Expectations met

Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff always prepared to help. Safe and sufficient parking spaces. The breakfast was a good tasty variety! Enjoyed my brief stay. Location was easily accessible and not hard to find.

Staff was exellent. Restaurant was very good.

Noisy guests. A walk around the property shows signs of dilapidated infrastructure.

The Breakfast was really good and value for money (we were very well accommodated with our erratic times to get breakfast - very BIG thank you).

The Restaurant food was really not the greatest and not value for money at all - only ate there once. The room was good, but I did have leaking toilet every time it flushed and that was not pleasant at all - I did mention it to staff the day we left - room 34.

the lodge needs a revamp. The furniture is old and I didn't have a double plug in the room for my laptop and phone to charge had to go ask for it at the reception. They have open view not smart TV so you can watch other things , you just limited

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and tidy. It was a cold day, but the rooms were already warm upon our arrival.

The shower pressure was low, and we had no water the following day before we left. I called the office to report the problem. The man replied that the town water was finished, that the backup water was open, and that I should leave the taps open to let the air out and that we would get some water. At the time of our departure, there was still no water. When we went for breakfast, the lady at reception remarked that the borehole was frozen, which was the reason we had no water. The restaurant menu and bottled water are expensive.

The lodge is conveniently located and close to amenities. The breakfast was also nice

On Monday the 10th of August the day of check out, there was no water. So had to leave without showering

The location was decent. Quiet and place is too big with huge parking lot.

1. The toilet flushing mechanism didn't work. Had to manually open the lid to flush. 2. In the morning the hot water had a very low pressure into the bath. I had to use the kettle to quicken the process. I liked the place and the room but they need to look into minor maintenance regularly, especially Plumbing. A shower would also be a good thing or even cheaper, the one built in the bath for client's convenience.

It’s on the N14, easy access and easy to identify.

Location is very good

Room did not have any aircon and it was extremly cold.

Breakfast was amazing, place was clean and staff were friendly but the manager was sour, did not greet.

There was a disturbing sound from the roof after flushing the toilet. quite unpleasant. There was a dog roaming around. Not everyone is comfortable with a dog walking around especially the reception area where people enter.

Nothing. It was a horrible night's stay. Barely slept. Room looks dingy. I actually had to smell the bedding to smell if it had been washed.

The other visitors came drunk from the bar on the premises, hassling me throughout the night. They kept knocking on my door and calling me to open. The highway outside the premises is VERY BUSY and noisy. The whole premises is noisy. My room didn't have a shower as advertised only a bath. The bath so was dirty, I decided not to use it. The bedding is old. The premises and room reminded me of a Motel in a dodgy movie.

Based overall value for money, breakfast is acceptable.

There is nothing I did not like. The room was more than what I expected. I even left a tip for the cleaner. Hope she got it.

The room I was places was far and the roads had so many potholes, everything about the inside looked old , the air con was not working properly. I’m very disappointed the place need some serious renovation

I hated everything about the place, the shower was not working properly, the air con did not even warm up the room. The sheets are warm out. I felt cold the entire night . The worse part of it all I fell and injured my ankle on their poorly maintained floor by reception

The place seems like a good property on the outside. However the rooms were very outdated, it's like they haven't been updated in a long time. The toilet was rustic, you can see the water lines made from years of no maintenance. The door was stuck and difficult to open/close. What really inconvenienced me is that I asked for an invoice when I checked in and out and I kept sending messages and calling everyday for a week after checkout before they sent my invoice even though I made the request even before check-in. If you're there for business, it's a big inconvenience.

An unbelievable disappointment. The toilet did not flush properly, the shelf in the bathroom was rusted, the kettle was full of kalk, the teaspoon was a piece of wood!! The desk had no place to work unless I placed the coffee station on the bed. WIFI sketchy, two of the listed facilities on the list for the room- were non-existent. Thank goodness I was here for only one night.

It’s was a horrible experience the breakfast was horrible, didn’t have cups for tea , the dinner one had to wait a for 1H30 to get food apparently they are using one chef. Never again

There was nothing that I liked in this property

If disappointment were a hotel, I’d have just checked out of it. We stayed one night in a family room, and somehow it managed to become the worst hotel experience we’ve had anywhere in South Africa. From the moment we arrived, the place gave off a shady, uncomfortable vibe that made it feel completely unsuitable for a family stay. The issues started piling up fast. The room had a stale, closed-up smell, like it hadn’t seen fresh air in ages. The bathroom didn’t help matters. The toilet flush wasn’t working properly, the space had all the charm of a hospital washroom, and the hot water took so long to arrive you could question your life choices while waiting. There’s also no telephone in the room, which means every small request turns into a walk to reception. Not exactly what you expect when paying premium rates. Speaking of rates, we were charged ZAR 2,200 for the night, which is wildly out of sync with the experience. Based on what we received, it’s hard to justify even half that price. The overall environment made things worse. Late at night, loud music blasted from the pool area with such heavy bass that the windows were literally vibrating. Meanwhile, people were walking around the reception area with glasses of alcohol in hand, right in front of kids, which made the whole atmosphere feel even more inappropriate for families. Outside, the sitting area looked like it had been forgotten. Leaves, dust, and dirt covered the floor, tables, and chairs. Clearly not cleaned for a while. Dinner was another low point. We ordered a pizza via room service and found a piece of plastic baked into it. That alone should raise serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. Breakfast, which we had read good things about, turned out to be completely ordinary. Worse, the restaurant tables had a strange, unpleasant smell, like they’d been wiped with a dirty cloth that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Not exactly appetizing. To top it all off, parking was a mess.

Position good and easy to find. Outside town and away from the messy town. Friendly reception and staff. Nice pool area. Breakfast was good (food).

Burger was terrible. Old bun and not great patty. Unfortunately the facility was not ready and prepped at 7am for breakfast. No coffee mugs out. No spoons and the tables very bland. Run down and requires serious maintenance. Thorny grass patches at the pool. Worst was the loud music and loads of alcohol consumed and allowed to be played at the pool for the entire Saturday until I asked them to please stop. This was at 7pm. (request number 2). The litter was still evident the next day. Both the bar area and the pool area. Bottles everywhere.

Clean room, fresh linen and hot-hot water to shower upon my arrival after 23h00 - maintaining hot water through out at such a remote location is luxury 👌 The friendliest staff and service during our early breakfast [sesi Evah and her crew] - thank you for making us feel at home- some 7+hours away from home.

Some lights are not working in room 8. None functional soap dispenser in the shower that looked dirty. Breakfast variety on par BUT limited quantity available and waiting long for top-up.
