Lage direkt am Eingang des Wilpattu National Park; Organisation Safari (mit Leopard-Sichtung) und Weitertransport; die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfreich, bemüht und freundlich. Top.

We were right next to the main entrance to Wilpattu Park which meant we were first in the queue to get in, we saw an elephant within minutes of being in the park, we also saw a leopard and loads of other animals. We went on the night safari and saw a Loris and a Serpent Eagle and lots of other things too, it was an amazing experience. The food was fantastic and the owners were lovely. We had an excellent time here. The owner took some great photos and sent them to us as we only had our mobile phone cameras. Great service from start to finish.

Todo Increible, la familia que lo regenta son extraordinarios, nos organizaron el safari y fue nuestro guía, hizo todo lo posible porque viéramos el Leopardo y 10 minutos antes de irnos del parque consiguió a toda pastilla llevarnos hasta el y fue emocionante. El desayuno te lo preparan para el safari, también te dan a media mañana un snack y por la tarde otro snack tipo merienda. Nos ofreció si queríamos que nos preparase la cena y fue todo un acierto después del safari, comida hecha por ellos mismos y muy abundante.

Todo , sin duda siempre eligiria Mookalan! Familia encantadora!

Our hostess, Bodika, host Leel & family were delightful. Our room & linen very clean. Dinner & breakfast was delicious The location & facilities were great value. Our guided safari tour of Wilpattu National Park with Leel was underwhelming as very hot, dry so the viewing of animals were scarce but the highlight was seeing the most beautiful leopard

Мы приехали рано и до заселения оставалось 3 часа. Я решила написать, что мы приехали. Хозяйка появилась через 5 минут и спокойно заселила нас раньше времени, угостив нас с мужем вкусным соком. Приготовили для нас вкусный ужин и красиво сервировали стол. У меня был день рождения и хозяева отеля подарили мне вкусные печенья и роскошный букет цветов. В номере все чисто. На территории тоже все чисто и красиво. Есть все необходимое: чайник, чай, кофе, молоко, сахар. Маленький холодильник. В душе есть горячая вода. На кроватях балдахины от маскитов (маскитов не было, но вид прекрасный) Отдельная благодарность за хороший черный кофе!!! (ни в одном отеле, где я была до этого не было такого)❤️❤️❤️❤️ От всей души благодарю хозяйку отеля, всю ее семью и всех, кто помогал ей. Мой муж также благодарит вас за все🙏🙏🙏 Я обязательно приеду снова Желаю процветания, мира и всех благ❤️🙏❤️🙏

Great small hotel in the forest next to wilpattu gate. You can see monkeys next to bungalow and walk by the lake. Even before entering the park you can see elephants, deers, hornbills ans crocs. The owner was very nice, the beds with mosquito nets were comfortable. Great place.

Sehr sauberes kleines Resort in einer Top Lage, fußläufig zum Park. Der Besitzer und seine Familie waren sehr herzlich. Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen, es gab ein Sri Lanka Curry, welches super war. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet. wir haben auch die MorgenSafari über das Ressort gebucht. Wir konnten zu Fuß zum Eingang laufen, dort war unser Jeep bereits geparkt und stand an zweiter Stelle. Das war natürlich toll. Direkt neben dem Ressort gab es einen See, an welchem wir auch einen Elefanten gesehen haben. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort buchen.

The team of Mookalan resort is very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast and the dinner was very tasty. During breakfast we saw many butterflys, birds, chipmunks and monkeys in the garden, which was really nice. We did a safari with the Mookalan resort and it was perfectly organized. Our driver was waiting in front of the jeep line in the morning to be the first one im the park. He is a very good driver and he was trying his best to find a Leopard for us. First there was no Leopard, so he showed us a lot of other animals. In the very end there was a Leopard and he extended the tour to make us happy and his driving skills saved a good spot for us to see the leopard. We were a little late after the tour so they managed to give us a late check out, which was really nice. We would always recommend to stay here and do a safari tour with the driver of mookalan resort.

El lujo de este hotel está en la familia que lo lleva, el trato desde el primer mensaje hasta el día de irnos fuese excelente. El safari de noche y de día completo no pudo ser mejor. Y mención especial a la increíble comida que nos prepararon para cenar y el safari. Estancia de 10.

