices. Hot water shower. We ended up staying 3 nights, and would do it again

The hot water was actually working, something rare in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very friendly and helpful

this is a wonderful place! this house looks like a real castle. it has a large cozy living room, kitchen, lots of balconies and relaxation areas. the rooms have very large windows with a magnificent view of the tea plantations and mountains. in the rainy season it can be a bit cold, we arrived on bikes in the evening in the rain and the owners of the house made us very, very tasty tea for free. gave warm blankets and shared their warm clothes, because our clothes got wet in the rain. this family gave us a very warm welcome and if we are in this city again, we will definitely stay with them!

after my confirmation of Booking.com they had booked for local travelers, and they told me to go for another hotel
