Sharon is an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to make us feel right at ease, and her cooking is tremendous
Our host was fantastic! She made great food for dinner and accommodated our food requests! She also provided great information about area sights, restaurants, and the local health clinic we needed.
It’s down a very bumpy road but we knew that prior to booking so it wasn’t that big a deal.
Some places are special not just because of the location, service, food etc. but the people behind it - Sharon is an amazingly charming woman and she literally made us feel at home the moment we stepped in. Going out of the way with everything - preparing delicious callaloo soup at short notice, making a very early breakfast as we wanted to make the ferry and driving me to collect pizza,, and all with a big smile! We shared so many stories and recipes with each other and were truly sad when it was time to say goodbye!
Not so much didn't like - but this place is on top of a hill and the road is very bumpy and almost a dirt track last 2-3 mins. So if you're driving, please get very clear directions. Google map does work but at one point did seem to pick a wrong direction. It can be very dark as it's a small community and even the locals don't always know and then there's the problem understanding the accent! But it's all worth it when you get there!!!
The owner is lovely. Very welcoming. Property is very clean. Very peaceful location.
No air conditioning.
Great guesthouse, Sharon the owner is lovely and made us feel really welcome on our first day in St Vincent's. Communication prior to the visit was great and the directions to find her place were great too. Would recommend!!
Beautiful view and very nice hostess
No ac and no restaurants nearby
Sharon is the most lovely lady, warm and welcoming, efficient, friendly and a delight to talk to. The place is spotless, extremely comfortable with the most spectacular views. Breakfast was delicious. All in all, I couldn't have asked for more.
Nothing ...... I wish Id been able to stay longer. Don't be put off by the state of the road to the property, they are all like that!
The Milligan House is an oasis of tranquility. It’s a lovely space with a wonderful and kind proprietor who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time there.
Sharon was such wonderful and welcoming host and she has created a relaxed 'home from home' feel. Her welcome rum punch went down really well, lit up by the moon over the ocean. As it is a little away from cafes and restaurants (but all the more peaceful for it) we opted to have dinner there, which was delicious and home cooked. The breakfasts were brilliant too and set us up for a days sightseeing and a swim at nearby Brighton Beach. The local taxi contact, Dejoun, was great too - he showed us around parts of the island, and introduced us to the Plum Rose fruit!
Food and room great
Charged more than the booking price with booking.com. or is the booking .com price misleading
A beautiful small hotel run by Sharon who was a marvellous host.
A few mosquitoes but there was a mosquito net. Air con would have helped but we weren’t expecting this.
Peaceful and remote location with views of the Atlantic Ocean across a field with cows and a few goats. Lively breeze blowing across the terrace with comfortable seats. Lower bar with more seating on an outdoor covered deck. Quick trip from airport (definitely request a driver from the manager) but through backroads. If arriving at night, get a driver! King Bed was super comfortable, sliding door to upper deck. But the best part was Sharon, the owner! Excellent cook, warm, engaging and kind.
It might be too remote for some but not us. Hopefully there will be an outdoor pool soon as it is getting fixed.
Sharon is an incredible host. The space is beautiful and very comfortable. I felt welcome and at home. The food was great. Really enjoyed my stay here!
Food was great and the owner, Sharon, is very friendly and hospitable. Views and breeze were magnificent!
Recommend using a taxi to reach the property, and Sharon is very helpful in arranging transportation. We often rent cars, but didn't for this stay, which turned out to be fortuitous.
The place itself is very good with lovely view but the road to the house not good.
We expect food and drinks available at all times since it is advertised as a hotel. We arrived a bit late and tired but had to take a taxi again to go and buy a take away. Also our 2nd day, we were not given any juice or water except the half filled coffee shared by 3. Since we were in a hurry to go for our tour we did not bother to ask. We were also told dinner normally served 6-6:30 so we had been waiting hungry as everything closed as it was holiday due to the election, our food serve nearly 8:00pm.
