River Cottage

Lovely area nice little river running by with scenic views

Opens up onto the road so not safe to let dog off into the garden as it’s not blocked off, fully self catering for breakfast, limited food options, cereals were stale and no normal coffee in press only pods, strange smell coming from rooms and floors were very dirty and grubby like it hadn’t been hoovered in a long time, very expensive for self catering and a one night stay with limited facilities.

The toilet was not seen and there was a dirty smell in the house ! We did not stay

Second stay at River Cottage and perfect again. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Good location to town. Host left food in fridge for a cooked breakfast and also selection of cereals and pastries etc. Could not have been a better experience and accomodation. 5 stars!

Property is a lovey renovated cottage. Very clean. Internet works well with a big tv in a comfortable living room. Lovely outdoor area with a beautiful calm stream passing by. Kitchen well equipped. Beds were comfortable and clean. Short walk to the town. Quiet and isolated for privacy. Good parking.

Casa completa acogedora, bonita, cómoda con cocina, baño, lavadora, secadora, etc. Todo funcional. En la nevera nos dejaron huevos, bacon, pan, mantequilla, etc. Por lo que la estancia fue correcta y agradable.

We were staying purely as a stop over. Place was easy to find, easy to access, very comfortable beds, clean rooms and bathroom. We arrived late and left early but would happily stay here for an extended trip to the area.

It’s close to everything I need !there is a 24 hours centra only two minutes away !love the breakfast they prepare soo sweet!peaceful and big back garden for kids to play!well recommended

La maison est coquette et possède un bon potentiel avec un équipement adapté pour un séjour agréable. Nous avons apprécié le lit d’appoint fait dans la buanderie.

Les draps n’étaient pas propres (cheveux dans le lit) dans une des chambres, heureusement il y en avait dans l’armoire, nous avons changé les draps. L’ensemble de la maison était sale.

Very cozy house close to everything. Clean and tidy and had some food provided.

Location was excellent for us, very near Equestrian Centre

The house was very dirty, there was crumbs on the benches, dirty dishes in the cupboard, out of date milk and pkt of opened ham and cheese in the fridge. There was long blonde hairs on the kitchen and bathroom floor and the bedding did not seem to be clean. The accommodation is all very comfortable but the cleanliness and hygiene was very poor. I prefer to say nothing rather than complain but this was a very disappointing experience for my grandchildren.

Cottage was cosy. Plenty of coffee machines but no coffee to drink.

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 days at River Cottage. We are a family of 5 3 adults and 1 year old twins. The cottage was very clean and tidy , comfortable beds. Breakfast bread and milk left for us in the fridge was excellent. Bonus of having babies with us the washing machine excellent. Will definitely book this cottage again. Jim & Jackie from Scotland .

A lovely little cottage right next to a babbling brook. Great facilities, delicious breakfast, peaceful surroundings.

The directions are a little off. It’s further than 200 yards down the road from the garage. Past the Hyundai garage, next junction turn left. Up a slight incline and the cottage is just after hiilcrest view on the left facing the road. Enjoy

Lovely cottage. The hosts went above and beyond in stocking food for us. There were supplies for a fry as well as lots of milk and cereal choices.

Lovely, warm, spacious, all the facilities available to use.

The bathroom is outdated compared to the rest of the bungalow but everything works.

Location was great, very easy to find. House is well equipped and had everything we could possibly need.

Absolutely beautiful warm cosy cottage in great location. Noeleen had really gone above and beyond. Christmas decorations were a lovely homely touch. And everything you could want for a short stay...milk butter bread eggs bacon and sausages left in fridge. Chocs also. And plenty of tea coffee sugar cereal selection and cakes etc etc ... honestly all really amazing and not at all expected...a really thoughtful generous host. House is immaculate and heating on when arrived so very warm and cosy. Bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom spotless...as was whole house. Gorgeous little stream running along the back of house. And all very private . Easy to find once you follow Noeleens instructions/ directions from the petrol station. Parking available to side of cottage. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great host. Great accomodation. Highly recommended.

Lovely and clean, we asked for a cot and there were lots of extras for the baby also provided which was a nice touch, such as high chair and baby bath. Also very accommodating when we wanted to check in earlier.

Although there were a few pastries left for us, when the booking said breakfast was included I was expecting a bit more. There were some cereals but no milk, and there was butter in the fridge but no bread!

Excellent location and very quiet, 15 minutes walk to town, my opinion it’s perfect .

Beautiful 3 bedroom cottage ! Very clean, warm and modern furniture ! Perfect if needing somewhere close to Mullingar Town.

Exceptional cottage. Was excellent for the dog! The garden was graveyard and she loved it. There was really thoughtful bowls and a bed left for her also. For the humans, the kitchen was great. It's so nicely decorated and the bed was amazing!!

Great location. The house was spotless with coffee pods and assorted little pastries. Overall this is a lovely house. Ideal for four people.

Only a small criticism, shower in bathroom could do with a little more power.

The cottage was comfortable, spacious, it had everything we needed and the location was quiet and private. There was private parking and the cottage felt like a home from home.

Lounge area suited us but would be small for more than three adults and child. Would not find it safe for toddlers or small children as open to a busy road. We had an 11 month old in our party so was ok as she was only outside with us.

It was clean and close to the festival shuttle . Good amount of parking. The owners were helpful.

Back again to mullingar on business I love staying here because of it's closeness to town given variety of places to go on foot or by car.the place is so private gives me a chance to work from home .since my last stay i notice the place is all geared up for the summer sun loungers barbecue and dining area all along the water which is only beautiful because of the river which is very unique and pleasant.

Loved this cottage, excellent value for money, great facilities. The bed was one of the best I'd ever slept on. It was easy to find it was close to town, staff was friendly and helpful. Great stay I'll be back

Location excellent, clean and beautiful stream. Well equipped kitchen with all appliances required.

Just trying to find accommodation. Our Google maps would not work so spent 1hour and half trying to find. If name was on gate or cottage would be great, because we passed it many times on our search

Boomerang,I keep coming back to river cottage as it is exactly what I want. Location,peace and tranquillity,warm and tidy off road parking. Host lady is helpful and accommodating. Now i know why this place won awards centre of excellence in every aspect

Cozy cottage in a peaceful area. Very close to shops and activities for kids. We went to Belvedere Gardens which was literally a 5 min drive down the road. Really enjoyed our stay.

Convenient to everything minuets from town centre which was very good. Very comfortable with every facility.that you'd want.the stream that runs along side the cottage was very relaxing while I had breakfast outside.the overall all beauty of this place is we had the whole Cottage to ourselves.will be returning in the not to distant future..this is a real gem I'd highly recommend.
