The common men's shower area was uncomfortable due to privacy concerns. Each shower cubicle is separated only by a curtain, which feels invasive and lacks adequate privacy while showering.

They need to revisit the toilets/shower area. The curtains needs come cleaning/ changing. The shower walls needs some scrubbing as well. Some hooks were already broken. Just a minor issue that can be fixed. Otherwise, good value for money

They don’t have close convenience store. They have sari sari store close by but I hope they have like 7/11 or alfamart close by. Closest 7/11 I think is 6 mins walk and I just don’t feel comfortable walking outside. Although it’s safe, since there is school across street.

Plus, the room is just spacious—enough storage, cloth rack, more space to move. I did not feel cramped that other hostels made me feel and that is the wow factor for me. Good job!
It really did not bother me that much, but they could improve the air conditioning.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026I stayed here as a solo traveler during my vacation in Manila, and I really enjoyed my stay. I love the vibe and aesthetics of the hostel. The dorm room and beds were clean and comfortable. The hostel has a nice community feel, and it was easy to meet other travelers and make new friends. The staff were all amazing, very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is also great, just a few minutes from the airport. One of the best parts of my stay was meeting new people and sharing stories with them. That's one of the reasons why I love staying in hostels whenever I travel. Thank you, Yamato Hostel, for a great stay. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Manila!

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026Outstanding experience. I landed at 5am and decided to come here last minute and the team was able to accommodate early check in for a fee. I was able to request this via WhatsApp with ease. The space was absolutely beautiful, architecture and design along with cleanliness. Ive stayed in lots of hotels and a few hostels and this was a great experience! I also loved the two areas to hangout plus the quiet room as I could get work done. There was also a comfy chair I could relax in. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy. They also provide a toothbrush set which is a nice touch. The locker is large as well which was amazing.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Nice, well climated rooms. Quiet rooms and comfy and social common area that really feels like a living room. The hostel is a nice mix of dorms and private rooms that come together in the common area to talk, watch movies and drink coffee. I stayed in female only dorm and the beds were comfortable and well isolated through the curtains. The lockers keep the room tidy and your stuff safe. The staff is working hard and are very aware for small and bigger tasks for maintaing the whole place.
1. There aren't really any shops nearby. You can place an order for an convienience store with Reception and online. And there are 4 small Restaurants in one place right underneath the hostel. 2. The bathrooms are sometimes not very clean. Because they have the bumgum included in the toilet, there isn't really a way to help keep the toilets clean and you find poopstreaks quite regularly in the toilet. That could be improved by adding a toilet brush. The bins in the toilets could be emptied more often. It is very hot in the bathroom. But also during my stay, they renewed the shower heads which shows that they are improving.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Very modern/Japanese inspired look and clean inside. The private room we had was with 2 very comfortable large double beds. Bathroom was also very clean. Close enough to the airport for us. The shared areas looked nice but we didn’t use them as we were only there one night.
We arrived at night and the area didn’t seem great. But it wasn’t an issue for us as it was just a one night stay before a flight.

Reviewed May 12, 2026חדר המעונות נשים של 4 מיטות פשוט עצום בגודלו ומאפשר לכולנו לקבל את המרחב הפרטי שלהם גם בתוך חדר המעונות. הלוקרים ענקיים ומאפשרים גם שמירה של תיקים גדולים. יש בחדר מתלה לבגדים רטובים. המיטה ממש נוחה ונקייה וכן גם הכרית והשמיכה. יש ליד המיטה מדף שמאפשר להניח דברים עליו ויש גם מנורה אישית לכל מיטה. המזגן בחדרים מצויין. צוות העובדים מקסים, אכפתי, סבלני ועוזר בהכל. יש מים חמים במקלחות המשותפות. יש מרחבים משותפים מדהימים (יש גם חדר שקט שמאפשר עבודה שקטה). מדהיםםם אחזור בשנית