So thoughtfully and meticulously designed for comfort and efficiency. The views are spectacular and every need was catered to and thought of, including the complementary drink and breakfast. Sharon is a delight, a wonderful conversationalist and the consummate hostess.
Nothing
We loved the stay at the Milligan. Sharon was very nice and welcoming, and a great cook! The meals were fresh and healthy. Sharon also helped us a lot with explaining and recommending things about different sightseeing options in St Vincent and the Grenadines. What we loved most about the place was the view of the ocean from the main balcony and the peaceful and quiet location. The house is really surrounded by nature - you will hear a lot of bird noises, cows, goats. The room was very nice and clean.
Not really dislikes, but some things that other travellers might need to be aware of. First, getting around might be difficult. We mostly took the "minivans" to get around during the day (the nearest stops are located on the main highway, which takes 30 minutes of climbing up and down small hills to reach) or sometimes we took a taxi, but those are a little expensive in St Vincent, even for short distances. The minivans were a fun experience and very affordable, but there is not a set schedule, you might need to wait for a while to catch one (some are too full), and the last ones end their workday at around 6PM. In general there a few places that are open after 6PM, some close even earlier. Once the sun sets, life on the main island settles down. If you plan on walking around after the sunset, we suggest bringing a flashlight or a headlamp, since some of the streets will be completely dark, especially the many dirt roads in the area. We still felt very safe, but just be aware that after sunset navigating the area without a source of light might take extra effort. Second, there are not that many restaurants/cafe's a walking distance away, especially ones that are open after 6PM. So it is good to plan ahead and maybe book dinners in the Milligan before the trip, as we did not book and had a hard time finding places for dinner around. In general restaurants are concentrated near yacht clubs and beaches, with just some small local bars found between these "tourist pockets". Third, make sure to use the mosquito nets by the bed, you will get bitten without them!
Loved it!
The quiet location is great if you’re looking to relax. Sharon and Lennox are friendly and welcoming and can help with anything you need. Breakfast and dinner is included and the food is great. They have a preferred driver service that can get you to and from anywhere so don’t bother with a car as the roads are rough and the traffic is a little erratic. There’s an awesome view of the beach and ocean and some land full of cows.
Nothing
It’s a beautiful property with gorgeous views of the sea and surroundings. Such a peaceful and tranquil place. Sharon and Lennox were the best hosts and looked after me so well. The food was delicious. There is no AC but the breeze is lovely and there are fans provided. The bed is super comfy and the attention to detail around the property is clear to see. This is the ideal place to relax and unwind. I can see it being perfect for retreats as well. Sharon and Lennox arranged my taxi pick up and tour around the island with Dejoun and he was fabulous! All in all - an amazing stay.
My only dislike was the fact that I only booked one night here ! I will be back for sure though!
Also wirklich 10 Sterne deluxe! Man fühlt sich wie in einem Haubenlokal.
Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, hat uns aber nicht gestört - leiser Ventilator tat auch seine Dienste.
This is a quiet place to stay, between Kingston and the airport. You will need taxi service to get there. During our stay we were the only ones there. We loved the view of the beach at sunrise. Dinner is provided - we selected local fare and were not disappointed. Breakfast also was good. The owners arranged for a day trip to Brighton Beach (a secluded, beautiful jet-black sand beach) and up the windward side of St Vincent (up to Owia).
Sharon and Lenox were extrordinary! They made sure we got where we were going, and organized tours and travel for us. We always felt safe. The food was magnificent, and served with such creativity and panache- like a five star restaurant. The offereings were always fresh and tasty, and cuisine was traditionally prepared. We learned a lot about the local foods, like callaloo and breadfruit. Warm and welcoming people who catered to our needs. We plan to return. We felt like family!
The lovely warm welcome, location overlooking the sea, amazing food just perfect. Would highly recommend, we stayed here the first night of our trip. Shannon and Lennox are super hosts. Relaxing on the balcony watching the sea was the perfect start to our holiday. Evening meal was so tasty local cuisine and breakfast equally good. Will definitely be back!

