Villa Rebecca

We had a really nice experience staying at Villa Rebecca in West Bank, Luxor. The host and his family were extremely caring and hospitable from the moment we arrived. They arranged pickup, welcomed us warmly and were always available to help whenever needed. Their kindness made us feel very comfortable during our stay. The place was good and we truly appreciated the hospitality we received here.

We loved this place so so so much !! The apartment is just perfect, you will have a lot of space, the balcony offers a beautiful view. Everything there is very confortable. Also the breakfast is just amazing and Mahmoud is really the best best chef so really: don’t hesitate to try the restaurant !!! We will definitely come back again. All the staff is super friendly : Ahmed, Ali, Mahmoud and Hossam !!! Thank you so much guys

Het dakterras met het prachtige uitzicht!

Niets

Was very quiet but it’s in a small village so it might not be for everyone.

N/A

The staff, they were working with what they had.

No tv unable to see news. The villa was in no man land and you had to depend on one person for transportation. Not good. I will never return to egypt.

The furniture was dirty and old. The rugs on the floor were dirty. It was not what i expected but i had to stay longer because i had an accident at another hotel that cause me to need physical therapy when i got there. The staff was great except one person Ali the driver do not trust him. He will tell you whatever you give for tip is ok but its not. He will hold his head down in sadness like you have done him wrong. He did help me to get to the hospital but he got a 100 dllar tip and 20 dollars for the trip to the airport. Nobody gets that kind of tip. They have uber but the drivers try to discourage from using it because that cuts them out from overcharging. This place has no road name therefore uber cant reach you. You are at the mercy of that person. Dont give tip until the very end no matter how they complain about children tuition or what . They save and they arent that desperate. The ants, flies spiders and mosqitoes were bad. Why didnt i leave the therapist came to the villa daily while i was there and he was great. There are some great people in Egypt and some great people at viĺla. Rebecca Ali just wasnt one.

See above i dont want write this again. I wrote in wrong.

Beautiful location delicious restaurant downstairs. The host went above and beyond to support us. We hired a bike which they recommended and took us to which we use to get around everywhere. The room is really comfortable

Really great place with nice people, I recommend!

If you are in Luxor you have to stay on the calm and authentic West bank with so many hidden gems and people. Family that was hosting us (Ahmed, Mahmoud and Hossam) are so warm people that will go beyond, just to make you have the best experience. Don't worry about staying a bit away from the ferry port as one of them will always come pick you up or take you there. Breakfast on the rooftop is just breathtaking. Below they run a beautiful restaurant Baladi Garden you have to try where they also grow their own vegetables. Pro tip: Rent yourself bikes for a couple of hours from El-Nile rent-a-bike from Abdul and just explore the village. If you get offered a tea by Abdul (or anybody else from the village), do accept it as that might be a unique experience you will never forget.

Absolutely nothing. Hopefully, I will be able to visit again.

Nulla

The entire flat is available for our use. It is clean and tidy, and a washing machine is provided. A kitchen is also available if you wish to cook for yourself. The owner/organizer is quite active in responding to messages. He arranged a cab to pick us up from the airport; the driver waited for us for more than three hours due to our delayed Air Cairo flight. As the cab driver, Ali, who is a cousin of the property owner, he took care of everything during our stay, and we even utilized his services for getting around.

Unless you really know what you are doing, stay away from the West Bank. It's only for people who want a rural setup. Without a pre-booked cab service, it is very hard to reach the property. Forget about going out for a walk during the night or getting groceries or other things yourself; you will not find anything nearby. Stick to your own plan or add extra if needed, but don't remove places to visit based on others' suggestions. We had a power cut during our stay, which also caused a water cut. It looks like a once-in-a-lifetime event.

This was the cleanest hotal so far. Breakfast was served at the roof top and it was delicious. The view of the rooftop is really beautiful. If you wake up early, you can see the hot baloons. In the room, there was a kitchen and necessary tools are avaliable. Also we had a problem with shower and in a hour, it was solved. The staff Mahmud and Husam was really helpful. It was very enjoyable stay. Thanks a lot for everything.

The location is not really good but with a taxi, it can be solved.

Our room was very spacious and fairly comfortable. It included a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of seating area. Breakfast was very nice, and we appreciated that the menu changed a bit every day. The location is down a dirt road on the west bank of the river, surrounded by banana plantations. That means it is a bit out of the way, but people looking for a spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city will appreciate it. Staff here can arrange tours to the main sites, but they are all a bit overpriced.

