Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Emplacement idéale devant la gare , proche du centre et d’un centre commercial, on peut tout faire à pied , une grande salle où l’on peut prendre nos repas avec un micro-ondes, des baguettes , un distributeur de café et des distributeurs autres payants Pyjama dans la chambre et nécessaire pour la toilette à disposition dans la salle Lockers à disposition
Il n’y a pas de personnel, tout est automatisé, donc pas de livraison de bagages possibles

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026こういうタイプに泊まるのは初めてで、初めは戸惑いましたが、チェックインが終わると、あとは快適！でした、 スタッフさんにレンタカーを勧められ空港からレンタカーを借りたのは大正解でした。 角館よかったです。 近所に大型ショッピンモールもあり、4泊5日の秋田旅行のお土産の全てを角館で買いました。 雨上がりの武家屋敷通りは苔もしっとり緑色、街全体が緑に囲まれて黒い塀とのコントラスト、媚びないまちづくり、素晴らしかったです。街全体が歩いて回れるサイズでした。
大型ショッピンモールのせいで、少し駅周辺は閑古鳥気味でした。 それくらいです。 ホテルにはオーブントースターが欲しかった。

ランドリーを利用しましたが、びっくりするほど洗濯物が臭くなりました。 室内もやや臭いがあり、清潔感は微妙でした。

Très impersonnel puisqu'il n'y en a pas. Tout se fait via des automates (check in et check out) et absolument personne n'est présent pour répondre aux questions ou requêtes. Check-out à 10h00. Chambre pour quatre ne laisse plus aucun espace. Bien pour une nuit mais pas plus. Sendai etant à 1h30 en Shinkansen, étant le peu de choses à voir à Kakunodate, la question de faire un aller-retour dans la journée peut se poser

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026有公共交誼廳，廳裡有販賣機和茶包咖啡等，坐在交誼廳可以看到外面風景，兩大兩小有四張床(一個為行軍床、一個為沙發上再放床墊)，但是大家都能好好翻身睡覺。就在車站旁邊，可以想成是飯店就在車站。寧靜的不得了，早上起來散步真舒服。

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Excellent location next door to the railway station (but this implies a 2km trip to the samurai residences - you can't have it all). No breakfast but a nice breakfast room with free hot drinks - and a basic convenience store in the station.
The total absence of staff can be disconcerting, especially if after the checkin process the machine goes into error state and does not deliver a keycard. The remote support was useless at first and hardly spoke English but was then replaced by someone fluent in English, friendly and competent. The room was very clean but a (giant) cockroach had managed to get in anyway. The price was higher than what I usually pay for this kind of room in Japan.

Reviewed May 23, 2026Very interesting hotel concept. No local staff, just a check-in/check-out machine to deliver room keys and to leave the room keys. Before arrival I was worried about this concept, but it worked very well. The hotel had the usual facilities for a Japanese hotel: lobby with microwave and tables for eating, coin laundry and self-service luggage store with number locks. No local staff means also no breakfast, but in the lobby there was a coffee machine, also the room had coffee/tea facilities and it was possible to buy breakfast items either from the railway station convenience store (note that it closes at 19:00) or from the nearby (15 min by walking) hypermarket with very wide selection of food (also good for buying food for dinner to be heated by the micro in the lobby). The hotel location is convenient for traveling as it is connected to the railway station. But this means that everything else, for example, the famous samurai houses and restaurants are quite far away, although within walking distance

The automated check-in was easy and the rooms were nice and comfortable. For the price, it was great! Also free coin-lockers to use for the day after checked out.
There was no-one around if there was an issue. I didn't realise this would be the case (fully automated check-in process). We didn't have any issue, but could imagine if there was a problem or a less tech-savvy person was checking in it could be an issue. The cafe area / facilities wasn't anything to write home about - basic snacks and drinks from vending machines.

Ich habe das Zimmer nur ausgewählt, weil ich ein Frühstück erwartet habe. Es stand zwar in der Beschreibung nichts darüber, aber in den Bewertungen war es eindeutig, dass es ein Frühstück gibt. Hätte ich gewusst, es gibt keins, hätte ich das Zimmer nicht gebucht, weil man für den Preis das durchaus erwarten kann. In anderen, besseren Hotels, in denen ich in Japan übernachtet habe, war Zimmerpreis sogar leicht niedriger und mit Frühstück

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026It's practical and minimal and adequate for a short stay. Don't expect luxury, but it is clean and organised and right next to the train station. Kakunodate is an amazing little town worth visiting and there aren't many options for places to stay, but IMO you don't need any other option. It's a short walk from the hotel to the samurai houses and there is a convenience store in the train station next to the hotel. The no staff at reception thing takes a minute to get used to, but you realise soon you don't really need it and the auto checkin and checkout works just fine. I would stay here again if I'm in Kakunodate.
Nothing really. This hotel is what it claims to be and nothing more or less.

Nada, funcionaba todo perfectamente. Agil y ordenado para el proceso y los accesos. Volvería tranquilamente.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026就在車站旁，非常自動化，還沒到CHECK IN時間就可以用旁的LOCKER自己把行李鎖起來。這裡沒有櫃台人員，完全自助式…非常厲害，門旁也有個住客專用的LOUNGE，沒有關的時間限制，只要有房卡就可以進去，裡頭有些飲料、水，可以在那吃超市買的晚餐，或是買裡面販賣機的東西。我們在那住了兩晚，一切都很滿意！
