Ino and his wife were wonderful hosts with a lovely family. They invited me for dinner and I really enjoyed talking to them and gaining some insights in to what life is like on Flores. They were helpful, friendly and provided a lovely breakfast.

The towel could have been bigger. We would call it a hand towel! No basin in the room.

Famille très accueillante et disponible, avec qui l'on peut échanger en anglais. La chambre était très propre et la douche avec de l'eau chaude. Cuisine á disposition très pratique. Ils mettent á disposition des fiches sur ce qu'il y a á visiter, qui sont très pratiques. Je recommande !

The family is very nice, you feel at home. Nice place for a night, hot showers.

The family who owns and runs the plays is wonderful and Ino is very helpful and an excellent guide. It's a nice plays where you feel good 😊

Outstanding hostel, an unexpected gem in Flores. Incredibly kind hosts that are great to chat with or simply ask for info on the area. New facilities, hot shower, fast wifi, big proper breakfast. Coffee tea water all day. And don't be surprised if you're invited for lunch. Thank you!

Es un pequeño hostal gestionado por una señora deliciosa que acude atentamente a su sitio y a sus huéspedes. Las dos habitaciones con 4 camas cada una, ducha caliente, aseo y taquillas con llave. El espacio es mínimo pero suficiente. La cama buena y.la luz discreta. La cocina compartida está bien limpia y equipada. La dueña ofrece un gracioso desayuno, agua potable, te y café. Lindo jardín con unas sillas realizadas con los neumáticos. El hostal está cerca del centro en una calle bastante tranquila.

A very very nice experience in Ino's homestay ! The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is good and Ino is a very nice man. We had good conversations. I highly recommand !

Such a gem. Feels like a mix of a homestay and a hostel. Owner is super friendly and its quiet but was nice to meet a few other travelers staying there. Clean and has hot water and free breakfast. Highly recommend.

Ino et sa famille sont tellement adorables, j'ai adoré échanger avec eux. En plus ils étaient vraiment aux petits soins avec moi, et de très bons.conseils pour les visites aux alentours. Le dortoir et la salle de bain sont très propres et la literie est confortable. Gros plus pour moi, on a accès à la cuisine, j'ai pu me cuisiner de bons petits plats. Encore merci pour votre accueil !

Le seul petit hic est qu'il n'y a pas de lavabo dans le dortoir, la configuration de la piece ne le permet pas. Mais ce n'est vraiment pas très gênant.

The family that runs this are super friendly and really really nice. Their children run around and play and there is good energy about this place. The bedroom was comfy and there was even a hot shower! Great water pressure too! Breakfast in the morning was filling. All you can drink tea and coffee too which was good after a long day on the scooter.

Perhaps a new sign out front to make finding it a little easier, no biggie though.

Very comfy bed, very clean bathroom, hot water. Nice quiet neighborhood away from centre. A perfect place to stay for a night if you're passing through the town. It's more of a homestay than a hostel. The breakfast was good and the owners were quite nice too. If I come to Ruteng again, I'd certainly stay there again.

Clean and comfortable, a share kitchen to cook, tea and coffee available, great included breakfast and the owners are lovely.

Some improvements could be it having a sink and a way to lock the dormitory door.

The lady who wants the place is absolutely wonderful and very kind and caring. For the price of the day that cannot be a single complaint.

I loved it. It was super calm and relaxing and the hostel owners were very welcoming and friendly. They helped me a lot and if I would have had the time, I definitely would have extended my stay. Highly recommend :)

This place should be more appreciated among travelers who come to Rotanga. I recommend coming to them.

I stayed here twice during my trip on Flores. The people are simply wonderful! 🫶🏼I felt completely comfortable. They had lots of great tips for my travels. A clear recommendation!

J’ai absolument tout aimé dans cette auberge et je reviendrais sans aucune hésitation. Les dortoirs sont propres et fonctionnels, les douches ont de l’eau chaude et la wifi fonctionne très bien. Mais la vrai expérience est d’avoir la chance de rencontrer Eno et sa famille. Ils sont super accueillants, toujours souriants et prêts à partager leur culture, merci à eux !

Eno et sa famille sont incroyablement gentils. Le petit dortoir et à côté de leur maison et la cuisine est partagée, ce qui permet d'échanger. Ils sont toujours disponibles et prêts à partager leurs bonnes adresses. Tout est très bien pensé et le petit déjeuner est de qualité et local !

Ruteng Hostel is ruled by a lovely and welcoming family. The room was clean and beds where very comfortable. There is a comunal area with kitchen wear, coffee and tea. I would recommend staying in Ruteng Hostel.

C’est mon 2eme passage en une semaine! Très bon endroit pour faire l’aller et retour de la visite sur flores! Très bon endroit pour faire des rencontres! La famille est adorable!

