A fridge in the room would have been nice. The shower in room 402 needs replacing hose to short and shower head has a terrible leak. Due to short hose you could not stand under it, or hold it higher.

The location is brilliant. 20 steps to the beach. The restaurant and the staff are all great and the hotel atmosphere is excellent.

The rooms are small and have no AC. It was sunny but wasn’t very hot outside when we stayed but the room was too warm for comfort at night. There was a fan provided but it was still warm. If it was a hot summer day I don’t think I would have slept.

Clean close to the beach front staff were brilliant

Bang on the beachfront, which happens to be one of the best beaches in the world. Mobility access was good. It had the feel of an owner managed place, although it was part of a small group. A proper holiday hotel.

The room was cramped, but set against value for money, that is to be expected. The bed was two singles combined, and a bit uneven where we tended to fall into the middle. No air conditioning. The balcony access was a high step and the balcony door lock was inoperable. The lift was “boutique”. We would return here and consider a room upgrade.

The staff service was the best I’ve come across. The staff throughout were impeccably trained. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. Mo-Jo was a delight. The food in the restaurant was really good. The location was wonderful.

Tolle Lage direkt an einem wunderschönen Strand. Bushaltestelle vor dem Hotel. Tee, Kaffee und täglich Süßigkeiten am Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück (Speisen wurden auf Bestellung gratis serviert).

Wenig Platz für Handtücher im Bad. Sehr alter Lift. Trotz Lift musste man einge Stufen zum Zimmer gehen. Badetücher für den Strand waren extra zu bezahlen. Nur wenige, eher teure Gasthäuser im Ort.

I did not get what I paid for. The two rooms were totally different and were supposed to be the same level I had requested the rooms be next door to each other and was told that request was granted, The rooms were not adjacent and were on floor one and four

breakfast was good. A very good selection. Staff were attentive.

We were boiling hot. There was no aircon and we had to keep the curtains pulled in the day to try to stay a bit cool. I had to have ice baths it was that hot and none of us slept. Awful experience.

The Golden Sands is, in my view, the classic seaside hotel. Right on the beach in one of the most beautiful bays in the UK. The hotel is very comfortable with great staff. We only had breakfast, which was fine, and I’m sure the dining is a high standard. Tue facilities are rudimentary but the beach more than compensates for anything lacking inside. We loved it.

No air-con. It was hot at night even though we were supplied with a decent fan.

Beautiful hotel...right on the beach....Loved sleeping with balcony doors open,with the sound of the sea to get me to sleep...total dream.

Maybe if the lounge area was a bit bigger....so you could sit with a drink....felf very small at times when busy

Wir hatten ein paar ziemlich heisse Tage erwischt, so dass ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer toll gewesen wäre.

Staff were all wonderful. Location superb too.

We loved everything about our stay. The staff are wonderful- friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel and its surroundings is stunning. The facilities are great. The food and beverages are delicious. We will definitely be back.

It would be fab if the hotel had a private parking area for hotel guests so we didn’t have to pay for parking. But I do appreciate that there is very little room for parking at St Brelades.

On the beach

The beautiful beach is great for a walk, relaxing on a sun bed and of course making sandcastles. The RNLI are in attendance for a safe swimming. Other activities available paddle boarding, canoes and powerboat rides. Hotel right on a bus route making easy access to the rest of the Jersey.

Heerlijk ontbijt, schone kamers en top restaurant. Prachtig zeezicht vanuit de kamer. Strand is erg fijn. We raden het zeker aan!

Airco was prettig geweest, ventilatoren laat je niet de hele tijd aan ‘s nachts en hielpen onvoldoende. Ook was de wifi niet super in de kamer. Verder had ik het hotel vooraf gemaild en duurde het lang voordat ik een reactie ontving.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Die Lage am Strand war sehr schön, und das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich. Essen im Restaurant sehr gut.

Keine Klimaanlage, kein Kühlschrank, Balkon sehr klein und das Zimmer für den Preis zu teuer. Man konnte schlecht lüften, kleine Tür zum Balkon.

Twice during my stay the self service hot breakfast items were not ready on time, but the quality of the food was outstanding. The views from the restaurant are superb and the staff cannot do enough for you.

Slight delay being served during busy periods as the hotel is so popular with guests and non-residents.

Location on beach was beautiful and convenient for restaurants/bus/walking- staff on reception were delightful- appreciated being able to leave luggage/ change before leaving.

Room was near road and it was noisy with traffic very early in morning. Room was upstairs and was very hot despite fan. Above us we were kept awake/ woken by guests stomping about very late and early - need more insulation We eat dinner once as it was pricey and not enough food on plate - stingy portions. We eat breakfast once - came in just before10am and there wasn't coffee / toast etc available and we were being hurried yet still paid £18 each - poor value especially as the restaurant is open constantly for coffee etc

Location is incredible right in the beach with amazing views. The staff were so helpful in a situation where ferry’s were cancelled they extended our stay in the same room and couldnt have been more helpful.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und haben die tolle Aussicht sehr genossen. Das Hotelzimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und ruhig. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und zwar vom ersten bis zum letzten Augenblick. Das Hotel-eigene Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert.

Es gibt nichts, was wir bemängeln könnten. Alles bestens.

Where do I begin? I liked everything. The staff were exceptional. World class customer service! The room we had (family room) was extremely spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy. They had an on site restaurant that served a nice spread of breakfast in the morning for guests. Open to external customers for lunch and dinner. The hotel is located ocean front with St. Brelades beach right on the doorstep. Amazing beach, views and walks. Bus stop is right outside the hotel. There’s parking right opposite the hotel. I also liked that they had sand toys for kids to borrow take to the beach. The hotel made our Jersey visit very special. Would return in a heartbeat.

The property was immaculate. So clean and such a great location. The best thing about this hotel was the hotel staff, they were incredible, always greeted you with a smile and were extremely helpful.

The location is right on the beach. The very friendly staff. Not far from the airport. Bus stop a few metres away. Great restaurant.

Friendly welcoming staff, lovely food (had breakfast everyday and booked an evening meal which was lovely). Room was good size well kept and views were fantastic). Stayed off season so nice and quiet.

Had asked for info on bike rental before arriving and was provided with full information. Upon arriving I was given a card of the place. It’s the little things!

The view from our balcony was stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was good. We will definitely stay there again.

We are not a fan of cooked breakfasts that are served buffet style, bacon and eggs are much better freshly cooked. Having said that it wouldn't prevent us from staying there again and there are a few items that are freshly cooked like eggs benedict and eggs royale.

Paid over £500 for 2 night stay .Room was small, no robes ,slippers or small fridge an the room decor needs refreshing.

Breakfast catered for every taste and delicious.The room was big enough, clean and comfortable with fabulous views, but the only thing missing was a fridge. Just somewhere to keep drinks cold would have been so much better. Good selection of food for the evening meal, well cooked and presented. They fit us all in for a meal, 5 adults and 3 children without much notice. Very amenable. Maybe we needed to upgrade for a fridge ?