🇬🇧 Lovely, authentic place with a beautiful view and great food! 🇫🇮 Ihana, aito majoituspaikka upealla näköalalla ja hyvällä ruualla!
Sharon & Lennox are 2 of the nicest people we have met when we have stayed at hotels. They are warm, friendly and so helpful. Had a great week with them and the time flew by. The meals were great and we were introduced to the local style of cooking. Lennox drove us around the island in a rent car pointing out areas that are not on the tourist routes.
The only issue would be the remoteness of the property and you would need a taxi or a hire car to get around. However I personally would not advise renting a car to drive as the roads are narrow and not well maintained, However, there maybe alternatives and Lennox can advise you
Great food and hosts

We've stayed here before so knew that we would get an excellent welcome. The accommodation is very comfortable. Sharon and Lennox we're both pleased that we had paid a return visit. The food was local and exceptional. Whenever we are back in St Vincent we will be staying here It was just for one night before travelling on to our final destination, Bequia.
Lovely property with great views over the Atlantic. It’s a very quiet spot. Sharon and Lennox are a delightful, friendly and welcoming couple. Lennox is also a very good cook. You will get a very authentic Caribbean experience if you stay here. Lennox also very kindly took us around St Vincent to see the island much of which is still unspoilt.
It’s not a dislike as such but the location of the property is somewhat off the main road so you will need a hire car or taxi to get here and then to get around. There is no public transport as such.
My wife and I enjoyed the excellent service provided by the staff as well as the lovely food that was prepared. Our room was decorated for our honeymoon and the ambience of the space complimented our purpose for being there.
The proprietors of the property are amazing and hospitable people who accepted to offer their kind hospitality right after hurricane Beryl and the whole area was without power. That was extremely kind of them at a time of room shortages on the island. They were most helpful all along till we were well on our way to the airport.
No Air conditioning as there was no power because of the hurricane. The island had suffered power failures and parts of it were without power of telecoms or even mobiles.
Fantastic location, fantastic hosts, comfortable rooms. But my favourite has to be the food. Wonderful locally sourced authentic Caribbean food!!! High recommended and I will be back!!!!!
Best stay, we were greeted by our exceptional hosts Lennox and Sharon… the meals were definitely prepared with love, views were aesthetic
Finding the location was a bit of a challenge because of it being secluded
Sharon and Lenox are the reason that I will return to St ' Vincent and only stay at the Milligan. From the initial contact on Booking.com I was made to feel very comfortable with the entire process. You'll feel your at home with a couple of friends that are willing to tend to your every need. We really enjoyed just sitting with them in the evening and watching the moon rise over the horizon. The views from the back deck are so relaxing you won't want to leave. Thank you Sharon and Lenox for treating us like family.
We had a fabulous 3 day stay at The Milligan. Sharon and Lennox are the perfect hosts. Their beautiful small boutique guest house is well appointed, clean, large comfy bed, big bathroom with fluffy, white, soft, towels and high quality toiletries. The meals are to die for, nutritious, organic, delicious and culturally inspired. Drinks are priced very reasonably. In order to explore the island Sharon & Lennox suggested we hire a car and Lennox offered to drive us and be our guide. He took us all around the island, to places where tourists don’t go, so that we could see the ‘real’ SVG. The roads are narrow, up and down hills and full of pot holes. We were so glad that Lennox was driving. I highly recommend The Milligan, you will nit be disappointed.
It was all positive.
What a lovely place, my wife and I spent very pleasant and welcoming days. Sharon and Lenox were attentive to us at all times and took us to see charming places on the island. The food is homemade which made our trip much more welcoming.
Wunderbare Gastgeber. Auch das Essen war sehr fein. Wir wählten lokale Küche! Das Haus ist mit sehr viel Geschmack gestaltet, hell, luftig, einfach perfekt.
Our hosts were exceptional, as was the food, as were the views and what they plan to do with the place. Nothing was too much trouble and they both put themselves out to ensure our stay was enjoyed beyond expectation.
Maybe would have preferred air con in our bedroom given it was our first night in the tropics, but we managed just fine.