The room was basically clean... but don't look too closely at surfaces like the insides of cupboards or the tops of light switches. The bathroom is really rough and needs to be overhauled in the near future. The adjoining restaurant sometimes plays loud music well into the night to an audience of basically no one.

We loved the location. It was quiet and peaceful, and it gave us the experience of staying in a rural setting with about a 25-minute walk to the public ferry port. The apartment was very spacious with a large balcony. The bed was comfortable and shower was very hot at all times. The house has beautiful views from the roof terrace. We have really enjoyed the breakfast and the kindness of the family stay.

I love the location of the place, you can see the Nile from the rooftop. I also loved how they had a wonderful family owned restaurant as well. Very spacious living area as well as bathroom!

Ali helped us with our stay and drove us around. Great to have his input. We loved the location although some people might feel it was too off the beaten track, but we loved it. The restaurant attached to the apartment was good and very convenient. Mahmood was very kind and his son was very helpful. It's on the west bank so the main ancient sites are very handy.

Place is nice, needy, tide and clean. You explore the real life in Egypt as you live between farms. Beautiful view over Nile from the terrace on the top.

Clean, whole apartment looking rooms. Their restaurant food is delicious.

Direi niente

A little late to review, but just want to say how beautiful was this stay!! One of a kind, will remember it for long while..❣️ Ahmed’s hospitality and kindness was so genuine, location is dreamy to experience real Luxor.. the stunning views from the rooftop, quality comfort of apartment, guide recommendations - everything I received there was very quality service and just perfect.. Thank you Ahmed, good luck with everything!!😇

We were very happy with our choice, on arrival at 5 am, Mr Ahmed was waiting for us with a smile, the apartment was clean and comfortable and equipped with the necessary. In spite of waking up late, tasty breakfast was served, by Mr Mahmoud and young Hossam, on the rooftop looking over fields of banana trees and the beautiful Nile. The villa is situated on the west side away from the hustle and more busy streets of the city, which was still easily accessible by the boat. They offered us gracious transport to and from the boats anchor area whenever needed. Mr Ali arranged for our sunset Nile boat trip and for our visit to Hatshepsut and Habo temples. It was a nice séjour, hoping to return back soon. Thank you

The kitchen equipments might need updating though we didn’t need to use them

We arrived to our hosts saying "Welcome Home". This turned out to be not just a saying, they really treated us as if we had come home. From looking out for one of our group who was feeling poorly, to making sure we were comfortable right from the first minute we arrived. The rooms were enormous, the rooftop sensational and the breakfast, although simple, was something to look forward to. The location was a little out of the way, but this meant that walking in the local area was like being in a calm oasis. People talked to us, kids played with us and the local shopkeepers were lovely. And we still got to all the tourist sites, it just took, literally, a few minutes longer to get there. Next door is a restaurant run by the family, excellent food with fresh local produce. I recommend getting away from the tourist crush and staying here when in Luxor.

Very friendly

Bad location, not suitable for families with kids

Vista spettacolare dalla terrazza delle colazioni.. Loro super accoglienti e disponibili su tutto… E “Rebecca”

The view from terrace. Clean apartment. Breakfast was good.

The location. It is far away from city centre and it was difficult to find taxi. We experienced low voltage problems, but we were told that the whole area had the same prolbem at the exact time. Sofa bed was not so much comfortable for an adult.

A big warm recommendation for Villa Rebecca! Wonderful people, so simple, warm and hospitable. We felt like home. From the first to the last moment. The accommodation is beautiful, huge, comfortable and clean. You have your own balcony with a view of the village, the Nile, bananas, palm trees and other greenery. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. You can also enjoy the roof of the building with an even better and higher view. You can also see Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings. You can arrange very interesting tours with the hosts, organize whatever you want, at a decent price. The accommodation also has their beautiful restaurant located in a garden full of plants, fruits and vegetables, from which you will get the best refreshing juices and food. The ambiance is wonderful and we love your music!! Their cats, dog and horse will often greet you :) A very nice place that we will always remember. Thank you for everything. And we hope to see you again! ❤️ inshallah

Calm, comfortable, beautiful view from rooftop, nice owner

Far from restaurants

All great, clean, calm, no noise nearby, nice host, just know you are on the West bank and you need to take the taxi-boat which costs 25 EGP to cross the Nile river

Nothing

Amazing view from the roof top. The room with attached bathroom and kitchen was really nice.

.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile!