Wat hebben wij hier een fantastisch verblijf gehad: kamer is top voor ons 4. Koelkast, thee-en loffiefaciliteiten, Aarco en muskietennetten, wat er ook gezellig uitziet. Hele leuke buitenzit. De route naar de accommodatie toe is al een klein avontuur. De lokatie is helemaal geweldig, direct naast de entree van Wilpattu en naast een meer waar je zelf heen mag lopen (1 minuut) en waar we dus direct krokodillen en olifanten hebben gezien! 2x diner gehad: tafel werd volgezet met allemaal schaaltjes. Het was heerlijk! En lekker een koud colaatje of sapje erbij! De ontzettende vriendelijke meneer van de accommodatie is ook onze driver en gids de volgende safari dag. Deze dag is ook helemaal geweldig: onwijs veel dieren gespot, zelfs 3e een luipaard, lekker ontbijt en lunch gehad in de jeep (hele grote jeep, veel beweegruimte) De prijs/kwaliteit van de accommodatie en safari is echt geweldig vinden wij. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van dit verblijf met deze hele vriendelijke, lieve mensen die zelfs een taart hadden geregeld voor onze dochter die 10 jaar werd. En ze gingen zelfs Happy Birthday zingen. Een onvergetelijk verblijf! 🙏

Tolle Lage, direkt am Eingang vom Nationalpark. Abendessen sehr lecker und riesige Portionen. Besitzer unglaublich herzlich und bemüht! Hat unsere Safari organisiert & extra um fast eine Stunde verlängert, da wir leider keine Elefanten oder Leoparden finden konnten. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis top!

De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren was top, wat een lieve mensen. De locatie is geweldig; na het parkeren van onze tuktuk liepen we over een paadje de jungle in tot we bij ons huisje uitkwamen. Heerlijke Rice & curry als diner (beste tot nu toe in Sri Lanka) en een lekker ontbijt. De safari door Wilpattu National Park was een absoluut hoogtepunt en is het geld meer dan waard. De man van het Mookalan Resort is de beste chauffeur van Wilpattu en kent alle sluiproutes door het park, waardoor we heel veel dieren hebben gezien (luipaard!, olifanten, krokodillen, mangoesten, waterbuffels, leguanen, jakhalzen en nog veel meer) en de compleet verzorgde lunch tijdens onze day-safari was spectaculair.

Locatie vlakbij de ingang van het park, met een gepassioneerde en ervaren safarichauffeur. Hij deed zijn uiterste best ons een goede safari-ervaring te bezorgen, hetgeen zeker gelukt is. Het avondeten is ook heel erg aan te bevelen!

Niet altijd gemakkelijk communiceren door beperkte kennis van Engels, maar met wat goede wil lukt het wel.

Heerlijk rustige plek, ligt direct bij de ingang van het park en aan het meer, zodat je zelf alvast wat wildlife kunt spotten. Zeer vriendelijke mensen en diner is heerlijk. We hebben ook de safari gedaan via hen, goed geregeld. Zeker een aanrader.

Ala je de badkamer instapt heb je eerst de douche en daarna het toilet. Dus na het douchen heb je natte voeten als je naar de wc gaat.

Fijn verblijf letterlijk naast de ingang van het national park. Eigenaar verzorgt een heerlijke avondmaal en ontbijt!

Het aardige personeel, wij waren iets eerder dan ik het door gegeven. Na een belletje kwam de zoon ons verwelkomen! Die vertelde dat we ook met zonsondergang naar het meer naast de huisjes konden wandelen, hier zagen we een prachtige zonsondergang. We hadden avond eten bij de accommodatie en dit was ook heerlijk! De vader kwam dit brengen en alles was tot op de puntjes verzorgd. De volgende dag hadden we ook een full day safari geboekt. Deze hadden we met de vader en we hebben zelfs 3 keer een luipaard gezien! De safari was prachtig en was verzorgd met eten, drinken en snacks.

De badkamer is wel echt Azië.. maarja dat kan je ook verwachten midden in de natuur, wij werden vergezeld met een kikker en een rupsje:)

Very cosy and right next to the entrance of the Wilpattu national park so very convenient. The place is cosy and spacious rooms. Great breakfast and dinner. The owner who also run the safari tour was the kindest person ever. He was also the best tourguide during the safari and knew how to spot all sorts of animals including the leopard.

