Reviewed Oct 14, 2025Warm welcome and so helpful with room arrangements. Gardens were beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. Very good value for money.
Second time with booking.com making an error with the type of bed booking. On my side it says twin beds and on the hosts side it says double bed. The host was so helpful in fixing the mix up, but booking.com needs to fix this issue as it is the second time this has happened to me at two different venues.

Reviewed Oct 1, 2025Beautiful gardens, very tastefully decorated, host went more than the extra mile to make our stay comfortable.
No mini fridge. Self catering accommodation, but no cutlery provided with crockery. Insufficient space to prepare or eat food. But this is minor compared with the otherwise very positive experien e.

Reviewed May 27, 2025Bertus is a fantastic host, going above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable throughout and had everything that I needed. I felt comfortable to message him with anything that I felt was missing from the accommodation, and he was always rapidly ready to help. When there was a slight issue with the wifi (not the fault of the hosts), an alternative source was rapidly found which was convenient and easy to use. The location is great, walking distance from Hilton Corner with a Checkers with everything you might need, though it is still a bit out of the way and felt private. I was initially planning on only staying a week, though due to the fantastic hosting and great apartment, I decided to extend another two weeks.

Reviewed Nov 13, 2024Our host Bertus went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately there was an issue with Eskom power but he had a backup generator available and we weren't inconvenienced at all. I had to go for surgery the Monday and he even checked up on me as to who I was doing. My husband stayed over the second night whilst I was in hospital. You meet as a guest but leave as a friend👌❣️
