Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The location was the best thing as we went to spend time with the waterfall and it was just 5-10 minutes walk , second best was the staff , very polite, helpful and friendly.
It was extremely noisy , between 1-3 pm someone decided to have all the conversation they could, the church bells rung every hour for ten minutes .

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Weil ich den Rheinfall besuchen wollte, hat mir mein Neffe ein Zimmer im ZAK in Neuhausen gebucht. Mit dem Bus bin ich vom Bahnhof in SH in ein paar Minuten fast bis vor den Eingang des Hotels gekommen. Von der Bushaltestelle musste ich nur ein paar Schritte laufen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotelzimmer war sauber und gepflegt. Dass Haus ist natürlich schon älter. Aber es strahlt auch einen gewissen Charme aus. Geschlafen habe ich gut. Die Matratzen sind nicht zu weich und nicht zu hart. Das Frühstück habe ich auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus eingenommen. Mit der netten Chefin habe ich am Morgen noch ein paar Worte gewechselt. Ich komme gerne nochmals wieder.
Für mich war alles ok. Habe nichts auszusetzen.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026L'hôtel est bien situé, proche des chutes du Rhin. Il est simple mais très propre. La chambre pour une personne était de bonne dimension. L'arrêt du bus est à côté, ce qui est évidemment très pratique.
Il faisait atrocement chaud dans cette chambre, pas d'air, pas de possibilité d'ouvrir les fenêtres en grand, ni d'obscurcir. L'oreiller était tellement épais et dur que j'ai dû l'enlever pour ne pas me bloquer la nuque et du coup je n'avais que mon linge de bains plié pour reposer ma tête.

Alter Flachdachbau aus den 70ern. Bei der Hitze im Sommer heitzt sich das Zimmer stark auf. Am Abend bekommt man die Hitze nicht aus dem Zimmer.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026L’établissement est très bien situé, à environ 15 minutes à pied des chutes du Rhin, avec un supermarché Coop et plusieurs commerces à proximité. La chambre était propre, correcte et bien équipée pour un séjour d’une nuit, avec le linge et les produits nécessaires dans la salle de bains. Le personnel était sympathique et disponible. La personne présente lors de notre départ était particulièrement gentille et accueillante. Pour un établissement deux étoiles, la chambre correspondait globalement à ce que j’attendais.
L’établissement n’est pas très facile à identifier depuis l’extérieur et la réception se fait dans le bar situé au rez-de-chaussée.La personne présente lors de mon arrivée ne parlait pas anglais. Ma cousine, qui ne séjournait pas avec moi, m’a simplement aidé à traduire en allemand pendant le check-in. Certains clients du bar ont eu des regards très insistants envers elle, ce qui nous a mis mal à l’aise, même si cela ne concernait pas directement le personnel de l’hôtel. Le principal problème était la chaleur dans la chambre. Les stores avaient été laissés ouverts en plein soleil et la pièce était devenue extrêmement chaude. Malgré les fenêtres ouvertes et le petit ventilateur fourni, il était presque impossible de rafraîchir la chambre et j’ai très mal dormi. La chambre était aussi peu insonorisée et la cuvette des toilettes n’était pas correctement fixée, car elle bougeait fortement.

They have helped us with the parking, we enjoyed the warm welcome and got all the things we might have needed during the stay + even more. Because of the bar downstairs I was a bit worried about the noise at night, but it wasn't disturbing at all, we did not even used the ear plugs we got. I couldn't have choosen a better place, the Rheinfall was within easy walking distance though the price was affordable.
It can be really hot in the rooms, but there was a fan in each room. The stairs can be a problem, if you have difficulties anyway.

Personál neovláda ani základy angličtiny. Recepcia v bare na mňa večer pri mojom príchode zle pôsobila. Raňajky boli skromné. Mne stačili, ale chlap by sa z toho nenajedol.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026Personeel is super vriendelijk. We kregen bij in en uitchecken een drankje. Het zit op loop afstand van de rheinfall echt een aanrader. Om daar te kijken en om bij zak te overnachten. Je merkt dat het meer een lokaal hotel is, de buren/arbeiders komen in de ochtend in hun pauze een koffietje halen. Erg gezellig. Een lekker, verzorgt maar basis ontbijt, aan je tafeltje buiten. Croissant, broodje, koffie, sju. Jam.
Het sanitair/kamer is wat gedateerd. Maar wel schoon en heel goed bruikbaar. Geen lift. Verder een prima kamer, ruim, goede bedden.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Wir haben auf unserer Rheinradtour für eine Nacht Station im Zak Neuhausen gemacht und uns über ein ruhiges, helles Zimmer zum Innenhof gefreut. Die Lage des Hauses ist ideal, um entspannt zu Fuß zum Rheinfall von Schaffhausen zu spazieren. Kaffee und Bier in der Bar direkt im Haus haben wir sehr genossen und sind sofort ins Plaudern gekommen mit Chefin Irene und Mitarbeiterin Petra. Beide sind super nett und haben sich extrem darum gekümmert, dass es uns gut geht und wir uns rundum wohlfühlen. Das ist ihnen gelungen. Herzlichen Dank dafür!!
In der Bar wird geraucht, daher riecht es sehr nach Rauch. Da wir bei schönstem Wetter draußen am Tisch sitzen konnten, war das für uns in diesem Fall kein Problem.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Das Personal und der Chef sind überaus freundlich. Nach einem Parkplatzproblem hat uns der Chef einen Parkplatz zur Verfügung gestellt, für den wir 7 CHF bezahlt haben.
Wenn es am Hotel keine Parkplätze gibt, ist das problematisch, da man in der Stadt von 8 bis 18 Uhr gebührenpflichtig parken muss. Dann kann man den Aufenthalt nicht richtig genießem.

Check out bis 09:00 ist relativ früh.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2026Die Chefin Irene ist ein ❤️- guter Mensch.. Sogar unsere 3 kleinen Fellnasen durften mit übernachten ohne Aufschlag.Sie hatte uns das Geschenkt. Dazu gab es noch ein.paar Wikommensgeschenke🥰. Man sollte aber wissen das es unterhalb eine Bar hat und dem nach auch mal etwas läutere Musik läuft,was wir aber wussen und uns keines wegs gestört hat.im gegenteil wir kommen gerne wieder. Lg Conny & Hundis.