De locatie is super. Naast entree van het park. Ook het eten was geweldig. Het beste eten tot nu toe dat we in Sri Lanka hebben gehad. Tijdens de safari georganiseerd door de eigenaar kregen we een heerlijk ontbijt , snacks, een geweldige lunch en drinken. De eigenaren zijn super aardig en willen alles regelen. Kamers zijn schoon, lekker warm water en prima bedden.

Vlakbij de ingang van het nationale park. Waren binnen 1 minuut bij de poort en 10 minuten later al dieren aan het spotten. Ontbijt was erg goed geregeld en personeel was erg vriendelijk.

Douche en wc waren op 1 kamer verkeerd om aangelegd. Prima te doen maar wel alles nat.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Mokaalan Resort! The entire family was super friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was also wonderful. The absolute highlight of our trip, however, was the full-day safari. The hotel owner drove us himself and put so much effort into finding wildlife—we were even lucky enough to see two leopards! On top of that, the food provided during the safari was excellent and perfectly organized. The only minor downside was that English wasn't spoken particularly well, so we would have loved to learn a bit more about the nature and the animals during the safari. When we departed, they drove us to the bus station on the main road and made sure we got onto the right bus safely. We highly recommend this resort from the bottom of our hearts and would love to come back anytime..

Everything fine!

Enorm gastvrij, bij aankomst werd gelijk aangeboden of we wilden avondeten. Niet veel later stond er een heerlijke maaltijd op tafel. De bedden lagen heerlijk en voldeden aan alle wensen. De volgende ochtend stond een ochtendsafari gepland. Leel (de eigenaar) was gemotiveerd om ons zoveel mogelijk te laten zien en dat is hem enorm goed gelukt! Al heel vroeg zagen we een olifant, waterbuffels en aapjes. Rond 08:00 gingen alle jeeps klaarmaken voor ontbijt, maar wij gingen door. En daar was dan het moment, we reden een doodlopend zandpad in en zagen in de verte een luipaard lopen. Onze safari kon niet meer stuk en ook Leel was mega blij en trots.

I’ve used Booking.com for 10 years and have never written a review before, but this family and accommodation deserve every one of their 10/10 stars and more. If you’re visiting Wilpattu, stay here. It was the highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and set right beside a beautiful lake you can visit on your own at the entrance to the National Park, where you can swim and spot wildlife including hornbills and many other birds, elephants, crocodiles, and deer. Leel organised and guided our safari himself with incredible knowledge and care. As a local who quite literally lives in the backyard of the National Park, he helped us find amazing wildlife, and knew all the spots to find water buffalo, leopards, elephants, and even a sloth bear. Given the proximity, we were literally first into the Park in the morning. Organise your safari with them directly for an affordable and excellent experience. The food prepared by Leel’s wife was absolutely delicious and incredibly generous. Their son speaks excellent English and is a total delight. We were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness that we left feeling like friends rather than guests. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for an unforgettable stay and we will cherish these memories for years to come!

It’s a real shame we can’t take the family, and the Wilpattu Mookalan Resort and Safari back to Australia with us.

This homestay was so lovely and the family that run it will go above and beyond. True Sri Lankan hospitality. Amazing home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner & meals and snacks for our safari. So much food, we could never eat it all. Leel took us on the full day safari and drove us to every spot in the park to find animals, we spotted Leopard, elephant, crocodile, golden jackel, water buffalo, deer, monkeys, mongoose, lots of beautiful birds, even when we had to race for time to get out of the park, he drove like a F1 driver to get us to see the Leopard,. We made it to the exit gate with 4 mins to spare, covered in dust from head to toe.🤣😂😅 It was an amazing experience. Thank you Leel and to your beautiful wife for her delicious cooking and to your son for his fantastic, prompt communication via whatsapp. We had such a memorable stay.

Our daughter would say the mosquito's, but hey they love her any country we go.

