Outside of the building there was a contruction side And the owner didn’t tell us before our booking or upon arrival. It was very noisy in the mornings, loud music and not very pleasant mornings. I told the owner and he responded that he called the police on the workers which i think from my side was a bit too much. And anyway the music stopped for a bit and then they put it on again which i understand they are working and want to also listen to music. The next day the workers did the same, loud music in the morning. If we knew that this would have been the situation, we wouldn’t have stayed there. Thankyou Ricardo for always responding fast and always kind.

While it was a nice property, parking locally is a challenge 24 hour parking is situated further down in the town. There was work to relay the pavement outside under way when we arrived which meant it was difficult to access the property and this was not communicated ahead of time. The workmen began work loudly at 8am.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The B&B is located right in the center of Coimbra, with most of the city's attractions within easy walking distance. The room was very clean and spacious. One thing I particularly appreciated was the housekeeping service: every day the room was cleaned, the bed was made, and the towels were replaced. It was a level of attention to detail that is not always easy to find. There is really nothing negative to say. Another highlight was the owner, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He provided all the information we needed through Booking messages, making it very easy to access the property using the entry codes. He was also always available to help if needed. After checking out, we realized that we had accidentally left a phone charger in the room. The owner kindly went back to the property to retrieve it and made sure we got it back, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend this B&B. We were truly delighted with our stay.
Nothing.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Big rooms, supermarket next door, coffee machine, all new appliances. Quiet location so perfect to sleep. Overall, okay for the price.
The keypad on my door broke halfway through, so they gave me a key. For the last 3 days, they didn't clean my room, I guess it was because of that, I didn't message the host about that, and I assumed the key was for the broken keypad, so not entierly their fault. The location is good but not that close to the center, so keep that in mind. The shower also kept "ejecting" water halfway through the night, which woke me up some nights. No lift, so if you have luggage and in the 2nd or third floor have that in mind.
