Zoser hostel

Very unprofessional staff Were a bit rude They told me the room i already booked was not available and i will have to pay for more to get another room.. I had to move with my luggage to another hotel .. I called the customer support .. they tried to contact the hotel but they didn't reply

Absolutely nothing.

Almost everything. I would categorize all issues into 2 sections. Things that were beyond control of the hotel like constant honking of cars and noise coming from street, people working in the construction sites nearby in the middle of the nights etc. But I will focus on what the hotel could have ensured but miserably failed: 1. I booked a double bedroom but upon arrival, my wife and I were told that the double bed room is not available. They can offer us a twin bed room at the same price (as if we were getting an upgrade) 2. The bed linens were straight fixed from the last person's usage. They were not washed. The smell and creases from someone using the linen's were very evident with also some stains in the bed sheet. 3. Too many mosquitos in the room. We had to put a towel on our face the whole night to avoid mosquito biting. 4. Regardless my wife was bitten in the face so bad that she looked like she had chicken pox in her entire face (and it was just our first day in Cairo. 5. The flow of water in the shower is very bad. Also, either we had extremely hot water or extremely cold water when we were turning on the tap. Nothing in between.

The location

No hot water and no WiFi in my first night

Downtown location, 5 min to Nasser metro, 2 cats on the floor,

No deep cleaning of the rooms with old carpets and broken furniture, street noise until 3, but expected during ramadan and car honking. 7th floor and twice I walked up 😜

The guy receptionist was a great spirit

Dirty room, not a functional bathroom, trash from previous visitors (it appears more than one with the amount of trash) They didn't give us our included breakfast

المرحاض الخارجي لا يطاق برائحة فضلات القطط

There's nothing you like about this place...

-The room's furnishings are old and worn out... -The noise and disturbance are constant, day and night, making you feel like you're sleeping on the street.. -There are mosquitoes everywhere in the room and bathroom. -The smell of cigarettes permeates the entire place, both inside and outside the room. - The lighting is poor.. .-The internet service is bad.. .- The staff's attitude is unpleasant.. - Little value for what you pay - One of the worst places I've stayed, both inside and outside the country.- .- It's not fit for human habitation.

Location Shower in the room Quiteness in the hotel Several toilets available

Toilets were not clean, they had stinky smell due to cats litter everywhere Windows isnot insulated, noisy outside Weak water flow from the tap in the room

ممتاز

nice and clean rooms

My initial reservation was two nights, and I extended it for another couple, the place is comfy as usual, thanks to the manager, she’s wonderful, and the staff is also very helpful, I even forgot something in the room when I left, and they kindly kept it for me, I look forward to seeing them again, enjoying the stay, and experience the amazing vibes of downtown Cairo.

Bad Experience. Breakfast Only One Egg and One bread.

I liked so much the way the Staff dealing with the residents! The Employees there are amazing! The View is Very Good!

The Bed in the Room was NOT Clean at all The Sheet is not clean! They should take care of the Cleanliness of the Room and having an antiseptic Spray for the Bed Insects, this is very important! I was Suffering so much for Sleeping unfortunately!

The Location and the AC and the view from the balcony

If you value your life, your safety, your peace and your family I beg you to not go to this hotel. The service was bad and one of the guys working tried to scam us into booking an extra room and alleged that me (a revert hijabi muslim) and my friend (also a hijabi) should not stay in the room together because maybe we are gay. My friend was also named a security risk because she is from Qalyubia (racism/discrimination), then they proceeded to take her and subject her to very inappropriate questioning There were no pillowcases provided the first day, the mini fridge was not stocked on arrival but they tried to charge me for more than I took and we had to ask multiple times for bedsheets and towels. The chair on the balcony was also broken, as was the tap for the bidet. The sink tap was constantly leaking. Sure there was also a lot of noise from outside but that is normal for the city center, the low rating is based purely on the terrible treatment Also on the last night in the middle of the night our door was being rattled and someone was trying to get inside our room whilst we were obviously in our pyjamas, it turned out a staff member was trying to enter our room to give it to other guests.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. The only problem was mosquitoes getting into the rooms and the smell of pigeon cages coming from the neighboring buildings.

The staff is nice. The room with balcony is quite big. Personal toilet. Breakfast.

The carpet is stained, the blankets have burnt holes. It was hard to find, there are no signs outside (they have renamed themselves Cleopatra, just go to the entrance and take the old elevator up to the 7th floor, on the right).

The room with shower was big and comfortable, also the staff was very kind because one night we couldn't sleep for work on the street and the staff permitted us to sleep in another room.

The protection of anti-insects in the room should have smaller holes.