La localisation est parfaite avec le parc, nous avons fait le safari avec l’hôtel. C’était top car nous avons pu partir tôt et donc avoir la chance de voir plusieurs fois des Léopards ! De plus les chambres sont biens, propres et la Clim. Le petit déjeuner et dîner sont très bien aussi

De gastvrijheid van de meneer en zijn zoon waren geweldig. Er was prima eten gemaakt en een top Safari met hem gemaakt. Zijn enthousiasme was aanstekelijk. Very lucky , 4x Leopards!

La familia que lo gestiona es encantadora y la habitacion muy confortable muy cerca del parque nacional y ellos gestionan el acceso y contratacion del Jeep a un precio muy bueno. La cena que nos prepararon estaba riquisima! Muy recomendable

Todo estaba muy correcto y en base a las expectativas

Ubicación perfecta justo a la entrada del PN de Wilpattu. Habitación con AC que funcionaba bastante bien, las camas eran dobles, amplias y cómodas. Buena limpieza y disponibilidad de los anfitriones que pesar de las dificultades con el inglés estuvieron atentos en todo momento. Recomiendo especialmente la cena, sin duda el mejor curry de pollo, lo comí en este sitio. Cantidades copiosas, comida casera preparada con esmero y con unos sabores y aromas impresionantes. El desayuno era variado y abundante también. En cuanto al safari que realizamos, la experiencia fue fantástica y nuestro guía hizo todo lo posible para ver la fauna del parque. La magnifica calidad humana de los anfitriones es lo que marca la diferencia.

Como sugerencia recomendaría que de cara al futuro ofrecieran más variedad de bebidas.

Lovely accommodation just steps from Wilpattu NP entrance. From start to finish our stay was amazing. Lillle was our host and tour guide and he was fantastic. We saw so much wildlife: 3 kinds of deer, water buffalo, crocodiles, jackal, elephants, mongoose, 2 kinds of monkeys, countless species of birds and butterflies and a leopard! The food was plentiful and delicious. The AC and wifi worked very well. Also, there’s a lake just next to the property where you can walk around to spot even more wildlife. I highly recommend staying here.

Es ist eine super Oase in der Ruhe, direkt am Eingang des Wilpattu Nationalparks. Die Zimmer sind super klimatisiert, der süsse Kühlschrank komplett ausreichend und die Betten sehr bequem. Die Familie ist soooo lovely freundlich. Bin selber Travelagent und habe in 25 Jahren selten so eine nette Familie kennengelernt. Sie kümmern sich sehr, fast schon zu viel, um einen. Dass ist schön, aber kein Muss. Toll aber. Das Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Eierschnittchen mega lecker. Auch das mit der Kokusfüllung, die Früchte, den Fried Rice oder Noodles zum Abendessen. Es ist sehr viel komplett satt machend. Sie führen auch preiswerte Touren in den Park. Wir sahen schon beim der ersten und einzigsten Tour 2 Leoparden, 2 Lippenbären, 2 Schakale, Krokodile, viele viele tolle bunte Vögel. Der Preis war sehr gut und wir hatten privat zu 3.viel Spass, während andere Autos vollgestopft waren mit vielen Touris :-). Soundkulisse ist gigantisch. Auch kann man am See etwas spazieren gehen. Allein da sieht man schon genug tolle Tiere. Sind sehr flexibel mit allem. Tausend Dank für das herzliche Aufnehmen. Tipp: mit dem Zug ab Colombo Fort bis Thambuttegama und dann für 4000-5000 LKR bis zur Lodge by TukTuk. Kann man alles selber machen. Leicht und einfach. Wir wünschen der Familie alles gute und hoffen das nicht so unfreundliche Bürger wie die US/Chinesin die mit un da war, sie besuchen. Nur freundliche und liebe Gäste, Tausend Dank

Das besonders ungewöhnlich heisse Klima. Idee von uns: grosse Wasserbehälter aufstellen für alle Gäste, wo man sich gemeinsam Wasser abfüllt. Spart kleine Flaschen und rettet den Planeten.