Very enjoyable stay. Hosts were lovely and very friendly.
Nothing springs to mind.
Everything, the location, the couple Sharon and Lennox who own and run it, the rooms. The price included a wonderful dinner and breakfast made by them both.
Loved it all.
Sharon and Lennox are incredible! I felt so at home. It was like staying with good friends. Super knowledgeable about St Vincent and so fun to chat with. I shared what activities I was interested in and they coordinated everything, which allowed me to sit back and relax as everything was taken care of. Beautiful property as well, recently designed with gorgeous features. An incredible view out to the ocean and I could hear the waves crashing as I fell asleep. Absolutely amazing food - they are phenomenal chefs. I loved that I got to try so many quintessential Caribbean dishes made with local ingredients (breadfruit, jack fish, soursop, guava, roti, etc). Fresh pina coladas made from scratch!

Where to start? Sharon and Lennox are the best! And The Milligan is the best place to stay on the whole Island. Gorgeous view, best food that can be imagined, and the company of Sharon and Lennox - what's not to love? We lucked out on our days of travel as it was a holiday so as we were able to meet their friends, sit in back yards sipping beer and eating grilled lobster, and chatting. And the view is unparalleled. We feel we have become friends in this short time,
I didn't like that I had to leave ha ha ha ha.
Lovely and such nice people
Comfort and style
Sharon & Lennox couldn’t do enough to make us feel so welcome. Views were incredible & the whole atmosphere was so relaxed. They went over & beyond to ensure our stay was fabulous.
If I had to say one thing & it’s only a small personal thing, a tea & coffee tray in the room would be nice.
The place is very nice with great views over the ocean. The location is quite remote. The main way to leave the house is by transfer arranged by the hosts. To do it other ways is complicated. The hosts are willing to help but sometimes can be a bit overwhelming for them since they are doing everything: cooking, serving, driving, guiding and many others. The food was tasty and local. We appreciated the details about locals and how they are living. Also, they were willing to help with organizing trips. I mention Sharon took care of our trip to Tobago Cays(not a common trip from St Vincent island), she got in contact with the agency and arranged everything for us. We appreciated it!
No public transportation available nearby and the location is not very easy to access. I would appreciate a bit more transparency on the costs of additional services provided: transfers, guided tours.
Sharon and Lennox are great hosts they made the stay like being at home. Great food cooked by both. Great view of Brighton Bay and you could watch the planes landing at the airport. Had a lovely time
Nothing
Sharon and Lennox are the lovely owners and managers. They’re developing a lovely property in a lovely position overlooking the wild beaches of the east coast, and doing a fabulous job of it. Great communication with Sharon throughout the run up to the booking and right though. Lovely welcome, great local cuisine dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room with great view and large bed and bathroom. All very clean and tasteful.
It’s a slow bumpy road off the main drag to get to the property, and Debbie, our driver, was extremely cautious so it took a long time to get there even though it’s only a kilometre down the hill. The property is not in the middle of a lot of land and protected by trees so you can see other houses next door but they are developing the garden and a pool and bar in the front of the house facing the sea which will be great and more intimate
Everything. The people the location and view, the food and quality of accommodation. Sharon and Lennox could not have done anything more to make us feel welcome and at home, excellent hosts, attentive but not intrusive. We only stayed the one night but would have been happy to have been able to stay longer. We arrived from the airport late afternoon and could not have picked a more relaxing place to stay. The food was exceptional and a good reintroduction to flavours of the Caribbean. Very sorry to leave when we travelled on to another island the next day, definitely one to remember.
Nothing.
Sharon and Lennox were amazing hosts and lovely people. They could not have done more for us. We loved the traditional caribbean cusine and really appreciated the location, away from town and the tourist drag. Whilst that might not be for everyone, for us it was an amazing place to start and and finish our visit to SVG (note this review will be duplicated on the other booking as well) They provided fantastic advice on how to get the most out of trip to SVG including some amazing one off recommendations for locations to visit on St Vincent. We are convinced we would not have found or thought to see if we had not met them. We really appreciated the boutique BnB feel they have created and the added dinner to breakfast is great.