There is an amazing and super friendly and helpful staff. Thank's them a lot for all, I really appreciate them for all and I'm looking forward to meet all of them again ) Internet connection is good (that was really important for me) and bed was very comfortable. This is a cozy place where you can feel relaxed. Location is really convenient for all cases. I'll plan to stay this hotel again during my next trip to Cairo )

It's very old building and cleanliness isn't on a high level. But it's expected in a point of value for money.

Building is near Egyptian museum. Room was big. They let us check in early in the morning.

The balcony doors don’t actually close, so we got lots of mosquito bites. Very loud from traffic. The carpet was very stained and dirty. The stairway to get up was extremely dirty and smelly and the ancient elevator looked extremely dodgy. When we checked out they claimed we stole water from the fridge, which we never opened and they never said there was anything in it when we checked in. Wifi was okay but dropped out sometimes. Entrance was hard to find, we added photos of what it looks like from the street (it’s on the 7th floor) Do not book a tour through the reception! We did, and it was supposed to be a driver from 7:15am to 5pm. We paid a pretty high price for this. It seems like reception didn’t organise anything for us, and in the morning at 7:30 started making calls to find a driver. We were only picked up at 8:10, and he then lied to the driver and said we would be done by 2pm. The driver even had to return the car at 2pm. We didn’t know any of this till midday, when reception was messaging us on WhatsApp to hurry up at the pyramids, which ruined our day. Luckily we talked with the driver over Google translate and he agreed to give us a bit more time, but we still missed out on one of our must see locations. They offered a discount for the inconvenience and missed hour but we never got that.

no towels, door didn't close, no soap, broken shower

It was affordable, centrally located, with very large rooms, and the staff was really very kind

They need to put up a sign because finding it with the GPS navigator wasn't exactly easy

Very nice staff.. Arij she very nice helpful girl

Spacious room.

They charged us more than it said when we booked. The elevator and the area is shabby. Our room did not have a balcony like it said on the booking. Also, the bathroom in the room did not have any toilet, it was just a small shower.

The hotel staff are the best at this hotel, especially Areeg and Mrwan, who went out of their way to be so helpful. The hospitality is off the charts. In fact, I arrived many hours early because I had an early flight and did not want to wait at the airport for hours. Upon my arrival, they both gave me an available room until my room was ready. Can you believe that? I was actually able to get some rest with A/C. They set up a fantastic package trip to Giza, a life long dream. Private car, bilingual tour guide, vegetarian meal, etc. It went so well that the tour guide and are still in contact. Plus, the hostel is right in busy downtown, just so much life. Full time security, staff that even went to buy me bottled water, etc. The room was big enough, for sure. This place is very underrated. The elevator may give some pause, but it just added to the charm of Cairo. Egypt was not on my travel itinerary and because of the amazing people at Zoser Hostel and the other kind Egyptians I met, I am returning next year.

I wish it was a non-smoking hostel.

great location although the building it's a bit derelict. no frills accommodation but good vale for the money.

Location was good. Staff gave towels when I asked for them. Huge room and huge bathroom. Building has elevator. Value for the price I paid.

No hot/warm water in the shower. Shower holder is broken so it may fall on your head. Toilet seat is loose. Water leaks from the bottom of the sink. Duvet and carpets are very dirty. Constans noise from road and hotel corridor. Elevator is very old and feels unsafe but it works. It is from the Tutenkhamen era as someone already mentioned before (I kid you not!)

Location

hungry dogs and cats everywhere and no one looks after them.

Amazing stay! Confy bed, cozy, clean, team is perfect and location is more than you could ask!

not much

the entrance is hard to find, the staircase is a shithole (garbage and dirt everywhere and smelly) The hostel is all up in the 7th floor, we got another room than we booked (we booked dopple deluxe and got a very shitty room with single beds...) the bathroom was tiny and standing under water, only after request we got toiletpaper and blankets... Also it is very noisy from the street!

i recommend this place it is clean and very good i thank Areej for her good personality and kindness

no

the teamis cooperative and the receptionis good Areeg's reception is good and excellent

no

Clean, and very friendly staff

Noise due to traffic

Lovely stay, the people working at the horel were very helpfull and polite.

The elevator did not work properly.

Amazing value for the money! Very clean as well. The best part of this hotel experience was the staff, all three I interacted with, Mohammad, Islam, Moeen were all very helpful. Some slight issues but any issue I had the staff took seriously, and helped me the best they could immediately. The location is amazing in downtown Cairo! The view is phenomenal! The AC works well!

I mentioned a few things to staff that they could improve, nothing super serious and because of how they helped me I didn't mind. They are new so I'm sure they will grow into an even better hotel!

Great locatio'n
