Det hade varit trevligt med riktiga mörkläggningsgardiner för att rummet ska bli riktigt mörkt.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Nous avons aimé la tranquillité de l'endroit, la cuisine assez bien équipée, tout était bien réfléchi pour l'organisation, y compris le recyclage. Les lits étaient confortables, tout était propre. Nous avons vu 2 personnes de l'établissement qui étaient très aimables.
La salle de bain est vraiment minuscule, difficile de ne pas mettre de l'eau partout. Le bâtiment et les meubles semblent souffrir de l'humidité (meubles dans la salle de bains un peu effrités et petite étagère dans la chambre où la peinture s'en va, ainsi qu'à l'extérieur) et c'est dommage, cela donne un e impression d'une maison pas assez entretenue. Une lumière à l'extérieur le soir serait également bienvenue pour pouvoir aller chercher des affaires dans la voiture. C'est vraiment juste ces quelques points à mentionner, sinon notre séjour était très agréable.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026The Hostel was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The rooms are reasonably spacious and the beds are ok. Check-in worked well.
The shared bathrooms are very small. I don't understand why they have two tiny bathrooms instead of one toilette and one shower. It is impossible to use the sinks without wetting the place since they are smaller than in a plane. I am also sure they have silicon for wet areas in Sweden, so you don't have to look at the moldy silicon at the sinks.! Windows don't open (fire protection rules?)

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Generalnie wszystko ok. Warunki hostelowo-schroniskowe (np. wspólna łazienka, pokoje niezbyt duże), ale to było wiadome od początku. Więc bez żadnych zaskoczeń. Ale poza tym ludzie szanują ciszę, było super.
W pokojach nie otwierały się okna (ponoć z powodów ochrony przeciwpożarowej). Było coś w rodzaju klimatyzatora, a raczej urządzenia wwiewającego powietrze (więc nie było zaduchu, na szczęście), ale dosyć głośno chodził... Ostatecznie można się było do tego przyzwyczaić.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Sweet Little place with friendly staff (cleaning and owners). Close to the station (Abisko Östra). Well equiped kitchen. We met some nice guest and had a great Time.
Bathrooms are very small and there are only two of them. If the place is full, this means 2 toilets for 8 people and 2 showers (they aren’t seperate from one another). It might get crowded. Also, every door makes a loud noise when closed. In such a small place, we hear everything so this has been waking me up. And the last thing, the Windows don’t open at all. The air can’t really be renewed and this was a problem for me.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Kiva hostel ja sijainti hyvässä paikassa. Neljän huoneen hostel. Ja nimenomaan huone numero 4 on näistä isoin, joka sattui meille. Paikka oli siisti ja keittiössä kaikki tarvittavat välineet ja laitteet ruoanlaittoon ja säilytykseen.
Jääkaappiin oli jätetty vanhoja ruokatarvikkeita ja lautanen täynnä keittoa edellisten toimesta, niin tämä mietitytti, että siivoaako henkilökunta näitä vanhoja ruokia pois jääkaapista kuinka usein.

Leider konnte man nicht lüften. Die Badezimmer waren sehr klein. Die anderen Gäste haben sich leider nicht an alle Regeln gehalten und dadurch war die Küche und WC nicht immer sauber.

The 2 showers are also the only toilets to be used. They are tiny and have a minuscule little hand washing basin also to be used to wash your face and teeth. I’m a woman, sharing the hostel bathrooms with 3 men who were “home” before me so the showers/toilets were used and not really clean. Had to skip showering that day 😳

Huone oli tunkkainen, koska siellä ei ollut lainkaan ilmanvaihtoa ja ikkunoita ei saanut avata. Eräs toisessa huoneessa majoittunut henkilö ei piitannut säännöistä vaan katsoi kovaäänisesti tv:tä hiljaisuuden jälkeen. Äänieristystä ei ole huoneissa lainkaan.

Reviewed Nov 7, 2025La ubicación está muy bien, cerca del tren y el pueblo no es muy grande. Las sábanas y toallas estaban limpias. Fueron muy amables y nos dejaron hacer el check-in antes a cambio de cambiar de habitación.
La habitación no estaba muy limpia y había alguna arañita en el techo. Los utensilios de cocina también están un poco sucios. Pero nada grave.

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Blisko do stacji kolejowej, przystanku autobusowego i sklepu a przede wszystkim, do jeziora :) Większość szlaków rozpoczyna się jednak w Abisko Turiststation, ale nastawiając się na hiking, przejście dodatkowych 3km nie robi różnicy ;) Domek jest niewielki, przestrzeń wspólna to kuchnia z jadalnią i mini salon, który jest w zasadzie korytarzem. Mogłoby to być wadą, a jednak dla mnie była to zaleta - sprzyjała interakcji z innymi gośćmi :)

The instruction is really NOT enough. If you do the checking in before sunsets, maybe it’s okay to find the place. But after sunsets? Absolutely not. We were there trying to find the hostel at around 21:30, and it took us like an hour to find the right hostel. There was no obvious instruction or lights pointing out which is the right place to go, and it was dark and freezing outside. When we were trying to contact the reception guy via another order on the same day, they came to reply THE NEXT MORNING. We were like, HELLO????? The hostel itself was okay though.