Fantastisch verblijf! Dichter bij het national park van Wilpattu kan niet. Goed verzorgde kamers, comfortabel en schoon. Erg mooi verblijf. Maar het toppunt zijn de eigenaren! Lille en zijn vrouw. Wat een aardige en hardwerkende mensen. Lille is meteen onze gids geweest voor de Safari, en wat kan hij dit goed. Hij weet alle spots en doet enorm zijn best om ervoor te zorgen dat je zoveel mogelijk ziet. Hij heeft echt enorm goede ogen, ziet verborgen dieren die wij alleen met een verrekijker konden zien. Het enige dier wat wij helaas niet hadden gezien was de luipaard, en Lille vond dat heel erg voor ons. Terwijl wij duidelijk zagen hoe erg hij zijn best deed. En door hem hebben we wel alle andere dieren in het park erg vaak gezien. We hebben zelfs geluncht naast een badende olifant. Al het eten wordt verzorgd door de vrouw van Lille, in de ochtend een lekker ontbijt met veel fruit, yogurt, pannenkoeken, ei. Tijdens de Safari kregen wij zelfs een lunch van Rice and curry, en nog meer fruit! We zagen andere jeeps waar mensen broodjes kregen als lunch uit een kartonnen doosje, maar wij kregen zowaar een echt grote heerlijke maaltijd. Als avond eten kon je weer fantastische rice en curry krijgen en noodles. Met enorm veel bijgerechten. Kip, aardappelen, veel groenten, bonen met veel knoflook, en nog een soort van pittige bonen (absoluut het lekkerste!) Het waren altijd grote hoeveelheden. Je zult hier geen honger leiden. Al met al een geweldig verblijf, je zult geen spijt hebben van het boeken. Als we ooit weer naar Wilpattu komen dan verblijven wij zeker weer hier!

The hosts were very helpful, caring, and kind people. The rooms are simple and have everything you need. Having a kettle and some coffee in the room was great. The WiFi connection was also very good, the surroundings green and calm. The dinner meals were big and tasty, the breakfast as well. We really enjoyed our stay and a visit to the Wilpattu National Park.

Everything was good

Het is een heerlijke kleinschalige homestay direct naast de ingang van het Nationaal Park. We vonden de kamer heel comfortabel met de klamboes om de bedden. De airco werkte goed en de straal van de douche is stevig en heerlijk warm. Die heb je wel nodig na een dagje safari. Het terras is ook fijn liggend in het groen wat 's avonds leuk verlicht wordt. Er zijn veel vogels te horen. We hadden een fantastische dag safari met de eigenaar. Hij deed echt gepassioneerd zijn best om zo veel mogelijk dieren te laten zien en was dan ook erg enthousiast als dat lukte. We hadden het geluk om een luipaard van vlakbij te spotten, 2 lippenberen te zien, waarvan 1 zich zelfs uitgebreid ging wassen naast de auto en 2 olifanten te zien in en bij het water. Daarnaast nog een krokodil, goudjakhals en vele vogels. Neem vooral de hele dag safari, want anders moet je al snel weer dezelfde weg terug. Het is een prachtig groen park. De wegen zijn wel erg hobbelig. De lunch die we onderweg kregen bij het meer met uitzicht op de olifant was heerlijk en overvloedig. Snacks en drinken tussendoor waren ook goed. Het meer vlakbij is prachtig bij zonsondergang. Je hebt dan ook de mogelijkheid om olifanten of krokodillen te spotten aan de andere kant, maar wij hebben die niet gezien.

Location was perfect, right at the gates of the park. Room was basic but very functional. Loved the location tucked away down a little path so you really feel like you're in the forest. They organised a safari for us which was great and the food was delicious too. Note they provide a small bottle of pepsi and water with dinner but no other drinks available and it's far from restaurants or shops so better to go prepared.

If you like to stay close to nature, you could not find a better place. Breakfast and dinner was served just outside the room and with the jungle just outside, like a dream. The family running this place are the friendliest people you could imagine. We went on a night safari outside the park and a full day safari inside the park. Both are were great and we saw a lot of different animals, including two leopards. I would definitly stay here again if I come back to Wilpattu.

Perfekt beliggenhed og virkelig søde værter. Safarien var virkelig god og vi så alle de dyr vi havde drømt om. Køleskab på værelset var rigtig godt. Maden var helt fantastisk!

Der var indelukket og meget dårlig luft på værelset og fanen virkede ikke. Og for mange myg til at man kan lade døren stå åben.

