Plum Hillside Lodge

De bungelows zijn echt leuk gemaakt en comfortabel. We hadden een schone kamer en het uitzicht op de tuin/bergen is prachtig.

Bij het inchecken moesten we al beslissen of we daar wilde dineren, omdat anders het eten misschien op is. De locatie ligt wat verder van de stad dus besloten om bij de locatie te eten. Eenmaal ingecheckt bleken we de enige gasten die daar eten te zijn. De medewerker bleef maar borden erbij vragen omdat we anders geen groentes zouden hebben. Ook leek het of we een gerecht per persoon moesten kiezen. Alleen èèn gerecht is meer dan voldoende om te delen. Hierdoor hadden we teveel besteld en helaas viel het eten ook tegen. Misschien is het goed dit duidelijker erbij te vermelden tegen toeristen. Ontbijt is inbegrepen maar dit viel ook tegen. De locatie is een goede plek om te overnachten. Dineren/ontbijten zou ik in het centrum doen.

Wir haben eine Nacht hier verbracht. Die Betten waren bequem. Es war sauber. Für uns war außerdem wichtig, dass es nachts ruhig ist und keine Easy Rider Gruppen Party machen. Und es war sehr ruhig! Man hat nur Naturgeräusche gehört.

Das Frühstück war okay.

Dù mùa này không có buffet nhưng ăn sáng khá đa dạng ,có nhiều lựa chọn nên cũng ok

Mình thích khung cảnh của homestay lúc sáng sớm, mọi thứ tĩnh lặng, có tiếng chim hot, view nhìn ra toàn cảnh núi non của Đồng Văn, mình yêu khung cảnh đó, cảm thấy rất tuyệt.

Phòng khá nhỏ, phòng tắm có mức nước chảy nhỏ, nếu ai thích khung cảnh nhỏ xinh ấm cúng sẽ hợp nhưng mình kỳ vọng vào phòng to hơn với giá tiền đó nên mình thấy phòng khá bình thường.

Wir sind mit großer Vorfreude angereist, müssen aber leider ein gemischtes Fazit ziehen. Das Konzept des Homestay-Zeltes hat Charme, wirkt jedoch aktuell an vielen Stellen etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Positiv hervorzuheben: • Schlafkomfort: Das Bett war angenehm groß und bequem. • Ausstattung: Die Klimaanlage mit integrierter Heizfunktion war bei den kühlen Temperaturen ein echter Pluspunkt und hat sehr zuverlässig gewärmt.

Instandhaltung: Leider gab es technische Mängel im Sanitärbereich; die Dusche tropfte und ein Wasserrohr war undicht. Eine zeitnahe Reparatur würde den Aufenthalt deutlich aufwerten. • Atmosphäre: Das Personal war höflich, wirkte auf uns jedoch sehr distanziert. Hier hätten wir uns ein wenig mehr von der Herzlichkeit erhofft, die man normalerweise mit einem Homestay verbindet. Fazit:

Die Dusche war so heiß (50-60 Grad) - Man konnte sie auch nicht regulieren! Schimmliger Baderaum mit Geruch! Laute Musik bis in den Abend.

Kleine Bungalow, sauber schon Bad nicht so.

Massenabfertigung beim Frühstück, weit außerhalb von Stadtzentrum kein Flair. Sehr laute Hochzeitsfeier essen war deswegen nicht möglich dort.

Es ist so idyllisch und wenn man etwas Ruhe vor den Easy-Ridern haben will perfekt.

De ligging

Die Unterkunft ist ein kleines architektonisches Highlight im Norden Vietnams. Die hübschen Bungalows fügen sich wunderschönen in die Landschaft ein. Ein absolutes Muss auf dem Ha Giang Loop! Ganz liebes und aufmerksames Team! Herzlichen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis!

Was a nice stay. We had a triple room. Wash room was good. Had a good restaurant available too. 1km walk to old town. Undercover parking available for motorcycles.

A little pricey compared to competitors.

I bungalow di questa struttura sono molto graziosi e accoglienti, situati in un contesto bellissimo, circondati dal verde. La struttura si trova leggermente fuori dal centro di Dong Van ma dispone di tutti i servizi necessari per non spostarsi. Buona la cena disponibile su ordinazione e anche la colazione, a base di uova, pane e frutta.

The room was very whimsical and had a round bed which was extremely comfortable. Great views and extremely clean. The breakfast was also very good and had Western and Asian food options.

Purtroppo la comunicazione non è sempre stata tempestiva né su Booking né su WhatsApp. Inoltre, tramite la chat di Booking sono stata invitata a completare un link inviato su WhatsApp per confermare la prenotazione e, dopo averlo fatto, mi sono stati sottratti dei soldi dal conto. La struttura ha segnalato l’accaduto a Booking perché potrebbe trattarsi di un episodio di hacking. Spero venga risolto per evitare disagi ad altri ospiti.

