I came back to Inbox Hostel a week after my first stay because I had such a good experience, and honestly, everything is still just as good. It’s a simple, clean and quiet place with excellent value for money, perfect if you’re travelling around Sorong as a backpacker. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. After trying other places, I had no hesitation in coming back here. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Sorong.

-the host was friendly and welcoming -the shower and toilet was clean -good water pressure in the shower (no hot water) -good location, not too far from airport -good aircon in the room -curtains on the bed for privacy -small light and plug to charge your stuff on the bed -early check in was available at 9am, which is nice if you arrive in the morning

-the matress was a little bit thin, but no issue if you stay only a few nights

Comfy bed, the rest unpleasant

Staff not ready to let me in, tried to make me wait hours to check in even though I had early check-in. So many signs in the place of what they don’t provide and rules. No toilet paper!!! And no advance warning to be prepared. WiFi very weak. The location is not nice to be in.

Perfect stay for a night or two before heading to raja. Staff very helpful, room clean, privacy curtains, decent WiFi and a nice lil coffee shop down the road. Can easily grab deliver food if needed as well.

Clean bed and had the room to myself as there were no other travellers there. Decent for price point and an overnight stay before heading to Raja Ampat.

They don’t provide toilet paper so make sure to get your own to dry yourself after using the water jet (and don’t flush it down the toilet).

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Caretaker is incredibly kind and helpful in getting you situated and attentive to your inquiries and needs.

Long walk to ferry terminal. Have to take taxi, but not expensive to get there.

For some reason there is no toilet paper in the bathroom so I had to go buy some. And there is no hot water in the shower

the hostel is clean, the facilities works well, they have towel and soap for the guest. AC works well, the WC and showerroom are clean, and the watergun works perfectly. for a cheap price, you get a comfortable place to sleep while stay in sorong.

when we want to go out early in the morning we have to knock on the staff's room to wake him up and open the door for us.

La localisation

Très pratique pour une nuit. C’est propre et ça dépanne. Le quartier n’est pas folichon. Des grilles à tous les établissements.. la nuit des bandes circulent. Très bon wifi. Il y a une tres bonne pizzeria à 15 minutes à pied. Le personnel ne parle pas beaucoup anglais. The et café à dispo. Supermarché juste en face.

Le personnel

Von außen nicht als Hostel zu erkennen, aber die Betten im Dorm waren sauber und gut. Klimaanlage läuft im Dorm. Vorhänge für Privatsphäre, saubere Toiletten und Duschen ala Indonesien. Ruhig. Wer eine Nacht in Sorong übernachten muss, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

I stayed here for a night after my trip to Raja Ampat and can't complain about anything. I was lucky enough to be the only person in the room that night so I enjoyed the comfort of having the room for myself. The bed was comfortable and the location of the hostel was very convenient.

Rapport qualité prix incomparable. Emplacement pratique pour être en centre de Sorong mais attention plutôt loin de l’aéroport. Bcp de places dans les sanitaires et douches.

Dortoir féminin le long de la route un peu de bruit la nuit mais rien d’insurmontable.

Most comfortable bed in months of traveling Asia. Truly amazing. Clean with lots of toilets, showers, and sinks. Beds have a lot of privacy and are built really sturdy. Very spacious. Good AC.

We thought there was breakfast based off booking.com and signs in the hostel, but no sign of food or staff in the morning. Decent coffee shop down the road though. There is no curtain on the window and a super bright light that shines into the room all night. Outside road is loud but honestly you won’t find a better place in sorong. Really comfy after RA.

Nothing.

Really cheap good for one evening in Sorong! Was a bit hectic being in downtown Sorong. Fine to walk around in daytime but got a ride after dinner back to hostel. Staff were very helpful and responsive and made sure if we were coming in late we’d be okay with a ride and getting in safe.

No toilet paper??? And location was a bit sketchy. But for one night in between is fine