Absolutely brilliant stay. The people are so very friendly and so lovely with my children. De room itself is clean and had plenty of space for the four of us. The bathroom was proper and has a good shower. The food was also great and abundant. We saw plenty animals just walking around the premises and the lake (Crocodiles, deer, monkeys, birds). The safari with Nisal was really the cherry on top. We got to see three different leopards, two elephants and many, many other animals. Nisal was also respectful of the animals which is important to me. We were so incredibly happy with our stay here, I would recommend it to anyone.

This was a lovely place right next to the entrance to Wilpattu Safari Park. The owner was friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights and ate an evening meal both nights, the food was very tasty and the portions were huge. The rooms were basic but had everything you needed. We organised a full day safari (at extra reasonable cost) via the accommodation and I would highly recommend this. We had a great day out with all food and drinks provided included in the price. We saw two leopards, elephants, jackals, crocodiles, mongoose and many birds.

Wilpattu Mookalan Resort was the perfect base for our adventures in Wilpattu National Park. Our hosts were so kind and hospitable, providing incredible dinners the two nights we stayed, breakfast and a packed lunch for our safari. We did the full day Safari organised through the resort and were guided by the owner’s son Nisal who was very knowledgeable about the park’s wildlife and dedicated to helping us see as much as possible. Highlight of the Safari was seeing a Sloth Bear! The resort is right at the entrance of the national park so we did not need to wake up too early for the safari. You can also walk from the resort to the lake which is lovely in the afternoon. We would highly recommend the resort for anyone headed to Wilpattu.

It is located right next to the gate of the national park, so the location is perfect. However, the rooms are very small. As the lodge is hidden in the jungle, there is no breeze at all. It is very warm and humid, with a lot of mosquitoes, which makes it practically impossible to enjoy the beautiful surroundings outside. Make sure to ask the staff to prepare dinner in advance, as there is no other place nearby to have dinner. Compared to the other accommodation options, it was rather expensive.

The location was amazing right next to the national park, we walked along the lake and saw an elephant, deer and crocodiles! We watched sunset here both nights, it was beautiful. Father & son are both so friendly and helpful. The food we ate here is some of the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka so far, such generous portions. The beds are comfy, AC is good and shower warm! Mosquito nets are also great

オーナー家族の方全員が、親切で感じがよく、とても快適に過ごす事ができました。 オーナーが案内してくれる国立公園のサファリツアーは、多くの種類の動物と野鳥が見ることができ、とても感動しました。 また奥様が作られる料理がとても美味しく、しかもとてもリーズナブルで、品数も多く、食べきれない量が出てきたのには驚きました。 宿は国立公園入り口から歩いてすぐの場所で、少し歩くだけでいろいろな野鳥に出会うことができます。 今回は2泊だけでしたが、機会があればもう一度訪れ、もっと長く滞在したいです。

El hotel está situado a la entrada del parque. El personal es muy amable y nos hicieron sentir en casa. Contratamos el safari con ellos y fue genial (pudimos ver un leopardo). Cenamos en el alojamiento, nos prepararon la cena riquísima.

Nous avons adoré l’hospitalité de nos hôtes, le logement était conforme à nos attentes , et l’emplacement à 2 pas de l’entrée du parc est génial. Nous avons fait un safari avec leur fils, qui était d’une efficacité remarquable pour voir les animaux. Nous recommandons +++ le safari également. Wat een lieve familie die deze accommodatie beheert! De kamers zijn eenvoudig, maar beschikken over alles wat je nodig hebt. Airco, koelkast, waterkoker en klamboe. Ventilator op het terras. Ik zou zeker aanraden de safari naar Wilpattu rechtstreeks bij hen te boeken. Alles was perfect geregeld en ook qua eten tijdens de safari kwamen we niets te kort. Ontbijt en avondeten smaakten heerlijk. Prachtige ligging midden in de natuur. Echt een aanrader!