We went during the shoulder. Some of the facilities, such as the bar, were still in preseason maintenance however this didnt impact our visit at all.
Our stay at the Milligan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped out of the airport where we were welcomed by the driver of the hotel, throughout the entire stay, we felt like valued guests. Sharon and Lennox were not just professional but incredibly kind and fun. The hotel has a nice Caribbean air, including a garden and a terrace that offers a stunning view of the beach. Comfortable and cozy rooms, delicious breakfasts and dinners with traditional dishes and local ingredients cooked by the hosts - the warmth of this place was unmatched. What also set this hotel apart, was the dedication to providing a local experience. Sharon and Lennox's guidance and recommendations led us to many hidden gems and hikes, to the best rum punch in St Vincent, and to local eateries and clubs that we would have otherwise missed and that truly showcased the heart and soul of St Vincent.
Very smart modern accommodation with great facilities, a fantastic evening meal and breakfast and lovely hosts
Nothing!
Very good it was great thanks. Nice dinner great room
It was all fabulous, whether you're staying here for 1 night or 1 week it is the perfect setting with the most wonderful hosts. Sharon & Lennox couldn't do enough for us. Their food & hospitality is outstanding, we are already considering adding another stop over here at the end of our trip.
Peacefulness.
Lack of easy access to transportation. Rough road.
The breakfast was very good with an excellent layout, there was flexibility in the serving time. We also enjoy fresh local fruits available. They was much planning in providing a mixture of local and continental breakfast
There was nothing we were unhappy about
It was beautiful. The view of the ocean and the beach was amazing. There was a wonderful breeze the cooled everything down. The food was excellent. Sharon and Lennox were excellent host. We spent the evening talking. They were so interesting and engaging.
Nothing. It doesn’t have ac but the constant breeze was very comfortable.
Sharon and Lenox were marvellous hosts providing a delicious dinner and breakfast. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Despite no AC, the constant breeze was sufficient for a very comfortable night. Also, we visited the local beach at Brighton Salt Pond which was beautiful and made for a truly authentic Caribbean experience.
The location is somewhat off the beaten track without a paved road, so aside from the beach, there is not much else around. That said, it made for a bit of an adventure locating the hotel and were rewarded with wonderful hospitality and a wonderfully calm and tranquil stay
This was more an experience than an accommodation. We felt like in heaven with the owners cooking just for us. We chose to eat local food and got a great variety of dishes. The rooms are spacious, clean, well ventilated and beautiful. Astonishing views of Brighton bay. Sharon and Lennox are the ideal hosts as they give you the attention you need.
The food was so good, that we did not manage to make one picture of it before having a bite.
The Owners were so helpful and friendly and provided some great local knowledge and took us to the local beach which had great facilities. A truly fab experience. Breakfast and evening meals were so tasty!
Spotlessly clean, spacious room with lots of light and the most comfortable bed of our whole trip. Sharon arranged our taxi from the airport, and after a little time to get settled we were treated to welcome drinks and a beautiful home cooked meal. The pictures really don't do this place justice. It's in a peaceful and safe location, only 10 minutes walk from Brighton beach. Breakfast was great with the opportunity to try local specialties, Lennox gave recipes and showed me what to buy in the market to recreate them. If we go back to St Vincent the Milligan will be our first choice.
No complaints at all
It was wonderful talking with Sharon, and Lennus was an attentive chef, cooking local food as requested. His homemade bread, Pina colada, smoothies and grilled pork were especially excellent. The view of the sea was lovely. It was located far from the regular tourist locations, so was quiet, and a good place to relax and unwind. The road to get there was sometimes quite rough and rocky. We had a nice walk to Brighton Beach (black sand.) The hosts made certain we knew the way by walking with us for part of the way.
clean, spacious, light and airy. Great space to chill and enjoy the magnificent view from the terrace. Sharon the owner was an absolute highlight