Het eten dat we hadden gegeten voor diner en ontbijt was niet zo goed.. hard, oud brood voor ontbijt en de beef noodles waren smaakloos. Beetje jammer! Ook was de badkamer zeker aan een renovatie toe.

Le son (karaoke) chez les voisins Les cafards Confusion à l’arrivée. Il y a un panneau dans la côte qui pointe au mauvais endroit et il n’y avait personne à l’accueil.

An sich ist die Art und Weise wie es aufgebaut ist eine gute Idee nur leider total in die Jahre gekommen. Im Badezimmer Schimmel wo man nur hin sieht, die Toilette war nicht geputzt (Toilette war noch schmutziger wir haben nur 1x die Spülung betätigt um zu sehen ob es Dreck ist der weg geht oder nicht). Klimaanlage bläst einen genau auf den Kopf beim Schlafen. Preis-Leistung passt hier leider nicht überein

Interesting group of weird little houses makes up this Homestay. We stayed in the tent and the concept was cute, private bathroom was an open shower room. Breakfast was buffet with Asian and western options. Lots of coffee and water included. We came at the end of breakfast hours and the buffet was pretty picked over (the Homestay was quite busy) but still we had plenty to choose from. A/c worked very well.

Without adequate ventilation after showers, the entire bathroom was wet until we checked out (not damp, but really wet) the following day. Nothing here to rave about but nothing terribly wrong either!

Dong Van is one of the main stops on the Ha Giang Loop but if you want the option to walk into town after a short 15 minutes, but still avoid the thousands of 20 year old tourist, Plum Homestay is a great option. The entire facility is very quirky in a very positive way, with small bungalows that are very modern but still adorable with great views as well. It’s much more modern than most homestays in Ha Giang, so it was definitely a comfortable sleep.

It’s not really a Homestay, but more of a hotel so don’t expect to eat with a local tribal family like other places in Ha Giang, and the food is not quite as good as other places we stayed at in Northern Vietnam, but it was still adequate.

We had a pleasant stay at plum homestay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant served very good meals for both dinner and breakfast. The location was quiet and convenient, which added to the overall comfort of our stay.

Located about 15-20 mins walk into centre of town where there were restaurants and bars. Room and shower room both ok. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast had a good choice.

Well kept, lovely bungalow. With the heating on it was nice and warm. Shower was good. Round bed a bit tiered to sleep in. Dinner was great and good value.

Breakfast wasn’t the best, but that’s probably because I chose toast. It was served with margarine (yuk) and shitty ultra processed ham. Coffee was Vietnamese style, not to my taste.

We slept like little roses in this bed. Really nice stay!

Retaurant was half outside and a little cold during winter period

The accommodation is good, and the household items are quite good actually.

You have to run uphill to reach the location, and the location is quite far from the downtown area (you can’t walk)

We stayed at this charming little hotel for one night, and it was such a lovely experience! The view from the bar was absolutely amazing, looking directly out at the majestic mountains—it was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. The cabins were a real standout, beautifully done up with fairy lights that gave them a magical, almost fairytale-like vibe. It felt so cozy and enchanting, especially at night. The location was great too—just a 5-minute walk to the centre of town, making it super convenient while still feeling peaceful and remote. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were spotless with the most comfortable bed—one of the best we’ve slept on during our travels. Breakfast was also a treat, with delicious food to start the day right. The shower uses an electric hot water system, which is common in this part of the world due to its remote location. It takes a little while to warm up, so just be prepared for that. Overall, it was such a clean, peaceful, and unique place to stay. We’d happily visit again!

Facilities were very good staff helpful

Cool accommodation, clean and good quiet location. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time.

The heating wasn’t really working which made it pretty cold in the “tents”. I was thankful I brought my hot water bottle otherwise I probably would have asked to move to a more insulated room. I’m sure it would be lovely when it’s not so cold but it made hard to be comfortable while it felt so cold

Bungalow was great, we had beautiful view. It's close to city centre. Heating also worked great.

I stayed in one of the igloo like rooms. Very spacious and actually had to turn on the heating which worked. Lovely location and views

Plum was a beautiful little ‘homestay’ (more like a hotel!). It is right at the far end of town, however the walk is only 10 minutes into the heart of the town. We stayed in the garden bungalow and it was very nice. It had a fantastic view, the bed was comfy, air conditioning worked really well and it was very quiet at night time. The breakfast provided was superb!

Everything was great, the short road (300m) up to the homestay is probably the only downfall. I don’t know if it’s under construction or simply a bad road.

Duong is very helpful at reception. He helped me in getting A Maasage. Best Massafe I had in Vietnam gitta try. Its 5 star Home stay everything super clean neat, amazing vuews and laundry. The breakfast isbto die for. Lady at Restaurant amazing people and staff. Helped me with everything.
