Reviewed Mar 26, 2026The location of the homestay is really nice. Away from the chaos but not far away from the main areas. The rooms were clean and overall the property was very neat and spacious. Perfect for me, my wife and kid. I would surely visit again if I come
There was nothing to dislike. My only feedback would be to add some basic toiletries but that's not an issue at all.

La distance du centre de Madikeri peut être contraignante quand on ne dispose pas d'un véhicule.

Host went out of his way to welcome us even though we arrived late around 3:00 am. We were very grateful that he accommodated our such late check in request.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2024This is a nice & beautiful home stay for couples and Family. Its near to KSRTC bus station and Mr. Manoj's hospitality was really good, Best place for couples and budgeted too. The owner Mr. Manoj is very much humble and cooperative. Felt like staying at home.

Morning breakfast and night dinner awesome prepared by his family.hot water available 24 hours for shower. Manoj sir arrange the cab or auto for sightseeing. Reviewed Mar 19, 2024The homestay is clean, the rooms are nice and the host was very friendly and helpful. There were also some laundry lines on the roof so we didn't have to wonder how to dry our laundry,which has proven to be an issue on this trip. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would definitely book again, if we go back to Madikeri.
The place is on the outskirts of Madikeri, so there are few stores or eateries around. We also had an encounter with some aggressive street dogs on out very first day, but that was a one off and the neighbors were kind enough to help us.

Be it veg food like the Neer Dosa or non-veg foods like Kori Gassi ( Chicken in Coconut Sause-a speciality of Karnataka) or Corri Pandi - the food is cooked by the owner of the house Mr. Manoj A. Cariappa and his wife - it is AWESOME. All foods were cooked with locally produced natural ingredients. I would say -if you are interested in tasting authentic Kannadiga cuisines- you should stay with Sili Homestay. These food you will not get even in 5 star Hotels at 10 times the price. Hot water is available from 8 am to around 8 pm - Solar heated ( environment friendly) There is bedding space for 7 people. We were 5 members. Rooms are super clean. Drinking flutes amd glasses are also available for use. We had brandy. Beautiful Tea Sets were also available.
Locating the property might be a bit difficult initially.