The hospitality changes the day of safari. Even though we had agreed to meet outside our door 5:45 - before that time they already came banging on our door 3 times to hurry us up. After safari we were told we got some more time left in the room to shower etc, between 10:30 and 11:30 (when we left) they came knocking 3 more times telling us we had to pay and leave. The night before they had also come knocking twice while we were already in bed, to tell us info they could have just said at dinner We felt very uneasy & unwelcome because of this constant badgering, it’s not like we stayed in the room past the agreed upon times

Gemoedelijk. Personeel enthousiast. Oma kookt samen met moeder die de kamers doet. Vader doet de Safari”s met humor en veel inzet. De zoon doet de boekingen. We hadden wat gedoe met een boeking die niet goed was doorgeven door Booking Com. Was geen probleem.

Niet geschikt om te vertoeven zonder veel weg te gaan. Geen receptie.

Nestled in a strip of forest by the lake, it was alive with birds. Room provided everything you needed for a comfortable night. Good dinner and breakfast.

Dark and lots of mosquitoes so come prepared. Also our room looked onto the kitchen. Coffee was Nescafé rather than the lovely Sri Lanka coffee.

De locatie is ongeveer naast de ingang van het park, ideaal! Er werken ook hele lieve mensen en vooral het diner is echt aan te bevelen. Het is een knus huisje waar je door een bospaadje komt, wij hebben echt een top verblijf gehad!

Eigenaar is tevens gids. Heel ervaren chauffeur en kent het terrein en de dieren op zijn duimpje. Zijn vrouw kookte heerlijk.

Elektriciteit en wifi vielen regelmatig uit.

Super nette und herzliche Besitzer. Wir hatten eine tolle ganztägige Safari und haben viele Tiere gesehen. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht und man bekommt abends ein leckeres Abendessen gekocht mit verschiedenen Currys, Reis und Obstplatte. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut und man ist mehr als satt geworden. Insgesamt eine perfekte Unterkunft mit sehr gutem Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis ☺️

De ligging direct aan debunking van NP wilpattu

De accomodatie ligt heel dicht bij de ingang van het park en op loopafstand van een meer waar je dieren kunt spotten. Boek ook de safari via het hotel, deze was erg goed. En er wordt lekker voor je gekookt. Fijne plek!

Het rook wat chrmisch in de kamer maar dat bleek een geurkaartje te zijn wat we in de badkamer hebben gelegd. Probleem opgelost.

We really enjoyed staying here, and felt very welcome. The location was perfect, really close to Wilpattu National Park. We could walk only a few minutes to watch the wild elephants bathing in the lake each afternoon. The owners helped us organise all our safaris and took us on night safari too where we saw a jungle cat. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park and will definitely come again!

If you are not comfortable with wildlife, maybe rethink. If you like being in the wildlife, you will love it.

Enorme vriendelijke mensen. Naast de ingang van het park. En 's avonds kun je naar het meer lopen (5 minuten lopen) om waterbuffels en of olifanten te zien. De organisatie regelt safari's. De zoon van de eigenaar gaat mee als gids. Na het boeken krijg je gelijk een overzicht met duidelijke prijzen.

La famiglia che ci ha ospitati è stata fantastica, ci ha accolto calorosamente e ha fatto il possibile per farci sentire a nostro agio. Noi siamo andati a fare il safari con loro ed è stata un esperienza meravigliosa, Leel ha fatto davvero il possibile perché potessimo avere la migliore esperienza. La moglie è una cuoca eccezionale. Veramente una bellissima esperienza.

Very friendly staff. They parked our TukTuk in a safe spot. Near the Resort is a small lagoon. The son of the owner helped us to see an elephant while sunset and find crocodiles in the lagoon. It was right next to the entry of Wilpattu Nationalpark. We booked a safari with the son which we enjoyed a lot. We had fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. AC was working well.

Bathroom was a bit dirty. There were dark spots on the towels. The room has a funny smell which might come from the mosquito spray

Tolle und komfortable saubere Ferienhäuser im Wald, direkt am Nationalpark. Während unseres Aufenthalts kam zweimal nachts um ein Uhr ein Elefant durch den Garten spaziert. Wir haben ihn hinter der Gardine beobachtet und nicht fotografiert, um ihn mit dem Licht des Handys/ der Kamera nicht zu erschrecken. Er war so groß wie unser Haus. Es war super spannend. Sehr liebe und fürsorgliche Gastgeber mit tollem Frühstück und Abendessen. Auch die Safari mit dem Gastgeber war ein super tolles Erlebnis.