Everything. The kindness of the staff. They give us breakfast early for our tour. The appartement was very lovely. Restaurant purpose a gusty cuisine.

It s not close from the city

The view in the day and night is spectacular. You see the Nile, Luxor Temple, the mountains of the Valley of the Kings. The unit was so neat and detail given to doors opening onto balconies. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the top balcony was a treat. The restaurant served delicious meals, made with fresh ingredients from the garden. We had the best time! Such good value for money.

A suggestion is to add a mirror in the Main bedroom.

Spacious room with nice view and rooftop terrace. Friendly people. Consider the price of the room and set your expectations accordingly.

Location made taxis slightly more expensive. No WiFi in rooms. Some ants.

no

If you are looking for 5 star service for 2 star price, this is exactly what is Villa Rebecca offering. Owner is very well look after guests, providing lift to shop, advice for trips or arranging everything what you need. 360 rooftop view is amazing.

Only one bad thing - we can't stay longer.

Great place with an amazing breakfast on the rooftop with a beautiful view. Very nice staff, look forward to stay here next time!!

Everything was great.

– The room and living area were very spacious and comfortable. – There was air conditioning, so we stayed cool even in the heat. – The views from the terrace were beautiful, and if you wake up early, you can see the hot air balloons flying over the area. – Although the hotel is not located near the city center, they offer free transportation to and from town at the time you choose (by car or motorbike, depending on availability). – There’s a small local convenience store on the corner run by local people, which is a nice touch if you enjoy getting to know the local lifestyle.

– The breakfast was just okay—nothing special, but it served its purpose. – We had dinner at the restaurant one night: the food was good, but nothing stood out compared to other places, and the prices were significantly higher. While it's convenient to have a restaurant on-site (which is rare in the area), I wouldn’t recommend eating there unless they lower the prices a bit.

Super kind staff, breakfast was excellent, the agriculture vibe is super nice

The hosts were amazing and helpful. Very nice place to experience Egypt. Amazing food - the best we had during our trip. Rooms are super clean nad big with AC. For sure I will like to come back ❤️🧡💛

A haven in the chaos of Luxor. Ahmed and his family take really good care of you, and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We booked all of our tours through Villa Rebecca. The rooftop terrace was also incredible, and free use of the washing machine was a huge bonus for us. I’ve already recommended Villa Rebecca to friends of mine making plans to travel to Luxor. Ahmed’s cousin’s restaurant next door has some of the most delicious and fresh food we ate in Egypt (but be warned - you will be waiting about 1-2hours for it to be prepared, so order early if you plan to eat there). We would absolutely stay here again!

hospitality

No written menu for diner.

Beautiful and comfortable stay on the West Bank. The staff made us feel completely at home - always available to give us rides to and from restaurants and the motorboats across to Luxor, sourcing drinks and snacks for us. Azab in particular was incredibly helpful recommending and arranging tours of the West Bank sites and a sunrise hot air balloon ride for us. Rooms are very spacious and the the view from rooftop is beautiful

Do bear in mind that the property is in a village on the West Bank - much more peaceful and enjoyable compared to staying in Luxor in my opinion but shops / restaurants are slightly more limited

I honestly don’t even know where to begin—this place is absolutely incredible! The views are breathtaking, and the apartment was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Sadly, we only had one night here, and I wasn’t feeling well during our stay, so I missed out on enjoying the rooftop and restaurant area myself. My husband, however, spent half a day up on the rooftop in complete bliss, just reading and soaking it all in. He had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and said they were amongst the best meals he had in all of Egypt! What truly blew us away was the hospitality. The owner and every single staff member went above and beyond to take care of us. They even went to the store to get me crackers and brought me a fenugreek tea to help with my stomach upset. That kind of care is so rare—hospitality at its absolute finest. Breakfast (although once again I did not get to try it), was abundant and fresh. We’ll 100% be back, and next time it won’t be for just one night. This place is heaven on earth!

Hospitality of the team, relaxing and cozy environment, focus on the client’s experience

Nothing in particular, if you keep in mind the typology of accomodation you are choosing.

The place was extremely pleasant and feels like home. The view of Nile river with the ships and boat sailing were relaxing. The banana trees as well as the wheat farm gave us feeling of content. The staff: Mahmoud and Ahmed were great. I rushed Mahmoud for the breakfast as our driver came early and he did his best to serve us. The room was clean and everything you might need is available.

There was an issue in the AC which they solved with a fan and eventually the issue was fixed.