Ruteng Hostel is more of a Homestay than an actual hostel. They have two separate dorms with four beds - two bunk beds each - and en suit shower and separate toilet. The rooms are bright, friendly and clean. The beds have curtains, light and a socket each. But the best thing is the family that runs the hostel. They're the kindest people! For them it went without saying that me and a fellow traveller will have dinner together with them because we sat together on the kitchen table. Afterwards we talked with owner Ino for hours. Ino also took me to Pu'u village, one of the spider web rive field view points, and we had coffee, cake and nice conversations in between. He works as a guide as well, and he's a real good one! He loves to talk and listen to people and he knows a lot. Even if you're not staying but need a guide with car around Ruteng or all of Flores, call Ino +62 812-3717-3842!

There is no sink in the rooms but outside, or you can use the shower which is a but inconvenient.

Famille très accueillante et chaleureuse. Vous avez même de l’eau chaude pour la douche. L’espace cuisine avec thé et café à disposition est un plus. C’est propre. Super rapport qualité prix.

Équipement un peu vétuste mais fonctionnel (lit superposé qui grince, porte de la douche qui s’effrite)

Absolutely lovely place, comfy beds and warm shower, the hosts are wonderful and so kind, great breakfast and accommodating to my allergies. Very homely and helpful, they told us about all the places to visit and can sort transfers onwards from Ruteng. Great price too!

The property itself is lovely, but the real highlight is the owner, an incredibly friendly and kind person who generously shared valuable insights about Ruteng and Flores. His hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended, 100%!

- unfortunately no taxis or transport available to the city centre and veryyyyyy limited food options close by, however the owners assisted us with ordering something

Amazing place to stay!!! Friendly family hosts you in a clean and safe space!Beds are comfy and you have curtains, own plug and light. Plus a good breakfast included, access to the kitchen, fridge, hot and cold water, HOT Shower too... Terima Kasih !!!!

Hot showers!! Free breakfast with fruits, bread, egg, coffee, tea, water. Family owned and they are warm and kind people. Provides many activities and things to do around Flores. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Must stay when visiting Ruteng

The owners were lovely, great conversationalists, and very helpful. They had heaps of useful information in the communal area. They put my breakfast off to the side and saved it for me when I slept in one day.

It's a very cozy and small hostel. The beds are comfortable; showers are warm, spacious and clean. Owners are very nice and helpful.

Thanks so much to Ino, the owner, his wife and sister for being so warm and welcoming. Hostel is clean and tidy, beds are comfortable, sheets and blankets are spotless 👍👍. Hot water too! I love the nasi goreng prepared by Celine ❤️ (not sure if it's spelled correctly). Good coffee, tip-top motorcycle condition, and serene environment with a small little garden. I will definitely come back to see your coffee plantation ☺️. BIG Dreams, BIG Hopes 🤞🤞🤗

Absolutely nothing...

The staff is lovely. They have a water refiller, free coffee and tea and a variated breakfast. This are only a few of the positives because i also enjoyed a hot shower for the first in a long time and they clean the rooms daily. Very comfortable beds and all this for such a little price, definitely recommend

Everything, the free breakfast was the best I've had after 6 weeks of travelling in Indonesia.

Rooms are simple and clean. Breakfast is great! Location is quiet

This is my third stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the family is delightful. They go above and beyond to make things easy.

A mirror somewhere would be good.

Such a great place to stay. Simple dorm, but you are basically part of the (really friendly) family. There is a kitchen you can use and some seating outside. Toilet and shower right in the room and a really good explanation on how to use the shower :D The breakfast included was one of the best I had in Indonesia...

I missed a sink inside the room/toilet and there was not much space for luggage in the room, maybe a shelf could help. Diner options are limited, especially if you are vegetarian. I still loved my stay though ;)

-the area is quiet but not far from the center of ruteng -the room was clean -the bed was comfortable -the shower and toilet are in two seperate rooms -the hot shower worked well and the water pressure is good -the staff is very friendly and helped the guests with informations about the area or bike rentals

Only stayed for one night and arrived late but the staff were really nice, the breakfast was good and early which was perfect for us as we were heading off early. The beds were comfy and had proper duvets.

Our stay was lovely! The room was quite big, the bed was very comfortable , all the rooms have bathroom and a big shower with hot water too! The breakfast was very tasty, the family is kind and helpful, they will give you information and advice about Flores, water , tea and coffee anytime! Also wifi works very well! We’ll definitely come back!

Nice quiet place.

A bit far from the centre.

Very clean, confortable bed and pillow. They can arrange for transport and tours Would of wished more confortable sitting space outside of room and locker for valuables.

I don’t suggest the tour with motorbike with « guide ». Guide did not speak a word of English, did not even say hi. Was more of a driver than a guide. Paid 400K just to be driven around and they told me the guide spoke a bit of english.

The family are very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was great. Soap, toilet paper, and towel included. Warm shower. Comfortable bed with a thick blanket. Free tea, coffee and water anytime.
