Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Out of all the guesthouses in Kuruman, this is my favorite so far. The place is quite beautiful and neat, the breakfast changes everyday and it's quite well.
I wish they had more cutlery in the rooms, like a knife, fork, a plate so it's easier if you eat dinner there.

Der Ort Kuruman hat uns total erschreckt. Das Eye of Kuruman ist verdreckt, komplett eingezäunt und lädt nicht zum Verwrilen ein. Die Mission ist bis auf Weiteres geschlossen. Dafür kann das Gästehaus nichts. Wir sind nach einer Nacht vorzeitig abgereist.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Cette guesthouse est un très bon choix pour séjourner à Kuruman. Située au calme avec un jardin agréable, vous pouvez arriver le soir sans problème avec un système d'enregistrement à distance (réseau téléphonique nécessaire ou utiliser whatsapp). Chambres joliment décorées, lit très confortable et superbe salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Bref un hébergement tout confort.
La guesthouse héberge tout type de client mais semble recevoir beaucoup de clients pros qui dorment seuls. D'où quelques choix qui pourraient nécessiter des améliorations : la chambre n'est pas gigantesque et il n'est pas simple d'y mettre deux grosses valises, pas de séparation physique entre la chambre et la salle de bain (je vous rassure les toilettes ne sont pas visibles de la chambre !) ce qui peut être gênant quand vous n'êtes pas syncro avec votre moitié et une seule grande serviette au lieu de deux ! Je l'ai signalé à mon premier passage mais rien n'avait changé à notre 2ème passage. La force de l'habitude sans doute. D'où la note de 8 pour un établissement qui vaudrait 9 sans ça.

Ontbijt zeer beperkt. Amper vers fruit, geen yoghurt. Zwembad s nachts zeer storend: men laat de stofzuiger op staan en in de kamer aan het zwembad is er de ganse nacht een bonkend geluid.

The owner called me an hour after making a booking to tell me that she wants to sleep, I therefore expressed to her that my husband is on his way. When he finally arrived he was shown the room, he reports he wanted to watch TV and there was no remote so he sent the owner a text message and even called for assistance, he was told how she and her kids are sleeping. One can’t pay so much for poor hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Neighbours keep beehives, be careful if you are allergic. My hubby got stung in the parking lot. Rooms needs a bit of TLC (items to be fixed/replaced)

The staff members knock-off at 6pm and there’s no room service or housekeeping assistance until 7am the next day. The kitchen only opens at 8am for breakfast That was too late, especially when people have to go to work or leave at 7am .

The attitude of the owner. In the morning she didn't bother to ask how the self check in went or how I slept. She didn't even great me. It was her husband that said hi. She however spent time with some guests enquiring about them and exchanging some pleasantries. I encountered her by the pool on my way to my room, she didn't even acknowledge me. I found is quite disappointing that the color of a person's skin still determines how they are treated.

Reviewed Sep 23, 2023Superb guesthouse. Unfortunately we only stayed one night on our way back home. The manager, Mandi, was fantastic and since we wanted an early departure she packed a really substantial breakfast for us. Highly recommended.
