Wikungo Hotel

La struttura è molto bella, pulita e caratteristica. La nostra stanza era grande e pulita, così come il bagno. Letti comodi, aria condizionata e pressione della doccia adeguata. Lo staff è stato molto disponibile: abbiamo usufruito della lavanderia e delle cene a un prezzo bassissimo quando rientravamo tardi dalle escursioni. Anche per le escursioni ci siamo affidati all'hotel: poco dopo il nostro arrivo Louis, la loro guida di riferimento, ci ha esposto le diverse possibilità con i relativi programmi e prezzi. Noi abbiamo scelto di farne 4, ciascuna di mezza giornata: la camminata notturna nella foresta per osservazione dei piccoli animali notturni e insetti, la visita alla comunità di San Antonio con passeggiata nella foresta e osservazione dei bradipi, navigazione con bagno e tramonto sul Lago Tarapoto e infine visita a Alto del aguila per vedere pappagalli i scimmiette e pesca dei piranha. Se dovessi tornare, soggiornerei di nuovo qui perché non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio. Allego qualche fotografia delle escursioni.

Poca varietà nella colazione, ma in Colombia è stato così quasi ovunque.

We had a nice stay here. The air-conditioning was nice after some hot days in the Amazon. The location is great; just tucked away from the main part of the town. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Don Alberto fue muy amable, nos ubicó en una habitación muy bonita y cómoda. Tenía aire acondicionado, nevera, balcón y muy espaciosa. El servicio de lavandería fue muy bueno y la comida muy rica. También ofrecen paquetes turísticos a buen precio. Don Marco Peña nos hizo un tour excelente. Vimos varios osos perezosos, probamos frutas salvajes, vimos los delfines grises y nadamos en el lago Tarapoto cerca de los delfines rosados. Vimos muchas aves y pasamos por medio de la jungla. Una experiencia maravillosa.

Me gustaría que ofrecieran champú y acondicionador en el hotel, o que informaran si no tenían porque no sabía. También que hubiera una secadora para la ropa.

Everything was great! The staff took great care of me and the room was clean and comfortable. The air condintioning worked well and I have to say it was vry nice to sleep in the AC each night. Alex arreanged tours for me and they were all amazing! I saw so many sloths and pink dolphins amongst other things. The breakfast war nice and typical and filling.

I didn't really have anything I disliked. Many people from the US would ding them for not having hot water, but hey you are in the Amazon! Shower at the end of the day when you're hot and sweaty and it is refreshing, it's not actually cold water, it's more like lukewarm.

It’s probably the best hotel in town, the owner, Don Alberto, takes good care of everything and Dora, the assistant, manages everything with a smile. Overall a great experience considering how far is Puerto Nariño from any other town.

I loved the extremely helpful manager and staff. They put me in contact with a very good local guide. Altogether they made my trip both interesting and pleasant. My room was also very comfortable and clean, the restaurant good and convenient. I felt welcome. Would definitely go back.

A good comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Alberto can arrange good visits, with a helpful guide, to the Amazon rainforest in Peru and also the Lago Tarapoto. In both locations there is lots of wildlife to see, including sloths, grey and pink dolphins and numerous birds. Good breakfast included and lunch at a very reasonable price

The rooms were very comfortable with a strong fan and air-conditioner. Breakfast was very good--fresh and included in the price. The location is excellent to the port and within a short walking distance from all the attractions in town. The owner or manager is very helpful if you need a guide to show you around town or take tours. There are tour agencies around town as well and some people who are experienced in certain activities. It's a great place to start your own walking tour as well. It's very nice to come back to a clean room, shower and cool off.

Had a wonderful experience in the hotel. Good clean rooms (with airco, very much needed here!), nice food, and great and helpful staff. We came here without a tour and they linked us to a guide who showed us around many different activities in the Amazon. 10/10 would come back. Thanks to Luis and Alberto

El hotel está muy bien ubicado en Puerto Nariño con un acceso fácil a todos los puntos de interés del pueblo. Las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y cómodas, y el personal fue muy amable y atento durante toda la estancia. La experiencia fue tranquila y perfecta para descansar después de las excursiones.

No había gel ni champú en la habitación, aunque es algo habitual en la mayoría de alojamientos de la zona, así que es recomendable llevarlos desde casa.

Airconditioning was a blessing on a particularly scorching day. My boat left at 7am in the morning but they made sure I was able to have breakfast before I left, even though breakfast normally doesn’t start until 7.

No hot water in the shower but that’s not uncommon in Puerto Narino.

The Wikungo hotel is located in the centre of Puerto Nariño, but very silent and comfortable. Rooms are clean and cozy, and security is guaranteed. You have a bed and a small desk in the room, and WiFi connection at the entrance. The staff are also very kind!
