Our stay at The Boathouse was nothing short of exceptional! The house is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. A special thank you to Andre, who is truly an outstanding host. His communication is top-notch — you never have to wonder about anything because he responds almost immediately and is always willing to assist. What really makes The Boathouse stand out is the incredible sense of privacy and tranquility. It's the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with family. The stunning artwork throughout the house adds so much character and charm, making the experience even more special. My family absolutely LOOOOOOOVED every moment of our stay! We are already missing The Boathouse 😞 and counting down the days until we return. Without a doubt, this has become our home away from home. ❤️ Thank you, Andre, for hosting us and creating such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back!🌟

It is a nice and quite neighbourhood. The host was always prepared to help, if needed. Sunset can be viewed from the bedroom window. Easy access to the main road. Big Braai inside the living area.

They had EVERYTHING that we needed and more. This is our second stay at the BOATHOUSE and I will be back next year with the family again! Andre has been helpful from the moment we booked. Thank you so much. A big thank you to the cleaning staff as well, the place is suoer neat!

Nothing to dislike

Lovely accommodation. Well appointed. The road is very quiet and the boathouse had everything we needed. Quick access to the river was a real treat for evening walks.

I loved the quiet, peacefulness. The fact that there was everything we needed. Played games, enjoyed the walks and kids loved the kayaks.

The only thing was the one bathroom for 6 people. I noticed another on the outside, but we did not have access

From the moment we arrived, the owner greeted us with incredible warmth and hospitality they were simply amazing, going out of their way to make our family feel so welcome and cared for. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. The extras provided were superb from luxurious toiletries and a fully stocked kitchen to cozy blankets and all the little touches that make a stay feel luxurious. The owner even took the extra step to fill up the pool especially for my kids, which turned our holiday into pure joy for them. The location is wonderful: peaceful yet convenient, with breathtaking views and easy access to everything we wanted to explore. We spent our days out and about, but coming back to this haven each evening was pure bliss. We enjoyed every single moment of our time here and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. If you're looking for the perfect family-friendly place to stay, look no further this house is a gem!

Only issue was dog hair which was clean properly, messed with kids sinus abit

Perfect. Out of the books. This is one of our favourite spots to visit. The Boathouse is a sanctuary for our family to escape the city and enjoy the tranquility of Veldrif. The house has everything you need and is super comfortable. Our dogs love to run around in the spacious yard. We also enjoyed a little fishing and birdwatching in the huge tree in the yard as well as down by the water. The indoor braai was fantastic and the dart board provided us with hours of enjoyment as well. Lots of great suggestions from the host for spots to visit as well. Thanks Andre for having us. We will definitely be back.

Everything about the property ,host and location was excellent.

We loved the fact that it is walking distance from the river. The house is well equipped with all the necessities. We felt at home.

The location is amazing, close to the river, the port and some beautiful trails. Our dogs love the yard. The house met all our expectations and was very comfortable.

Very happy with the whole experience

Tha location was great, proximity to the river. Great facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, inside braai, games, security, parking. André was an amazing host, gave us lots of information well in advance. Always following up on our stay without being intrusive.

Sleeping arrangements for 6 people upstairs only, only 1 bathroom for 6.

The private jetty added a touch of exclusivity, and we couldn't resist taking advantage of it. The overall experience was superb, making our stay truly special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a picturesque retreat with delightful amenities.

Excellent braai facility, very spacious safe accommodation. Everything you need is there no need to take anything just yourself.

No bathroom on top floor. Staircase not for elderly.

Beautiful location and amazing house with everything you need and more for a self catering stay including extras to make life easier with a 'home away from home' feel. The owner is EXTREMELY friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very comfortable beds and ample extra blankets, towels ect

Beautiful house for 1 family (or friends/family that you are close with), living area lovely and large but can be challenging with only 1 indoor bathroom/shower and large open plan loft that is split into 2 sides. We had no issue with this as the people we traveled with are very close friends.

Location is great. Property secure and private.

An amazing, private place that is quirky and comfortable. Everything one needed was provided. Communication was friendly and helpful. A kind offer was made for a late check-out so the husband could watch the rugby!

The shower could be stronger.
